So just a heads up for future mate, your GMR and PBM numbers should be sent to you via your office etc, then the GMR must be put in on the website before you get to the dock of travel... input your number and itll give you a green/amber/red for a customs check. Then do the same with PBM but before you get to your port of arrival. Technically also, you should be displaying you 'angle morts' stickers on either side of the cab and trailer, and a UK sign on the side of your number plate... To go through belgium you need a toll box, you can get these from random laybys/truck stops in belgium (theyre like vending machines) you have to scan all your docs (v5 insurance etc) then pay the amount and itll give you the box, plug it into your cig lighter and the light will go green when in belgium... you can return them leaving belgium.. Hope this helps for future
Best video you have made yet . Shows all those who think they know how ,not what to do ,education at its best .You dont get much more honesty than this . Most would have covered this up . Hats off to you for putting it up there .
Welcome to post BREXIT life Timmo. Wayyy harder to take anything from the UK to EU and back. Always best to check online what paperwork you need before heading out on the trip
You also need angel stickers on the truck & trailer & a toll box for Belgium Surely agrifac would know what paperwork was required if their headoffice is in Holland they must send equipment over there
As an owner operator I know what hassle it is to get in and out the UK with a lorry and a load. Experience makes it a lot easier. But I recognize your struggles at the port , just like I had in the beginning.
You can get the On board unit (OBU) for belgium roads at the borders its better to have it than not when it will be expensive😃 but fun to see i werent the only one having trouble getting the papers🤣
Trucker Tim I do not drive trucks and watching this i am so glad i don't cos I would go crazy How do you make it pay when this happens? Surely it was not allowed for when you costed for the journey
Harbour. Shipping dover rent Belgium boxes out(cos the machine at the border isnt allway available )give them a call & you pick it up from the port near the drivers reception & drop it off when you get back.
As someone who works in logistics dealing with customs formalities, a T1 is not always needed, it can be a EUAA or EUAA T1 or EXAD or EXAD T1, but only if the stock is not customs cleared a T1 is needed. But most of all the T1 is always on request of the transporter / customer
All of those documents you mention here should be provided by the sender of the goods up on loading. The alternative is that the numbers comes to your phone while driving towards the border and you go to a broker (like KGH) and get the papers presenting the numbers. If you have your own spediton firm andd take the hauls directly from the sender, its up to you to get all papers like export invoice, cmr etz from the sender of the goods and present to the customs to get a T1 or T2
Glad i jacked in Europe long before all this bollox. about 20 years ago i was doin swiss, goin in no problem (always Bale) comin out wiel am rhien, every bloody week there was hassle,i'd only picked my papers up half hour before the border, every time i would ask''is everything alright and complete'' no,it never was. the final job i did ,i found out about ata carnet, what fun.
I was going through Dover out of UK yesterday. My custom paperwork was almost 2 inches thick for 97 euro palets. Everything must be in order, one wrong small mistake and you are stuck and this is for crossing from or in to UK. I actually going twice to custom becase Norway has own as well. You just wasted time and fuel next time you must be better prepared. Try to avoid check up point because your lorry is not legal. Unfortunately they can park you and only tow track can take you away
I feel for you Tim,that's one of the reasons I never wanted to do European work,it was bad enough with coaches at times, remember seeing loads of lorry s stuck at border crossings
Watchout if you have to import/export agricoltural vehicles from a country to another, last week me and my da d had to transport a muck spreader from Switzerland to Italy, it was soo much paperwork that the buyer renounced to buy it, i don't know about wngland but always check👍 Great video as always!!!!
Great vid Brother. Sharing the bad with the good takes balls and you got em. Still waiting for that trailer of yours to show up. Keep em coming Tim 👍💕🇮🇪
My old man used to cross alot in the 80s presses from old factorys in brum to poland big lumps it was looooong crossing over with all these agents he had to see and queues to cross all the borders be gone weeks
Thought you said you was ready for Europe? Wheres the speed stickers on the trailer and cab? Doesn't the trailer need to be registered and have its own number plate now? Also morts angles stickers
Hi Tim,thank you for your entertaining video's.I've sent you that link about the OBU you will need for roadtax in Belgium.I'm also wondering if you don't have to follow an elaborate course before becoming a transportcompany,as we do in Belgium. Kind regards,Frank
Oh Tim your should have watch trucker jenko and the Breeze. They have lots of videos regarding customs and paperwork. Although this video will probably be good for viewing numbers. Next time timbo
A boat to Morocco , lol😅 have fun with that , and make sure your paperwork is right , you might have to leave your truck there forever if you get it wrong
In my work I’ve to enter t1 forms before offloading even that is a pain in the arse wait 20 minutes and see if customs lets you offload it or not it’s just an unnecessary process in my opinion
Imagine if you go there tmr cuz I’m coming back to England tmr I’m in Poland and my mum is driving down to England and imagine if I saw you spot you that would be so cool but in my dreams sadly but hopefully one day I do love your content btw
Well Tim it wasn’t your fault the paperwork wasn’t right as this was your first ever European load. Better luck next time & congratulations on200k subs, only another 50k for another play button.
First rule of international haulage...if you're not sure or don't know, ask someone who does. And then check again otherwise you'll just burn time and money

That sounds more hassle then it’s worth but useful info though
i hope he won't drive trough germany, bc he would be instandly be pulled over for having a openwheel 😅😂
@@Dutch_Sprint Yup, Germany is a tw@ to go through... haven't done it myself, we just normally go France, Belgium, Luxembourg
Openwheel?
@@lueyR what he means is the steering wheel ''3spoke'' if they see that, your fcked atleast it isnt white of color so its blending in more now

I've never driven to UK, but in EU you must have CMR even if you don't cross any border. Is haulinng in UK so different? 🤔
Don't mention the B word! 49/51 I wonder what it would be if there was a Ref now!
Used to use T-forms in the late 90' so nothing new going back to using them again. Don't miss standing on the stairs at Dover with T-forms
@lexik223 just need a proof of delivery note. If carrying alcohol that is tax suspended you need an ARC number
@@ianthompson5440now severington… 🤣

This is a moment in Trucker tim history (but those sprayer beams are bad omen)
I don’t disagree with you
It was great meeting you 🤩

Wouldn’t be a Trucker Tim without an appearance from Mr Lombardo
Thats not a mistake, thats total incompetence 😂
Haha

Those sprayer booms things are bad luck.
200K Subs, well done. Kudos to you for remaining so cool and calm whilst enduring the never ending customs red tape...
Love to see Shaun going over the water with you 👍🏻
Just wait till hes going over to tow the tuck back with its bad omen boom sections on the back! lol

All your misery makes for an entertaining, very educational video that future drivers will watch and learn from. Thank you for your sacrifice.

Wow, you must have the patience of a saint putting up with all that red tape. I got frustrated for you just from my arm chair. Your a legend.
Did you ring around for a return load tim lots of agricultural machinery manufacturing companies in the European Union 😊
Brilliant I think I would have had the same problem if I had ventured across the water
Better luck next time at least you know what you need ⭐️
Sounds like you need to sack your transport manager and your shipping agent. On a positive note congratulations on 200k subs 😂🤦♀️🤦♀️
Shame about the trip not going ahead when we thought. Hopefully next time it will be success. Maybe don't take the unlucky booms with you 😂👍❤️🤠
