Hanging a big mirror on the back wall would increase the light and also make the space feel /look bigger. You can trift a nice one and paint the frame as you like.
I would make a way to hang dried herbs and flowers, as such. I'm sure you have some spare wood and twine! Then hang your herbs and flowers to dry! It would look so nice and then you can switch out when it is time to pack up the herbs for new ones. Also nice update to the space!! It looks bigger on the inside!!
Hang a simple but large and beautiful mirror on that blank space/back wall of your kitchen, it will make it brighter from the natural light coming in from your kitchen window and it will make your space look even bigger/ give more life to your entire area. Also you should consider putting up some natural hanging baskets with plants to add some green to your kitchen, would look really pretty and give your tiny house some life and natural color, green plants make such a difference inside and make your room pop especially when you have all white walls.
Always typical to take a hundred years to decide to get something done, get it done and realising that 1. it wasn't that bad after all! and 2. the end result was so much better than the dread of thinking about getting it done (and bothering you!). So yeah, I feel you there. You have done an amazing job from start to finish and it's great you can improve things as you go and as you learn what you like/need, etc. at each point. Bien hecho, chicos!
Brighter and beautiful😍✨ when you move to your final house... You should put this up as holiday rentals.... It will do you good and others too experiencing the goodness of nature
I have honestly waited SO LONG for this video!!!! FINALLY!!! 🥳🤩 There is nothing like white paint to open up space and rest the eye. A framed mirror placed horizontally against the far kitchen wall, possibly with a narrow shelf at its base, will bring in light, add dimension and an even greater sense of space. Placing a framed mirror over the couch will be like adding an entire room to your tiny house. The human eye “craves the perception of distance” in order to relax. A patterned self-adhesive wallpaper in the bathroom/water closet will, again, add dimension for the eye. It will ALSO protect the walls from water damage. You might want to put a peel + stick backsplash over the sink/stove area, also to protect the OSB and make the wall “washable”. Wishing you continued Happy Nesting. -V.
I love the idea of hanging a mirror. I also love the idea of shelving too. I’m sure additional storage is always needed. Love the upgrades. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, everything looks fresh, clean and beautiful. I suggest you take your time deciding about the shelf and what you will put on it. The answer will come to you as you work in your kitchen. Good job, Eugenia!
Ikea has glass shelves with small, discrete hardware that make the shelf appear to float. I painted jars with deep shades of green and blue and filled them with spices. On the glass shelves, the painted jars appear to float, and the color also protects the herbs from sunlight. They would look lovely on your back wall and free up storage space to have your spices become an artful part of the kitchen.
Ohhhhh Eugenia. The tiny house space looks so fresh , light and uplifting ……like a breath of fresh air! I’m so glad that you finally got to do that. It’s hard for me to tell you exactly what to put in that space in the kitchen. Sometimes ,myself when I can’t figure out what to do with a space I just wait for a bit….until I see what the space really needs… do you want something functional or something decorative? That would be the first question I’d be trying to figure out …then you could go from there. Does that make sense?? Good luck!
I always wondered why you left the OSB unpainted in the kitchen but grew to like it. Now it looks more finished and spacious. I think hanging some of your beautiful kitchen things on the back wall would look great.
Can't believe it's been 3 years. Love the renovation, it's amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do. I think there's a point we reach in building that we need to take a break and come back later with fresh eyes and energy, but I know that feeling of...why didn't we just do this before. I painted my place 3 years ago and still need to paint the trim 😏 Lolita looks great!
Love the revamp.. light and bright.. to lighten your mood. This would be an amazing airbnb when you move out bringing some extra income and help others to experience a bit of this lifestyle.
You always create so much beauty in everything you do. Honestly, you are my biggest source of inspiration for simplicity, beauty, flowers and gardens, just everything lovely. I love how your cabin turned out! I imagine it feels like being in a whole new space. XO
The renovation looks great! I can't belive how much difference a lick of white paint can make and I love the contrast with the dark aesthetic of the kitchen cabinets and countertop.
A shelving unit would look nice. There are some really modern designs on ikea that would fit your aesthetic in the cabin. Also the white really brightens up the cabin and makes it look bigger. You and Pepe always do such great work and are really good team together
It looks incredible!! I think a shelf on the left of the wall with the ability to hang some of your beautiful pots and pans or a knife set. A full length mirror on the right would really open the space up and look stunning i think.
You have really freshened up your tiny house. I think a shelf with a mirror sitting propped up on it plus an indoor plant and seasonal finds such as wild flowers from nature or ripening vegetables and fruit from the food forest and the vegetable garden. So well done Eugenia as always.
Mirror would be so beautiful! And makes sense to bounce more light around and give illusion of more depth. Maybe you can also put a little minimal shelf with under hooks under the mirror for handing kitchen things :) It all looks so beautiful!
