The storyline is a bit complicated to explain but one thing that‘s really important to know about this is the name of the album and the following albums:
The Clan Part.1: Lost
The Clan Part.2: Guilty
The Clan Part 2.5: Beautiful
Now if you look at the first letter of each title you will have LGB and if you add the Trilogy you have LGBT. We‘re proud to say that this is actually real and in this video it’s also confirmed that Minhyuk (white hair) and Hyungwon (the one who ate the flower in the beginning) are portraying a gay couple.
But mostly the storyline here is that every member has their own issues like an abusive father, a sick family member, a bad injury and so on. It‘s a post apocalyptic scene which they can’t really escape from but they try to with that blue flower juice (a theory says it’s poison, maybe it’s some kind of drug, we don‘t really know). But they end up in this kind of fantasy world in the end.
About the Minhyuk and Hyungwon thing again, they seem to be a gay couple that isn’t accepted by Hyungwons father, who hits him. Minhyuk finds out he got literally beaten up and goes with two friends to burn down the fathers house only to come back and find Hyungwon who tried to commit suicide in the bathtub. So he pours in that blue juice and tries to die with him or save him (their hands move so).
You will see what happens next after seeing Fighter, doesn’t mean you‘ll understand it though... I still don’t get the full storyline and it was never actually explained so all we have is theories.
About Love Killa, every member is portraying a famous villain from a movie here. Like literal psycho killers kinds of villains.
Shownu is Mr Smith from the Matrix (pretty chill, I know), Minhyuk is Patrick Bateman from American Psycho (not so chill anymore), Kihyun is Hannibal Lecter from Silence Of The lambs (no comment), Hyungwon is Tyler Durden aka Brad Pitt from Fight Club (literally a split personality character), Jooheon is the Joker from the Dark Knight Rising and I.M is The Driver from the Movie Drive.
I watched most of these movies after Love Killa dropped and their portrayals are so accurate.
It‘s funny cause non monbebes (or nonbebes) usually are like ‚their concepts aren’t that dark also nearly every group is doing that now‘ but no honestly their amount of dark themes and the way they manage to portray them is unmatched. For example Gambler, I can‘t imagine any group pull off a undercover agent 007 concept with a heist and swat that well as they do. It’s not just because they are that talented but the concept just fits them so well but it‘s really interesting because it feels like they have two personas sometimes. On stage they live up to the name of Monsta X, being professionals and energetic and really good at showing off their talents. But behind the scenes, their actual personalities which they show in all the content we get is just...them being completely normal, relatable and funny humans, their group dynamic is so good and they all work so well together. One member once cried on stage because of his ‚brothers‘, thanking them that he now has 12 parents more and 6 brothers to call his family, just watching them makes me genuinely happy and believe that life has more to give.
So yeah we‘re passionate about them because we love them so freaking much and they deserve everything.
I won’t give suggestions, I think your list is already filled with a lot of interesting stuff!

I honestly don't know what to say. The more I learn about them the more respect and admiration I have for them. I really appreciate people like you and all the other Monbebe that have been educating me and I can officially call myself one now. I can really enjoy a groups songs or MVs but it takes more than that for me to join the fandom. This is a clear example of that. I think the artistry and meanings behind their work is incredible. I love the fact that they're so involved in all of it too that isn't incredibly common in Kpop. A lot of it it's like "Okay guys here is a new track, it's our already proven formula so just look good doin it and we got it" I don't say this to take ANYTHING away from any artists or idols tho, just some labels. Sometimes I get so into vocals and choreo that meanings or portrayals slip by initially but all that about Love Killa is SO cool and yes they killed it. Thank you for showing your support and teaching me so much about these talented individuals. You're all amazing people..
@@redsunkpop Monsta X are really special, when I say that, I mean it. Mostly people don‘t get it and it’s hard to explain everything they do but being active in the fandom, getting news about them every day and messages from them on their social media platform just became a part of my every day life and I wouldn’t want to live without it cause every message can make me smile out of nowhere. They‘re really humble, you might not know but their songs usually don‘t get that many views that fast, this comeback is just special because the title track was completely made by Jooheon himself and I don‘t want to know how long he worked on it cause now and then we find out that a song that we get now has already a little spoiler but that spoiler is two years old... which honestly only proofs our point that they really wait for the song to be worth it to be released. I think they‘re perfectionists and rather than just making music for being famous and keep going and make money, they make music because they love to do it. Jooheon once said that he doesn’t make music to make money, he makes money to make music and I love that a lot.
After learning about them I can say that it‘s possible to pick a bias yes but impossible to not love them all. Their reactions when they achieve something, their loyalty to their fans and the group is something really special. They‘ve been through a lot of hard ships in their career but they fought through everything and managed to get out stronger...

