welcome, Ian! from South Texas, USA......another "Lot Head"........where are you from? you are joining a very special group of people the likes of Ben Danny and Sam, and you certainly belong!
Incredible find! So excited for you guys - can't wait to see them as well. It has been such a pleasure to follow you, B. Ben & Sam on your adventures with the Lot. And welcome, Ian!!
Sam! never got to address you before- but thank you so much for your Minority Contribution and your great scholarship on our favorite subject! Much respect- Lewis
That's one of nicest statements I've heard in quite a while...thank you very much... Not only Danny and Ben makes this incredibly enjoyable but they're also my long lost brothers. Their friendship is unbreakable and I continually remind them how much joy they've given me. Thanks so much again and you take good care Lewis
Really cool that Ian is part of your group. I feel like he will be able to put a lot on the table along with you guys! Love this unboxing and hoping there's something good in the tapes you found.
Can’t wait to see what’s on them. I remember coming across Ian website along time ago me and my late brother planned to visit Ferndale from the UK sadly he passed away in 2013 and I remember telling my brother things that I learnt about the filming locations thanks to Ian’s website. My brother loved it, it was him that got me into Salems Lot, he was born in 71 and me in 86 so he got to see it sooner than me. My one bit of claim to fame though well not really me but James Mason held my sister when she was a baby back in 1975, my nan chased him down for his autograph at Longleat lol
watching that unveiling by Sam the cassette itself reminds me of a rare machine we had in high school 1974? 5? 6? that could play back broacasts of our high school marching band performance the machine was giant about 3-4 feet across with a tape similar to that (hard to remember I'm 67 now) I see you taking out, and it would slowly pop up from the machine with an old top loading VHS like mechanism, Maybe Sony? wow wow wow
Yeah, that sounds pretty much a close match to what you're describing. I had to go on TH-cam and see how that process actually works. Intriguing! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your time, Ian. Good to see the Salem's Lot Minority together again. It makes me smile. Wow, Sam. You have some gems. Please follow up with us about the tapes. Is this video shooting of the making of the movie? Am I understanding correctly?
I absolutely will! I think we all assume it's just the rough draft of the film to present to Warner Brothers back in the day. But who knows?? We have to find out😁😁
oh wow Dr Danny!Ben! Sam! and welcoming Ian! this could be "really nice" as Boom Boom Bonnie describes Eva Miller's bording house across the street........
Thanks for this! Cannot wait to see what is truly on these tapes. Will you be planning another Ferndale trip soon? I missed it last year but would like to attend!
Hi Teresa! Thanks so much for watching and we'll keep everyone posted about what's on these tapes once they're transferred. My wife and I are hoping to make it the end of September or towards the beginning of October. We'll let you know! Take good care.
Hey there! My wife and I just dropped off the tapes to a restoration outfit here in Portland OR. The gentleman that's conducting this process has to put the tapes through a dehydrator to keep them from possibly breaking or splitting because after a while like VHS tapes, they lose their lubricant and can brittle after time. It should take roughly a week and then when I get them back and proof them, then we'll do a video.... keeping fingers, eyes and toes 🤞
Very cool!
Thanks Mara and hope you're doing well! Good to hear from you😊
Godspeed!! ❤🎉
You as well.
Delighted to be a part of this going forward. Thanks guys...
Absolutely and a huge thank you!

Sam is amazing and has worked so hard to make this happen.
I started giggling when you mentioned Fireman's Park. "I was following you." "No, we were following YOU!" 😂

We all had an amazing time with out SL group out there. We made so many memories.

@StaciPS Ha! It's very much the equivalent of Christmas Eve leading into Christmas morning for all of us!

Ufff, some of the cut Barlow scenes¿¿??......pffffffffffffffffffff!!!!
Brenner was the cinematographer, NOT a vidographer.
I said he was the cinematographer / director of photography. I said it very clearly