Loving the new fresh coat of paint. Always makes a small space seem larger. Personally I would use the area above the stove to place corner shelves. So you can put your utensils in jars. But also a small section for spices. Next to the shelves I would consider either a mirror or some herbs to dry. Gives the kitchen a nice smell also. A couple of plants on the shelves would be good as well. They provide oxygen and colour to the space. Your home is lovely. ❤
❤❤❤ I would totally love to vacation there! 😊We have been in this home 20 years and only this year did we rebuild 2 indoor staircases, painted 5 rooms and repainted the deck. I love how everything looks - yes, I did buttercream white to my sunroom walls after years of red/orange/copper walls. So bright!
Everything looks lovely! My suggestion is a thick wooden shelf going along the wall with tiny hooks hanging underneath to hang your ceramic coffee cups, or kitchen gadgets. ❤
Dear Eugenia, WOW 🎉 what an amazing job! The cabin looks twice the size….lighter and airier. I would either hang a large mirror to reflect the outside in….and the cabin will look twice the size. Or you could hang a beautiful, large painting with autumn reds/golds - it would make the space really pop xx Francesca
Interesting. When I saw the room tour for the first time, I didn't think it was unfinished. I really liked this look. I really thought that should. It had character. But now that it is finished, it looks chick, very clean and actually like many other rooms in the Chicki Micki Look. It is of course important that you like it.
It looks so good all white! So much more light! I always wondered why you didn't paint that bit 😀 I added two small plywood shelves with hanging plants in my white kitchen, and it made such a difference! I just cut them to measure and got some cute brackets. I think shelves will look great here, too! Or a mirror as well! Or both!
Fantastic transformation! Congrats 🎊 I think dividing the back kitchen wall with floating shelves by the stove area and a beautiful mirror with a tiny wall sconce would look amazing 🤩
Felicitaciones.
If you have any, hang some wooden cutting boards and dried eucalyptus right there. That’s one of my favorite kitchen decor things and it’s functional too!
Wow I can’t believe so much time has passed….only yesterday I was watching you build this beautiful space. It looks amazing. I just LOVED Pepe’s reaction ❤❤
Hihi, I was really happy to see you used the TopOil because I'm a true fan of Osmo products. I do have to say that I now have experience with three thin layers of it on my kitchen countertops and unfortunately it wasn't enough. After two or so years it had too much wear to it so I removed all the old finish and did it all over again. This time I used roller and didn't wipe off "the excess". I also put on more coats (for example I put 6 proper coats on the kitchen sink area because this looked the worst) and now it's looking like it will hold up much better. So I do have to argue with the manufacturer's guide to put on thin layers and wipe of the excess because the roller and proper coats work the best. 🤭
I must feel wonderful and it looks so nice. I loved it before and always thought that it was a brilliant way to frame your shots as if you in were a modern day Vermeer painting…
Looks beautiful Eugenia ! I’m a big fan of a clean white esthetic myself, & the instant ( almost ) gratification it gives after the hard work! I agree with some other viewers that a mirror to reflect light or a mix of a green wall & mirrors between would be both beautiful & practical! You could grow fresh herbs indoors to cut and cook during the cold months!
Great job! White is so classic. It makes for a cleaner, fresher and spatially enhancing an interior. I don’t understand the choice of OSB. Here in the states the commonly sold OSB is highly toxic.
SO Beautiful, Eugenia! Yes, I would add something simple to the back wall...since you are a gardener, either a botanical print/piece of art, or a simple shelf with a trailing houseplant. Love the paint!
What a great video! Pepe’s reaction to the paint job was awesome. A mirror would be one good idea for that kitchen wall or some type of food based art piece could work as well. Fantastic job Eugenia ❤❤
Eugenia I love the idea of a shelf - I can picture a few beautiful pieces of pottery in soft earthy tones i.e. a small jug, a couple of chunky bowls and mugs etc. Lovely result from your efforts ❤
I enjoyed watching this renovation so much. As a huge fan of white, I so appreciate your new cabin look and feel! Congrats on finally taking the time to do this!
The back wall, the mirror won’t work considering filming and anything too eye catching will be distracting. Maybe a piece of artwork ( modern) put together by combining painted shapes of boards or cardboard ( but all different shades of white or subtle neutral colors with a thin wooden boxed 2cm-3cm thick frame ? OMGOSH! You Rock and did an amazing redo...(I agree I must redo every two to three years)The kitchen back wall may use some "clear" protection by the stove as things splat and pop occasionally. Whatever you decide I know it will be aWeSOME!! 🎊🎉
@eugeniadiaz love the white. I always go for white in my decorations. For the kitchen wall some floating shelves with hooks or a mirror with hooks it will reflect a lot of light back into the space. Love you guys enjoy❤❤❤
Eugenia ❤ It looks amazing what you did wow wow wow I think that a mirror would look amazing there. It would definitely give the room a bit more light and depth too. I would put it horizontally. Also remember that if you put a shelf you’ll have to account for the toilet door. Perhaps a shelf under the mirror could look very nice… but not too sure about the shelf tbh. Again a very good idea to have painted the kitchen and the lounge area xx

