I do agree with your points about the Skill being quite mid. It sucks when you have to shuffle back a critical combo extender/interruption on Turn 1 and you’re just left with Cavalry or Paladin. But props for giving the deck a try and giving it a proper analysis!
I think the worst part about this skill was the soul crushing realization it wasn't a Buster Blader skill it was just another Dark Magician deck... and not even a great one, just one meant to recreate the Battle City semi finals.
@@mekklord I have a lot of nostalgia for Paladin as I pulled one back in the day as a kid and love that scene in the anime... But I think it says a lot about how the card game ran SO far ahead with Buster Blader lore that having a skill play into that lore ala Legend of the Heroes would go over great. Not because it's a Yugi deck but just a series of cards that tell a compelling story
Hopefully they'll change the Bane of Darkness skill to let you play the Buster Blader support to its fullest. I was looking forward to using this skill until after I finished up pulling through the pickup box only to find out it was pretty much useless if you don't have DM support also (which I don't).
2 Dark Magical Circles is still pretty powerful. I feel like Magician players either know how to play their deck or just collapse when their main play is interrupted
How is it that the most iconic card in all of Yu-Gi-Oh besides Blue-Eyes had to get a deck with the lamest playstyle of all time? One which a dozen Skills have tried to fix, but never made it anywhere near BE's level.

no worries, thanks for coming up with this version of the deck!

EXACTLY, konami really underestimates how many people care about Dark Paladin
