This week, we have put together a video to share with you our 4 personal favourite Brisbane suburbs....we call them our top 4!
These are places where we love to visit and could happily live.....We hope you enjoy it!!!

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
Our videos are posted weekly 😊 (we aim for Thursdays).

Thanks Guys 🤗 yes Graceville has beautiful houses. They are called “Queenslanders” because they are built high off the ground to allow breezes underneath to cool the house down in the Queensland heat ☀️
I’ve lived on the Gold Coast for 14 years and have never ventured to any of the Outer Brisbane suburbs. Thank you so much for showing me what I have been missing. I love each and every one of your videos, they’re such a mine of information about the South East and Sunshine Coast set in such wonderful, relaxing and educational ways. Great video . My favourite suburb is Aspley - so close to great Cafes, parks and schools with westfield on the door step and easy to get to the beach on the Sunshine Coast
Thanks Ty 🤗 you’re right…Aspley does have a lot to offer. We love that it’s so green and lots of people are lucky enough to live on acreage there. On a good run, it only takes 20 min to the city and less than an hour to the coast 😊

As soon as you mentioned Toogoolawah I got excited. My favourite small town.
I've been to Bulimba a few times now. Great area. My choir has a rehearsal in Bulimba. So I get the bus in on a Friday morning from my Grandparents. Its held at the bulimba community centre on the other side of the park so I walk up the path.
Hi Beth and Paul, I studied English in Brisbane in 2017 for a year. I lived in Woolloongabba. And without a doubt, Brisbane is an unforgettable city and holds a special place in my heart as my favorite city. I hope someday to come back there. Greetings from Chile.

These are some lovely suburbs. I'm very familiar with west end as my choir rehearses at Aphea hall on boundary street west end so right off the main street. we also go to Frydays bar and kitchen after rehearsal. Love the Queenslander style homes.

Hey Beth and Paul! I am an 18 year old from California and watching your videos just makes me itch to go to Australia. Ever since I was a kid I've loved the wildlife there and have been mesmerized by the culture and comparitively lower cost of living (I live in San Diego, and finding an apartment around here is not cheap). I am saving up to make a trip out there in the coming years and I may just end up staying for life! Love the videos, you two!

We lived in Bulimba for a few years and the Bulimba church is where my daughter was christened 16 years ago. Thanks for bringing back the memories guys. Was only renting then, wish we had bought there as we'd be rolling in it now.

Another beautiful video from one of the prettiest parts of the world. It's always funny how we graviate to familar surroundings from the past ( West End.) Harriet and I do the same thing (West Roxbury Ma. USA ) The homes are stunning in West End. Harriet and I make it point to walk in different neighborhoods where we live. You were in Bulimba! That’s where we are living. I wish I’d seen you! I would have taken you both for a coffee or a glass of wine to say thank you for all the lovely, inspirational videos.
I haven’t visited New Farm so that’s what I’ll be doing later today after watching this film.
It was nice to see where you lived in West End too. 😊 We stayed near there in the Skyneedle building for our first month in Australia. Lune and Messina were around the corner!!

All of these 'burbs look good. If we could only choose one, Donna and I feel we would most like to walk around the streets of West End.
We see Australia has opened the borders to tourists. It is still too troublesome to get back into Canada after a trip... but that is one block removed for us to hopefully make our way to Brisbane to see Donna's sister and family.
Fingers crossed David and Donna 🤗 With the restrictions lifting, borders opening and Covid numbers decreasing here, it does feel like there’s a little optimism in the air ❤️ West End is awesome….so many great shops, cafes and restaurants there……and an easy walk to Southbank and the city.
Bulimba cinemas special thing about it you could have a hot meal while watching love it
Hi Robby 🤗 Yes! Isn’t it the best?! Our family has watched many movies there over the years and we love the ‘old world feel’ and the tickets are really reasonable too!
Newfarm was settled by British farmers, the ities, whom we love arrived in the sixties.
Hi Jen, thanks for watching our video 🤗 We read that at one stage it was Brisbane’s second major farm looked after by convicts from the Moreton Bay Penal Settlement. It certainly has so much history!

Hey @New Zealand Earthmover 😊 Good Question! Not really, we’re only 80 minutes away and the drive is enjoyable in the Tesla. We pop down regularly to spend time with our daughter and love spending time down there. But we really love coming home to the hinterland ☀️
@@BethandPaultravel ok that sounds fair enough. It is nice having a large section/ acreage with the space, peace and quiet :) We are hoping to get over this April/May for an extended holiday if the borders stay open that is. Cheers 🍻

Hi Craig, we love the proximity to the cbd, the Brisbane river and New Farm Park. It’s very convenient for people who live there as there’s plenty of buses, ferries, shops, cafes and restaurants. Some locals walk to work in the city via the Howard Smith Wharves boardwalk.
What about Upper mount gravetta? Is it a good suburb to live in?
Hi Subbanna 😊 Upper Mount Gravatt is only 11 kms from Brisbane CBD. It’s handy to the motorway and has great public transport links. It’s a good area for families because it has plenty of green spaces, parks, bikeways and a large Westfield Shopping Centre. It also has good quality schools and good access to the CBD (20 minutes), Airport (25 minutes) and the Gold Coast (40 minutes). We know people who live there and they ❤️ it!
