Please don't burn your boats before leaving Pakistan, especially if you own property in Pakistan. Pakistan's real estate market is not volatile like the Canadian market. Canadians are already getting frustrated with the current housing situation. So please keep that property because of the taxes you will pay in Pakistan. You can easily recover those by renting your property. I lived in North America all my life. A few years back, we decided to return to Pakistan and realized how naive we were. We never bought a property in Pakistan. If we had repurchased a property in Pakistan in the 2000s or late 90s, we could have been millionaires.

امریکا میں میرے گھر پر 2023 میں پراپرٹی ٹیکس ٪426 بڑھ گیا تھا۔ یہاں تو صرف FBR ہے، وہاں ریاست کا ٹیکس جدا ہے اور ہمارے تو شہر کا بھی ٪1 آمدنی ٹیکس تھا۔ جب بھی Walmart سے خریداری کرتا جو قیمت شیلف پر لکھی تھی رجسٹر پر زیادہ رنگ ہوتی تھی۔ وہ کہتے تھے کہ قیمتیں اتنی تیزی سے بڑھ رہی ہیں کہ وہ اتنی پھرتی سے شیلف پر نہیں بدل پاتے۔ وہاں ہر اشیاء خرید پر تقریبا ٪10 سیلز ٹیکس ہے۔ اب وہاں سے بھاگ کر کدھر جائیو گے بھیا؟
