- Camping on a farm! Day 4 on the MABDR found us partway up section 5, headed North from Owen's Creek. Without knowing how far we'd make it, we had no reservations for the night's camping (again) and it was Labor Day weekend. Well, stay tuned to see where we end up on this section of the MABDR.
The Mid-Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route spans 1,080 miles from Damascus, VA to Lawrenceville, PA, on the New York State border. Taking as much gravel and off-road options as possible, we were able to experience a part of America that is rarely seen! Come along for the ride!
The pesky red light is back on again, that's been giving me anxiety in previous episodes! 😅
That close call is a really good advertisement for having Cardo headsets to stay in contact with each other! That loose, marble-like gravel is probably coal processing slag. Pretty common here in Pennsylvania, but miserable for bikes.
Ah! Yeah, Belleville. You were in the heart of Pennsylvania's nicest people.
This is a great series of videos! Very well edited and narrated. I can’t wait to ride the MABDR.
Hey roo .... Really enjoyed going along with you guys , looking over your shoulder. I didn't get wet or cold , or fall off.... But I was right there with y'all 👍😁. And dude , you're so positive and upbeat . Every section you LOVE ..... for different reasons . I've seen some of your old WRR vids from back in the day ..... And I've never seen you get pissed.... Or even upset. 🤔 Either you're a super cool guy or ..... Great editing 😂 ......anyways , was very entertaining vids on a beautiful adventure...... Thanks for posting !
Beautiful farm you made your way to, that was one fateful meeting at that overlook.
It really was! We had such a great evening with them!
You were at the hemlock area, not far from there I hiked to a summit of a mountain called pole steeple. I thought about doing this BDR or PA wilds next year. I just got done a local 5 day motorcycle camping trip.
Yay more videos!!!
Keep them coming broooo
I ride michaux forest almost every weekend as I'm local in gettysburg..cant wait to ride the whole thing now!!! thanks for the awesome vids!!As always ride on!!!
Tip on the center stand. Make sure both legs of the stand are in contact with the ground before you try and lift the bike back onto it, It will be much easier. I also try and grab down by the passenger peg or something so you can help lift the back as you push down with your leg, that technique has always worked well for me. Loving the vids! Great work, hoping to run some MABDR sections when we head down from NH this summer to run the blue ridge parkway down to the deals gap area.
Check out the TH-cam video by MotoJitsu on how to get a GS on the center stand. Took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but now I can do it first try every time now, even fully loaded down.
Super nice people there at the end!! Really glad you showed that part. Greatly enjoying this trip!!!
Cool shot of the bridge. Unfortunately missed that part of the MABDR on my recent trip so was cool to see!
Awesome ride you two are having. Thank you for sharing. Great work on the narrative, really enjoying your descriptions of what you are seeing & feeling, almost feel like I am there. MABDR is on the list of must do’s. Nice bikes too.
It's crazy to see fuel prices just a year ago. Currently diesel is 539 where I'm at and in your video it was 275
Enjoying the video series. Looking at planning something myself in the future and this looks really fun. Question for you all: Is there a reason you didn't use any kind of communicator?
Loved the video. But the singing? Don’t give up your day job. Thanks again!
Hello friend
The video of the motorcycle driving in nature is so fantastic and amazing.
It's a great video that gives me healing.