I’ve thought of that many times and a macrame piece to the left of the shelf.
Yep…I agree…the mirror is a great idea….
Mirror is a great idea… IF you’re not filming and it would show all the film equipment set up 😂
@@ArianaSarahaFlightBehavior true!!
Agree. You will be amazed when the doors are open what great pleasure a huge mirror will give you
I think a mirror to bring in the light, but also because the reflection scenery is so beautiful it would also look like art!
Agreed. As she did I felt something is missing. A long vertical mirror would be great.
I love open shelves with beautiful glass jars with dry food inside
I would make a way to hang dried herbs and flowers, as such. I'm sure you have some spare wood and twine! Then hang your herbs and flowers to dry! One of two of our cats likes to drink from running water. We bought him a stainless steel kitty fountain. He loves it!

I would add a jungle mural at the rear kitchen wall. That would fit the plants inside and outside.
I have honestly waited SO LONG for this video!!!! FINALLY!!! 🥳🤩 There is nothing like white paint to open up space and rest the eye. Yes, a mirror the same shape & size as the window, set at the same height . Will bring more light into the whole area.
Wow, everything looks fresh, clean and beautiful. I suggest you take your time deciding about the shelf and what you will put on it. The answer will come to you as you work in your kitchen. Good job, Eugenia!

I liked the wood panels... but your choice of course this is more classic

Leave it as is, white. A mirror on that back wall can be tricky when filming. Nice work!
A trick for a fuller look of cusions is to use inserts 1 size bigger than the cusion covers :)
A simple shelf hung with two leather straps. A small climbing plant on top. That would certainly look great and a little green never hurts. 😊💚

😍😍 that back wall...can I paint you something??? No matter what I'm excited to see what you place there. It looks stunning 😍
Mirror would be so beautiful! And makes sense to bounce more light around and give illusion of more depth. Maybe you can also put a little minimal shelf with under hooks under the mirror for handing kitchen things :) It all looks so beautiful!
Maybe a shelf with a mirror on top. But definitely a shelf to add some kitchen things/spices for storage.
Maybe a large thing sculptural branch, hanging horizontally.
The paint looks maravillosa !
Loving the new fresh coat of paint. Always makes a small space seem larger. Personally I would use the area above the stove to place corner shelves. So you can put your utensils in jars. you should put peel and stick tile in the kitchen. cheap and looks good protects wall from splashes

