We don't have the climate, even for indoor it matters. The terpenes and flavor profiles cannot be matched. Idk what growers your thinking of but the ones I smoke blow anything in MI out of the water. Also depends, if your a smoker that goes for bulk zips or the best price in town your gonna find garbo anywhere. Elephants Growth, Hill Wizard, Mount Burnin/Silky, Zops House, just a few off the top all top tier. But you will pay that price.

The entirety of the Cali market absent a few brands is focused on the price they're getting backdoored for a pack. Maine and the East Coast doesn't have this issue. Less salts, less chemicals, more focus on natural gardening and living soil. Northeast weed is the best in America right now. Hell, Spannabis proved that when the East Coast fucking swept up.
I think it's a bit unfortunate that Thailand, like most other traditional cannabis-producing regions, is flooded with American hybrid genetics now. Are there any farmers/shops out there preserving the old traditional native landraces, and growing them really well up to modern standards, or is it all just American hybrids?
I think it largely depends upon what type of weed the region produces. More sativa leaning places like Thailand are growing bud to smoke, so it's more likely the land races will get replaced by the modern genetics in favour of more potent weed but other areas where the more indica plants come from tend to make hash, so the new genetics have less appeal. Gree House Seed company did a fine job travelling the world handing out their wank genetics to all the places still with land races. Nearly criminal what those fools did. Let's hope enough of these land races survive in tact to the future.
Mostly hybrids.... The thing is that the "old shool" strains has no place in this market. Owners shops, tourists or locals just wants to hear fancy names and see "Pgr looking" buds. Yeah the dry air and abundant sunshine can’t be beat. Growing in more tropical climates leads to bud rot so you can’t have as fat of colas and whatnot without literally putting straws in the nugs to keep them from rotting inside out
It's so hard to do comparisons like that unless they are both not older, and then the shipping to get Cali there isn't friendly on packages. I would say you can find better there if know the right people not from shops.

Yeno the facility you was walking around in the UK.... well if you had two facilities one in cali, one in the UK, same lighting, same fans, same style of media, nutrients, ppms, pHs etc etc just everything exactly the same temperatures, humidity, dry conditions, cure conditions.... same strain cut........ you'd not see much difference at all.... they'd be pretty much the same, filtered air coming in and out the room etc, RO water, etc etc.... you really wouldn't know the difference...... a facility is a facility.... this test you've done, shows how different strains can be from your perception better than others

@@shuuuuut_4217 I agree that alot of the old school stuff is better, before about the 70s 80s, there was no such thing as indoor, everything was outdoor, so when people were just starting to take landrace genetics and combine them together to make for examples, white widow, Northern lights, skunk, Himilaya gold etc etc etc there's many more, these type of things are closer to that more natural outdoor landrace stuff that some of them cannabinoid profiles and terpene profiles are getting lost on alot of this more modern indoor stuff, some of the smells were actually predator deterrents to keep predators away from attacking the plant, that's why alot of old school stuff absolutely reeked, it was just pungent.... alot of the new school stuff is just been overly bred indoors and is losing alot of that type of stuff of it, especially in the last so many years where new stuff is coming out every few weeks in America because they mixing this with that, that with this, then that with this and so on and so on, and it's well far away from that original landrace stuff that it was, so I believe old school stuff is better even if the THC isn't as high as it is now, the total % of terpenes might have gone up but certain terpenes have got lower whilst other have got higher, and the terpenes that are getting lost is what was adding to that stankyness of the flower... so old school genetics, outdoors is what I think is better, just my opinion tho
