might be a dumb question but, why do you have to flip a coin to decide who is going to have an advantage pingwise? cant you pick a server thats in the middle so that both partiesd have around the same ping?
if its bo3 it goes 1 turn each then coin flip for final fight assuming first two fights were 1-1, if first two is 2-0 its over

Age are important in gaming industry, people with same skill set , young people tend to have much fast reaction. Hence egamer pro retired after 25-26. I heard 1013 are very young.
Believe it or not but reaction times only start to dwindle significantly in your 30s.
People retire for multitude of reasons. They get washed up. They lose the flame and desire to win more. Perhaps they've won plenty of times. Or the greatest victory just keeps slipping from their grasp.
Their priorities may change - many professional videogamers have been sat in front of a PC screen for 15+ years, since their early childhood. Maybe they want to do something else.

1013 has never cheated… he used 3rd party clients like a lot of other pkers with illegal freezer timers etc but he never used ahk or auto pray switcher etc
