Lisa and Jisoo shocked me! Lisa has grown tremendously. Jisoo singing in her higher register and falsetto blew me away. I didn't even know it was her, I had to check the line distribution.
Certainly. I'm sure Lisa has been working hard to improve, as she always does. I do believe though that she's had a lot of this ability all along. It was just never showcased before. There have been hints of it when she sings powerfully and in her lower (not cute) voice in Kiss and Make Up. And her ability to softly express the meaning of the lyrics with perfect emotional pitch was evident in her first and last parts in You Never Know. They weren't flashy and belting parts, but they were deeply moving in the way she sang the words, like "I've heard enough of the things that I'm not". Her voice has shown a lot of power too in several other songs.
@@TEAM__POSEID0N I think now she sounds better than ever, as she should. After touring and performing 40.shows she is going to sound even better than now. The more you practice the better you’ll become. She also had a vocal coach. I agree, you could her ability to sing with a lovely tone. The coach taught her vocal techniques to help her voice flourish into what we hear now.

The Blackpink members once said that Lisa is very talented and it's hard to compare with her. Even the president had praised Lisa for being great, her trainers, dancers, or anyone who had worked with her said she was great. only YG I don't want her to stand out too much.
@@khanthimasongtalad5647 I agree! However, I'm not aware of the criteria to get an A as a trainee singer. I'm just merely saying she sounds tremendously better since the debut. You mentioned YG didn't want her to outshine the group. Personally, I don't think Lisa would have done that. She was/is more of a team player and definitely not selfish. The reason she formed Lili Films was so she could showcase her talent without outshining her members.

They are expressing different types of pain in my opinion. Like for me:
Lisa and Jisoo are the ones who are questioning “Why” “How did all this happened?” Typa pain
and then as for Jennie, she’s the one who’s silently weeping blaming herself how things ended
For Rosé (Ref to the last chorus where she sang in a much stronger emotion), she’s like the one who’s screaming in pain os sumthing

Lisa's voice is a revelation for me in this album. I've known she has a great voice since she covered LOVE..and ive been wanting her to sing in her lower register but they never gave her the opportunity. I'm so glad this song is in the album and finally showcased what her real vocal tone is.

Ofc, everyone slayed, this album is one of the best, it's a no skip fvckin amazing album. But as I've said, for me, this era is just 🔥 for Lisa and Jisoo. Jennie and Rosé did great as always.

My favorite part when Jisoo singing the falsetto part and Lisa came after it’s so perfect..The two different textures of their voices goes together..
They all sound so good. Lisoo impressed me the most b/c their vocals are different than what we usually hear from them. This is what a huge difference in producers do. This proves Teddy's sound is holding back BP as a whole of their talents.
Blinks are so ungrateful. Without Teddy, Blackpink would be literal nobodies.

Quit hatin and enjoy the music. Teddy helped get them to where they are.
He is still the producer, he has a final say about everything. At least this time he let other people participate, thinking "at least" it's a huge milestone for him. That's sad. Other groups are allowed to work with different lyricists and as well change music producers. If Teddy doesn't want to let go his position as BP's music producer...OK but I hope he takes more songs from different lyricists and as well giving credits to BP's members.
True also teddy didn't work on this song. And I thank God cuz teddy cannot make songs aside from hiphop.

Jisoo - a beautiful falsetto that embodies lyrics that are truly essential to the message of the song - self neglect and the stage of denial within the 5 stages or grief.
Jennie - a dark and rich tone that conveys a bitter and fragile woman who has been in this situation many times and suffered through this pain many times.
Rosé - a high pitched, sensitive tone that portrays grief itself. Her voice is so fragile and truly embodies every single word that she's singing.
Lisa - Her innocent tone portrays a starry-eyed lover who got broken up with. Her lyrics are one of the most heartwrenching ones. And Lisa embodied them beautifully.

I don't know much about singing techniques but I can feel every emotion that Lisa brings out in the song. I mean every song on this album her attitude changes with the vibe of the song. And in this song I can really feel her pain deep inside. In this album, Jisoo and Lisa's vocals are outstanding. Both have been the group's hidden voices for too long, now is the time for both to shine.

I had the same reaction when I first listened to the song. Lisa’s and jisoo’s vocals touched my soul I’m so glad they got the opportunity to shine. Lisa's vocals were definetly the biggest revelation of the album, just as u said, it’s not normal from yg to let her show her beautiful voice but she used to get straight As on trainee evaluations wich includes singing. I'm very happy that she got to work with a producer that gave her the opportunity and encoruged her to show her voice, i'm hoping she can showcase her impressive vocals more often from now.