I am having a really hard time not watching / listening to a lot because I wanna save stuff for future reactions! Thank you so much for hanging and watching with me it means a lot! All In was the most requested so it had to be done lol! These guys are amazing and I am excited to keep watching more stuff! They have some really funny videos that you can see there personality. They to me anyways are one of the most funniest groups out there. Wether you watch them on your own or react to some I do suggest looking for some funny videos because it helps you like them even more. And yes wonho is still considered part of the group. No matter what we will always love him and support him :) and I was blessed enough to see wonho in concert with monsta x. It was his last concert in America in 2019 before covid hit and before he left the group. So I hold that memory very dear :) anyways I can’t wait to see more monsta x from you or any other videos you put out. I will still check them out.

My bias has never ended up being who I was initially drawn to in a group. I always find my bias through their personalities! Oh gosh that makes me really happy to hear. @@redsunkpop oh ofcourse I will defiantly always support your content :) and that’s how I found my bias of monsta x actually. Like he caught my eye when I saw the music videos but then I watched there funny videos and he made me laugh more than anything. And he’s so relatable. My bias is hyungwon from monsta x he’s the tall guy with the long hair or sometimes shorter black hair but it’s usually a little bit longer than the other guys hair. But right now the rapper IM has longer hair than he does lol. But in videos you can see who he is because he’s the tallest. But that’s how I was able to for sure know he was my bias. So yes those videos are the best. It shows you so much more about them. :)

They really do seem so unique in a formulated industry. I'm kind of seeing them stray from trends and still kill it so I really respect that! Thank you so much for your support and suggestions! So I am saving Alligator for a reaction down the road but I will check out some of these. It's kind of hard because I wanna dive into a bunch of stuff but I also want to save stuff to watch with you guys. One small correction... the MAMA 2020 performance was too short (pfthhhhhh Mnet). MelOn 2020 performance was fire and they actually showed more respect to this ubertalented group with a longer timeslot.
I'm not going to say much because I see lots of other mbb in the comments have explained things, but I will say that if you like the MVs and title tracks, definitely make sure to give some of their b sides a listen. Their b sides are where the real gold lies. Honestly some of the most interesting songs can be found there, and the true talent of the members really shines on them. Mbb would love to see an album first listen too if you have the chance, and I'm sure we'd be more than happy to watch reactions to guides as well if you ever feel up to posting them. If you're interested there are even individual member guides on Chaena's channel which go into each of them in great detail.

Listen, my guy, this might a verrrry long comment but here goes 😂
First of all, yes KPOP's BEST RAP DUO!
Their english voices do sound pretty good, they have good pronouciation, even when they speak, which they have improved alot. But actually Changkyun (Stage name I.M) lived 3 years in Boston and 4 years in Israel, so he's the main English speaker, and he puts alot of English in his rap verses.
All In has a storyline so it's normal that you felt a bit lost. I'm not going to write a whole theory, as that would make this comment even longer. But if you really want an explaination, I can write it down later, as it's tied in with two other MVs, Fighter and Beautiful.
If you want to know them in better detail, there are guides that you could watch (and maybe react to, believe me when I say we (MONBEBE, Fandom name) will watch you react to all of them, haha!
The guides from Chaena are the best!! They have a basic but pretty informative group guide. And there are Individual guides for all 7 members.
As for choreos, here some of my personnal favorites :
-Beastmode (dance practice and/or Live ( I suggest Inkigayo))

MonstaX have a more "mature"/dangerous vibe than most other groups...it's partly because they started out when they were a bit older (they were all in their early 20s, as opposed to being teenagers). Their dance practices are awesome. I would recommend watching the choreography for the song "Fighter", "Shoot Out" and "Beastmode" for starters.
Yeah I definitely get that vibe and I like it a lot! I am gonna be checking out Fighter because I've had that suggested a few times! Shoot Out is amazing I've watched that several times lately. One of my favorite dance practices of MX is Shine Forever. I haven’t seen anyone else suggest it but it’s the original song and video that made me fall in love with them and started me on my Monbebe journey! I prefer the dance practice version over the official MV for this song ‘cause you can appreciate the music and choreography more without the distraction of trying to figure out the storyline in the MV. Really looking forward to seeing more of your reactions! Monsta X are the best kept secret in K-Pop, it’s like discovering a treasure! The more you learn about them the more you respect and admire them both as artists and people.

Yay I subbed because of your intro song DREAMCATCHER!! Awesome and my babies Monsta X! They will not disappoint you. They have so many different beats in their songs and they sound great in all of them, so have not heard not one bad song. I noticed how you mentioned their English. They actually released an all English album back in Feb 2020. An all English song I love is “Play it Cool” ft. Steve Aoki. It has more choreo to show during the video also, Alligator has an amazing choreo that shows well during the video. But, honestly all their choreos are so good as they always hit the beat). I could recommend so many more but I’ll wait for the next video lol
For dance practices that hit hard I recommend going back to the beginning with “No Exit” or “Fighter” (it has a more aggressive feel to it and is rap line focused). “Alligator” is more recent and good as well

