Thank you so much. This video is very insightful into the Big 4.
Thank you so much for this video. Expecting a Big 4 offer (got the verbal confirmation phone call), and am debating leaving my current job for a consulting role and these videos are gold from an insight perspective
Glad it was helpful! Good luck for the offer!
It is also noteworthy to mention the Big4 staff levels that are mentioned, this is mainly specific to the US. You also have senior manager positions in the Big4 in other parts of the world outside of the US. In the US the director level is more of a calendar promotion and not as a junior partner in other parts of the world. Being promoted to partner in like Europe is more typical at the age of 37 to 40 years. So important to manage it differs across the various global member firm locations. Great video for junior Big4 staff levels.
Yeah this process is also specific to Australia and New Zealand. Note this is for risk consulting/internal audit and not just audit which I think you might be talking about. I know for audit there are senior associates etc as well.
I recently accepted a full time offer from one of the big four firms in the US. Will be working in assurance line of service as an associate. Your vids are very helpful!!
Best of luck and congrats for your offer! Hope you enjoy your time there! :)
@@successbysanjna Thank you!

I even started some additional online courses outside the uni to get better understanding of some stuff that was not covered during classes 😍 and of course I'm sending my CVs so maybe even in this difficult times I'll be able to find some part time job in finance 😌 if not I'll have to hussle in June/July after graduation 🙈

Did you consider to make video on work life balance, mental health especially in these times? would be helpful and appreciated
I have actually already created many videos on time management, be sure to check out my "vlog" playlist :)
it should be called a life work balance
Hi Sanjna, I’ve been accepted for the PWC program. Your video and talks were very helpful, thank you so much again.😄😄btw, the program is for trust and assurance, you are very inspirational for me.
Oh congrats Naz - so glad to hear that! It's been my absolute pleasure 😊 Wishing you all the best for your career ahead!
Thank you for sharing~ This is helpful~ I’m going to take my last few ACCA exams soon and I hope to know more about working as an accountant and working in Big 4.
Hi Jade, best of luck for your exams.
Hi Sneha, I'm perusing my Acca and bcom and wil be staring my job at KPMG this coming July.
You can do ACCA directly after 12th grade but I recommend doing it along with a bachelor's degree.
Hi guys. I am an ACCA Finalist about to write my final paper. I would definitely recommend doing ACCA. Along with the professional qualification, you can get a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University UK. Good luck. 👌
Glad it was helpful! Good luck!
Super Useful
I left big 4 after 11 months experience immediately after being promoted to experienced associate. I have joined Aramco. And I am not sure if I made the right decision or no
You have. At future designation, you get lot of stress from client in big 4
do you know what someone can do after technology risk consulting? would you be restricted to tech risk in industry
Not necessarily, there are so many avenues that one can go through - most jobs in the consulting/advisory can be mixed and match. Many of the skills are transferrable.
yes
Hi Sanjna, really want to thank you for making such informative videos. Tbh, my career is pretty much paused at the moment due to the current situation. But I’m hoping things will get better soon and I’ll get to apply all wonderful information I have learned from you :)
You are very welcome Mehak! I really hope things go back to normal for everyone's sake! Wishing you all the best for your future! xx
Super informative video! Any advice on how to get that early promotion specifically at KPMG?
Thank you! I have actually done a video on this. Please refer to my video "how to get promoted faster": th-cam.com/video/xG-u1ZiG-Ug/w-d-xo.html :)
Hi Sanjana. Thanks for doing this video. I am sort of planning a move after 2 years to Canada. At the moment I am working as an external auditor at a Big 10 firm (their main head office is situated in London, UK) and completed my first audit season and about to start the second season and have about 1 year of experience. By the time I move, I will have 3 years of experience, so will I be able to transit to consultancy or banking? I am currently working on a big leasing/financing company and this client will be allocated to me throughout the entire period of 3 years.
Hi Tasbiha! I think that having 3 years of experience under your belt puts you in a good position to obtain great opportunities elsewhere and definitely in consulting. I suggest looking at applying once you have reached the 2-2.5year mark and see how you go with the opportunities.
Hi Sanjana just wanted to know what kind of qualification do you have?
I got recruited in KPMG lighthouse north as a IT analyst. Still not sure what I will be doing ? You have any idea?
oooh congrats! I believe it is the innovation team, but not entirely sure. This team is usually responsible for AI, intelligence and technology type work. A few things I found just from researching is Data strategy and analytics maturity assessment, Information management, Data engineering, Data warehousing, business intelligence (BI) and data visualisation, Data science, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) and Cloud-based analytics services. Hope that helps! :)
@@successbysanjna ooh dang. That sounds ... Like a lot of work I have definitely done ! I guess they will teach me (I was a campus recruit )
Still very excited to start working starting from Jan 4th, just a bit worried about my work life balance.
@@shouryacool Hello, I hope you're doing good with your job I am actually interested in the same role but confused. Would you give me some information about your experience ?
@@bcmamira9599 learn python SQL and machine learning and enhance your communication skills and you're good to go
@@shouryacool Thank you I appreciate your feedback
Hey Sanjna, do you it's possible to move from like big4 in Asia to big4s in countries like Australia?
Yes offcourse! You would need to look into the mobility scheme and see how that works :)
What do you mean by a mobility scheme?
Such a useful video :) x
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Sanjna , I am recently recruited as a Business Risk Consultant at EY.
Your video was very helpful to know day to day activities in Risk Management.
Can you plz guide on what to prepare or learn before joining the role? Some impt skills/software which will be required?
Honestly it is all learning on the job. The fact that you have been accepted means the organisation has accepted your currency skills and will train you further. All I can recommend is being up to date with the news and perhaps learning a bit of excel :) Good luck!
Hey Sanjna
Have you considered making a video about what goals Graduates should have e.g ( Career Progression vs learning opportunities vs money)
Great idea! I'll have a look into it
Hi Sanjna. Great work. I have a query, I have dropped out of my CA and I hold experience in Transfer Pricing at KPMG. Do you know what alll exit opportunities are available?
I would suggest speaking to someone who has left transfer pricing and ask them about the opportunities available. I can only provide examples for risk/audit sorry.
Does having the enrolled agent certificate help in getting the job?
I'm assuming this means you are starting a post graduate degree and using that to potentially apply? I'm not entirely sure. I suggest just applying and trying your luck! :)
Can you answer what does consultants do at Big4?
I have done a video on this - please check my big 4 playlist :)
How approach big 4 off campus?
sorry what do you mean Mahesh?
Referrals. Network, get referred. It's the only way.
Hi Sanjna, could you stop clapping on videos? It’s really annoying, especially on headphones.
oh lol hahah I didn't realise it was loud!
