    Amazing flying 👏🏻 Just finished mine. Can i just ask , how is the CG. Their marked it on the centre of the tube but with 5000 mah battery all the way to the front i’m still tail heavy. Thank you R

    Hi Rory. Very good flights, congratulations!
    Question! Which aircraft model do you prefer in the 67 "size, the Extra NG or the Slick?
    Greetings!

    How does it fly compared to the Laser 67? Nice flight 👍

    • @RoryRCTooley
      @RoryRCTooley  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are both extremely similar to be honest! The laser is a little more floaty and the NG more fast but not much in it 😀

      @jonhnyization 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hy rory, I own the 88 laser and 90 NG, personally I prefer the NG because it's more stable and less snappier. Does the 67" is the same?
      My local hobby store only have the slick and laser 67. So for the NG it's little more trouble

    • @RoryRCTooley
      @RoryRCTooley  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jonhnyization the 67" ng is more of a fast plane its not the best slowing down where as the 67 laser Is really floaty I would personally choose the slick having flown laser and ng

    Love the Dog 🐕...Did you have to put any mix on the elevator and Ailerons? I've got the Slick 67in and had small amount of mix on both elevator and Ailerons to achieve perfect knife edge...
    My slick had a weak motorbox Rory and needed strengthening, it actually broke mid flight doing a crankshaft..I used the fillets in the kit supplied for the petrol engine to beef it up.

      @RoryRCTooley  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David i never use any sort of mixes or gyros just a little expo. I also havvent had any issues with the motorbox but this is only my 2nd flight on the model i did hae to reinforce with the wood that comes with the kit on my laser 67

    Total weight with lipos?

  • @davidhall4398
    @davidhall4398 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question Rory I've just had my Dualsky Summit Light fail in flight and ended with plane written off...I noticed you use 2S lipo for powering servos. Do you prefer that way over say an external BEC?

    • @RoryRCTooley
      @RoryRCTooley  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David im very sorry to hear that i never trust the esc becs in any of my bigger electric planes i usually run a seperate bec soldered to the main battery input to to the esc connectors but i couldnt wait to fly the NG so i used a seperate batery and will probably leave it like that as i get 2 flights from a 2s 450mah. ive noticed you said summit 100 lite i dont have any experince with that one this is the one i use www.hobbyplastic.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=250_426_518&products_id=12500

      @@RoryRCTooley Thank you Rory for your quick reply...I felt like giving up the hobby today...yes I was thinking an external BEC would be far better and I actually have one in an extreme flight... I've just examined the circuit board on the ESC and definitely has burnt out contacts...if and when I decide to buy another 67in slick I'll definitely use a external BEC...do you recommend any? I just have a cheap 20A YEP which may transfer over.

    Do you know the weight of your model in flight trim? I am looking at this motor and esc for a 6kg warbird. Thanks.
