And even though my skillset is limited, I can see the game changing for me everytime I step up to the table and each video of yours I review. 2ndly, my biggest cons seem to be breaking bad habits. Losing when my mind is not right, i.e just a bad day or things of that nature, not true mental wellness challenges, can send me off the path, and I become impatient and reckless. 2ndly I lose my confidence to keep going when the strategy starts working, instead of playing like one continously hand, I take my wins when I'm up a game or 3 and walk away only to go to a different table and reset. Just wanted to share. I'll keep working at it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
14:38 when you're talking about taking insurance if it was a 3 you aid if it was you would taken insurance. The running count would of been 3, but you wouldn't take insurance yet. Only take it when it's a True 3.
14:21 - 159 cards in discard (I counted) = 3 decks left. Your DE needs work 16:13 - 179 cards in discard, 182 is 3.5, your RC was 10, meaning your divisor should’ve been 2.5. 10/2.5=4 17:16 - 15 v dealer 9 at a TC2 or higher is a surrender deviation for both H17 & S17. You hit it

I think this is good practice, if you can keep the running count solid while announcing the game, it simulates the distractions of like other players at the table asking you if they should hit their 12 against dealer 4, things like that. If you just sit there and never talk to anyone, and keep a close eye on the discard tray it makes you look too much like a card counter.
Great video as always, thanks for making all this practice content. This betspread seems nice probably around $100 an hour right? Assuming good rounds per hour and penetration. What is the bankroll amount for this betspread for under 1 or 2% risk of ruin?

Is this the BJA method, or is something that you choose to do? Do you ever choose to do 1 hand with your max bet vs splitting it over two hands?
Good question. BJA doesn't have a set way they teach, necessarily. There are advantages and disadvantages to splitting to two hands. The numbers are interesting to look at. Some place make you stay with one hand the whole time, or two hands if you start with 2. So, in short, it is my decision, but the EV is around $88 with thus bet spread, I believe.

What I am currently needing training on is bet spreads and number of hands to play and when and how that correlates to bet spreads. I find myself getting burned in high counts a lot. I play two hands and lose them both. Or I play two hands and break even (win 1 / lose 1). It could be just the variance, but lately I’ve gone big on the high counts and it has cost me, thus I play catch up for a while, or lower my bet spread, effectively lowering my EV. If you do decide to make a video getting into the weeds on 1 hand vs 2 hands, I’ll be very excited to see it.
I would like to make you think a little bit differently when you were in a negative count and the dealer had an Ace and you said you don't take insurance on a negative count which theoretically I would agree with because you have more low cards but you have to take into consideration the slug that you might be in if you are in a big card slug I would take insurance on negative count
@@A1-BJ it’s not shuffle tracking. More so big jumps. Like going from a +2 to -2 in 1 hand (20 vs 20) might signal you are in a high card slug. And now dealer gets an ace, I would be wary that the deck is going negative even more and risk 50% of my minimum bet for a 10 in the hole.
@richardfullem8904 key word in all that is "might." card counting keeps track of the ratio of high cards to low cards. You can't just assume a jump in the count means anything. Use math, not hunches.

Bc the climb up, you are using up all the small cards to approach the cliff of high cards to bring you back to a zero count. If I’m falling into a negative count it’s just as if your falling first before climbing. So taking the insurance is a tad more riskier the earlier in the shoe you are but the concept is the same. Adds to deviation from typical counting strategy leading to less back offs.

Well my count is unbalanced but as far as when to raise the bet etc. we were right on

So if the count just moved +2 to -2 early shoe, Dealer Ace next hand I’d recommend insurance, if count is -20 mid shoe then I’d hold off.
