It's actually crazy how drastically different this game can play out. I mean, I've watched 3 or 4 different playthroughs of this and had never seen any of the stuff past the 1 hour mark. *SPOILERS* For example: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The flashbacks with the extra house & villagers, the cocoons (?), that weird ass spider skeleton monster & that entire bit of the underground torture temple or whatever. It was all new to me. On the other side of things, the things I've seen in other playthroughs that I *didn't* see here: A chase sequence with a *different* monster, the sewer area (and chase), the Aztec pyramid type area, the OTHER mirror twist, monster gameplay, the *red* end & the MEAT HOLE. Honestly, pretty sick.
Spoilers . . . . . . . . I think the stuff you saw from other playthroughs is no longer in the modern game. Daph played the more recent directors cut edition which as you can see definitely changed some stuff. And I think the monsters are the same just at different stages.
Anyone remember what game she played that was like this graphic wise and in russian? It started with the player in a bus going to a remote place where the player grandfather house is. Then there's a few jumpscare at said house, some creepy moving picture, a hay monster, a swarm of wasp attacking, following a toy train in some caves...yeah. Daph played that this year I think. Maybe 5-8 months ago? Wanted to rewatch it again since I never watch the ending and this game remind me of it.
