I just installed my rapidfire with the help of your excellent video. Thank you. After trying it on three quads flying outside with me inside and two walls and many trees between it's a vast improvement. I'm using the spironet patch with a foxeer lollipop. Most of the old vtx fade spots are completely gone. Even behind a large metal shop I get crystal. The quads that have had omni antenna retrofit (lollipop 3, Lumineer sigma tiny) are breathtaking. Even the dipole vastly improved. If you can afford it, buy it. If you can't, put it on credit you won't regret it! (get it?) or borrow the money! You've done way worse and your wife forgave you. Mine did! So worth it.

But when I install the rapidFire (without the powerBoard) my Fathark show me, that I have enough power. It shows 5 V. Why is that so? So now, I don`t to have to do to install the powerboard? I`m comfused
Thank you for this video. Noting the low power indicator in the about menu helped. The manual says there should be a voltage indicator in the lower left of the menu, but apparently not.
@@KremerFPV Wow! Now, I only have 47 minutes of flight time on my new Rapidfire, but my opinion is that it is a 30% improvement over my previous setup. The feeling I get is 100%...! I can see clearly in places I normally wouldn't.. I'm happy with that purchase so far..
Hi Gal, I have fatshark hdo2 and this rapidfire module, it works nice but something's bothering me, sorry if these might be 2 naabcake questions: 1. Is there a way either on the fatshark hdo2 goggles or on the rapidfire module button to autoscan all bands and channels until it finds the one your vtx is sending on? I can do that on the cheap eachine goggles without having to remove the goggles... 2. With the goggles on I can use the fatshark ch +or- buttons to change channel but not bands, is there a button combination to do so without having to remove the goggles and look at the rapidfire module? THE official website no longer has previous versions available. Possibly you may have v1.2.8 or v1.2.9.......or lower. The latest versions do not show the full signal bar of the patch antenna and it works horribly......thank you and I hope you can help me.

Thanks! The L band is a lower section of the 5.8GHZ band. It's not legal in most of the countries as far as I know and most of the VTXs do not support it (including the TrampHV).

I am making a new comparison stand using a couple of LCD screens. Using DVR is not a reliable way of comparing RXs. It will take another two weeks for all the needed parts to arrive and then I will post more videos.
@@KremerFPV I have the dji v2 goggles with the rapidfire module. My antennas were 2 RHCP x air 5.8 patch antennas. I bought a Ethix Madmushroom v2 5.8 that came in today but haven't tried it out yet. So I have 2 drones atm the tiny hawk freestyle 2 which I haven't touched the vtx bands and channel settings from default and the rapidfire auto detects it. On the mobula 6hd the manual said to set the vtx band and channel through betaflight. So I change it to vtx band 3 channel 1 through betaflight like it says to in the 1 page manual. But, when I go to that channel on rapid fire I get only a whitenoise screen. And different random channels show the screen but when I fly a like 2 or 3 feet the screen turn to white noise. Some of channels are like this but some let me fly longer, but its totally random. Like I turn off the goggles and turn it back on and it would be the whitenoise screen when I had video right before I turned off the googles.
For the mobula 6 HD all the channels are random and never the same. Half the time when I scan for a signal there is no signal even when the drone is on.
@@hurricanezaza I wouldn't trust the VRX auto detection. Always make sure that the VTX and VRX are set to the exact frequency. Sometimes certain frequencies are blocked by the VTX, so I suggest using a different frequency (5740 for example) and see if it's working for you.
I'm confused. Did you say use low dbi for long range? Everything I have ever heard or read says that you need high gain to stretch the signal out as far as possible like Pagoda's and 10dbi patch antennas. Did I miss something???
Hi i just bought a new rapidfire and it says no Low power without doing the mod. I just plug in the rapidfire Modul. Do i have to mod it or is the low power mistake history? Best regards Marc
I just got the Rapidfire and I'm having some issues with it when I have it on legacy mode the signal works pretty well but when I put on Rapidfire the signal is worse the color is changed and when I'm flying it keeps changing the color and makes beep sound also sometimes the line on the top goes away is that normal I'm flying with a tiny Hawk doesn't make sense paying for it and not being able to use it

Which camera did you use? When I change from #2 to #1 I get a flicker on the screen with all my different cameras, including a predator

Hi Marc, the mod is needed only for older goggles Probably you the HDO or the HDO2 where the mod is not needed.

It probably doesn't agree with the VTX/Camera combination of the TinyHawk. Did you update your RF to the latest version?
