I've been watching your reviews for a few months. I'm dying to go prosecuting for gold. However, I have colon cancer and at the moment I'm dealing with a tumor that keeps me in pain. Hopefully I will be heading to surgery to remove it soon. So going prosecuting is not going to happen for a few months. I've also been looking to purchase paydirt. I decided to make my first purchase if paydirt with you. So next week I can pan for gold at home and get some practice for after I recover from surgery. Small upgrade you can do for that sluice box. Get a quick disconnect for it. Itll protect the threads and make it faster to connect/disconnect. Not really necessary but they’re definitely nice
Oh yeah sounds great! I have 3 sluices too, would save time for sure. I plan on upgrading the entire system once I move though. Right now it's more about fighting the ice - everything's outside on my balcony. New place = GPAH shed!

This is one of the first bags i bought when i started back yard panning. very fine stuff, flour gold all day long, so far i have gone through 3 lbs of dirt and recovered so much flour, but it is mixed in with a lot of blonds....i am waiting to finish the rest of it with a blue bowl or recirc sluice.

Montana is close to Wyoming and I mine from a gold rich river but I’ve never found any nuggets but I have found pickers not huge ones but what I’m saying is that in those states u will mostly find flower gold
It's sad that people say that "this is the best paydirt ever" with such little gold in it. I feel like if my back was up to it I could go down to the Bear RIver south of town here and just dig up and box a bunch of dirt and claim "this paydirt is from the richest river in California Gold Rush history!" and sell it like hot cakes despite the fact that being below the dam, there's very little gold in it. Good thing I'm not that kind of person though. (plus I don't have money to bag the stuff and ship it out) I will say that our dirt down here definitely is tricky to pan with not only black sands but grey/white heavy sands too (zircon powder.)

Moving yes but staying in Colorado! I’m not allowed to give things to Patreon members except shout outs - I did try giving gold nuggets away to Patreon supporters but Patreon almost shut my account down because of that.
So, I live about 45 minutes from where this dirt comes from. It was a huge gold producing area back in the gold rush days. It has been mined hard for decades though, and I suspect a lot of the good gold has been removed. Of course, if it is unsearched, there will be an occasional very good bag, but most are likely to be duds. There have been a few people to find an occasional picker in this guys bags, but not many.

What do you do with all the old dirt and gravel and chunky rocks? Reuse them for your pay dirts or do you have a dump pit or something? Do you ever pick out cool looking rocks to hold onto?
I really needed a setup to blast through large amounts of dirt for these videos, so I chose to build this recirculating sluice system with a large cell dream mat. It works awesome!
Bought the 20-25lb when it was on sale, still like $80 and got like .315g I've tried a few other smaller bags from MP too and I will no longer buy that paydirt. Goldbay is my go to for sure

Thankfully, I got my $60.00 bucks back but I wish there was some way to get this sort of thing de-listed from the various sites allowing folks to be 'scammed'. I see your commenters below saying they are doing this for the first time and are finding very fine flour gold. I fear they don't know it's pyrite and mica! My four pounds of fractured rocks (mine tailings? to add weight?) and mud, mica and fools gold and didn't even have 1/2 teaspoon of black sands. Very , very hard to pan and yielded ONLY 1 small flake! This is just not right! Even with the seller's comments something to the effect that it's a 'crap shoot' and that it's possible to find very little gold. BUT in the very same ad it said gold is added. Nothing was added to mine. I had other friends - members of two different gold clubs I belong to go through the unadulterated material with the same results.

Yeah the large dream mat is good for running lots of material (like in this video), the smaller pattern (I also have this) is great for running concentrates.