But now that it is finished, it looks chick, very clean and actually like many other rooms in the Chicki Micki Look. It is of course important that you like it.
I think floating shelf’s wood be nice for displaying some of your favorite kitchen tools👍
Looks great! I like the idea of hanging vintage cutting boards. They have a minimal look, yet still functional.
For the wall near the oven, you should hang or dry your herbs/flowers. Loved the video
Hi Eugenia, I think a mirror with a wooden contour (like flooded wood) would look nice or an horizontal photo of a landscape that you guys love
I think a mirror- it will contrast great with the wall and open the space even more- with bringing in more light❤
Awww, I love the plywood look. You inspired me to create a barn yard door from it for my office. It looks great.
I like the minimalist look of the back wall; unless you find some nice artwork.
Or both!
It looks beautiful! I would mirror the entire back wall, it would bring in more light and visually enlarge the space.
Agree!
Fantastic transformation! Congrats 🎊
I think dividing the back kitchen wall with floating shelves by the stove area and a beautiful mirror with a tiny wall sconce would look amazing 🤩
Mirror, of course! 😃 (Or a painting. Or a shelf. Anything you'll do will be aesthetically pleasing :)
That looks really good! Well done. Maybe a picture frame would look nice on the back wall. And a little shelf with hanging plants or herbs.
Felicitaciones.
I'm glad to see the walls painted.
Use the space for hanging herbs and flowers to dry
A live edge wood shelf from a local sawmill would look nice.
If you have any, hang some wooden cutting boards and dried eucalyptus right there. That’s one of my favorite kitchen decor things and it’s functional too!
I see a smell spice shelf for the spices you use all the time… that would be nice
I would make a line with flowers or herbs to dry on the back wall ;)
Wow I can’t believe so much time has passed….only yesterday I was watching you build this beautiful space. It looks amazing. I just LOVED Pepe’s reaction ❤❤
You did a beautiful job ! Maybe a mirror would be nice on the back wall in the kitchen ?
Wow!! Love how the Cabin turned out, you did an amazing job! 👏❤

it looks like a whole new space now! Nice job, its BEAUTIFUL!!
Looks sooooo good....I would suggest a Mirror as it will reflect even more light...
I’d maybe add a macrame shelf with some aromatic herbs to use in the kitchen
Looks beautiful Eugenia ! I’m a big fan of a clean white esthetic myself, & the instant ( almost ) gratification it gives after the hard work!
I agree with some other viewers that a mirror to reflect light or a mix of a green wall & mirrors between would be both beautiful & practical! You could grow fresh herbs indoors to cut and cook during the cold months!

I would love it if you made a video of all the things you had/have in your home.
Great work, it looks amazing. Maybe a 'Macrame plant hanger' from the ceiling with a trailing green plant.... for your kitchen wall area. 👍
I’m so inspired by your tiny home! I’ll soon have my Day 1.
Wow! I love the white! I always wondered why you didn’t paint the wood ;)
Very good work,Eugenia.
The kitchen area is so bright now and I would suggest you to put nice shelves for all your lovely glass tins.❤
Looks amazing ❤ I would hand driftwood horizontal and hang dry flowers on it or herbs ❤
I feel you don’t need anything too eye catching is my point. Subtle is good. Or else I feel keep it white w/ nothing on it.
By the way, I enjoyed the unpainted wood before since it gave texture and visual interest and it was cost$$ efficient at that time, but I love the white too now 🤍
It’s looks good. Really like the new cushion covers and throws as well. I’d like to know which make of paint you used, and where you bought the new cushion covers.
Hola linda!!
I will put a frame, dark illustration in the colors of your cabin, to create an interest and à pop of color without adding volume to this small space. Really beautiful your update!
Wonderful job!! Everything looks bright, new, and spacious!!! Absolutely Beautiful!! ~~ I would put a colorful framed poster/picture on the back kitchen wall, if possible.
I love the refresh! Y’all always outdo yourselves. Abrazos desde Texas! ❤
I love it!! I vote for a mirror on the back wall 💚
OMGOSH! You Rock and did an amazing redo...(I agree I must redo every two to three years)The kitchen back wall may use some "clear" protection by the stove as things splat and pop occasionally. Whatever you decide I know it will be aWeSOME!! 🎊🎉
You did a lovely job on the painting. I love the white and your new cushions and covers are nice on your sofa. Wonderful
I loved this vlog so much Eugenia! The cabin looks amazing! I think a mirror would be so cool in the kitchen and would reflect more light too!
Wow! It looks so bright now 🙂 The flowers you bring in will pop even more now 🧡
👏👏👏 soo beautiful! And inspiring. My daughter of 6 years old and I, look forward to watch your progress and thriving. Life Well done !! 💖👏👏👏
@eugeniadiaz love the white. I always go for white in my decorations. For the kitchen wall some floating shelves with hooks or a mirror with hooks it will reflect a lot of light back into the space. Love you guys enjoy❤❤❤
It looks so gorgeous Eugenia!! Makes the space look so much brighter!

Yes Eugenia, a mirror will give more space, and you can clean it easily. Congratulations for the big job you did. Lots of love from France.