[/1] I didn't look at all of the comments but I didn't see an immediate one explaining the MV for ALL IN. So here it goes: First things first, this MV was released on International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia and with the imagery and suggested relationship between Minhyuk and Hyungwon, I don't believe that's a coincidence. This is all just my interpretation of course. I believe it starts off in a flashback of a war sort of scene, I saw it's a flashback because Kihyun isn't limping while they are in their white gear and the rest of the video he is, showing that he's dealing with his war injuries. I think this video can be broken down into three parts. Part 1: Shownu's storyline: Shownu's father is dying and he requires the money to treat him so with the help of Jooheon who gives him a gun, and together they rob a store. Shownu shows up with a bag of stolen money only to find out that he ran out of time and his father has passed. Shownu then burns the money. Part 2: Minhyuk and Hyungwon: They are lovers and Hyungwon's dad is a religious person, as it looks like he hits with with a bible. When Hyungwon goes home his father beats him, maybe due to the fact that he gave flowers to the boy (the military persons with guns in the beginning) or was openly indecent in his father's eyes. Minhyuk finds Hyungwon and Hyungwon is hesistant to show Minhyuk his beaten and bloodied face. When Minhyuk sees this he becomes enraged and takes Wonho and I.M to burn Hyungwon's father's house down after telling the police who arrest him. When Minhyuk comes back to see Hyungwon he's already decided to take his own life. Minhyuk tries to revive him and lays with him in the tub and you see Hyungwon's hand grasp his as their last scene. Part 3: The flower: People have identified these flowers as blue delphinium, also known as larkspur are toxic to humans and can cause severe digestive discomfort and skin irritation if ingested. Potential death due to these flowers is through cardiotoxic and neuromuscular blocking effects, and can occur within a few hours of ingestion. However, according to mythology and the uses of larkspur in witchcraft, these flowers actually have protective and healing properties. In Greek mythology, larkspur sprung from the blood of Ajax. It was used to heal and protect those on the battlefield, and is apparently suitable for spells related to the protection, comfort, and care of soldiers and other ‘hero types.’ It’s also deemed appropriate for rituals to honor the heroic dead.

[/2] So here, with rituals and magic, the X Clan are making potions from the larkspur to create healing and protective potions, or perhaps maybe to end their lives if used in large doses (or the entire vile at once, as seen in the MV)? I'm not positive. I think the purple blob seen at the end of the MV and I think in their flashbacks might have passed down the knowledge of this flower to them, or given them the flowers to cultivate. They don't seem scared of it and Kihyun even smiles as it, which makes me think it's a positive symbol. In the frames of the members at the end, some are seen with their eyes closed, being Minhyuk, Hyungwon and Shownu, the ones who exposed themselves to the Larkspur potion, so maybe they have passed on? I'm not sure about this but it seems significant. End comments would be that at the time of this release there weren't a lot of MVs making LGBTQ+ statements or representations so this was really special and quite daring from them. Starship is known for making MVs with artists that have become quite famous for their gay representations with K.Will's "Please Don't" and Sistar's "One More Day" (Iconic). But overall you see it much more frequently now. Anyways, it's one of my favorite MV's of all time. I'm disappointed they went a different direction with the storyline after this, but I still love them. This is the longest comment I have ever written, my bad ya'll. I got carried away.
i know that's late but yes there's a lot of theories about all in but basically we can say that the mv tackled really important themes such as same-sex love, suicide, homophobia, abusive parent, oppressive policemen, rubbery for saving a family member, revenge and witchcraft with a mixture of some fantasy (the forget-me-not liquid could be a mean to revival). this mv with the song are actual masterpieces, if you're interested in monsta x themselves there's a video about them being socially aware and educated, you can watch it if you want.
If you love the rap duo, they really shine in Stuck (and choreo is impressive), Hero, Alligator, and Beautiful.
Some of their videos have story lines so if you want an initial intro to the song without the confusion but still impressive visuals, they have performance MVs for a lot of them that are worth watching.
Alligator is the #1 on my list for when I react to more of their stuff so stay tuned! I LOVEEEEE the rap duo. It's so hard cause I wanna go on a big Monsta binge but I wanna save stuff to watch with you guys hah. Thank you so much for watching!

I highly recommend Wanted, X-Phenomenon, Spotlight and Livin it Up. They also have some soft songs like Puzzle and Flavors of Love but I prefer their hard hitting songs for their Japanese tracks.

Their English is good because they all know English to various extents. Rapper I.M. is fluent in English having spent a good portion of his childhood in Boston. Lead Vocalist, Kihyun, has also become quite fluent in recent years. Both JooHoney and Shownu speak English at a high intermediate to advanced level and the rest of the members can speak at an intermediate level as well. If you want new group to check out I'd like to recommend A.C.E. they are an underrated 5 member boy group with a diverse catalogue of songs and amazing dancing. One of the reasons they are called A.C.E. is that they are all aces and were too trainees at their former companies. They also have really unique style.
