My choice for a Christmas trip to London this year will be Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Oliver at the Gielgud Theatre, which is a transfer of the highly successful Chichester Theatre staging and is directed and choreographed by the brilliant Matthew Vaughan.

Couple of other suggestions : 1) obviously TKTS website on day tickets (from midnight) 2) for day trippers Old Vic evening performance often starts at 7pm and finishes around 9pm so with adjacent Waterloo well connected, still chance to catch last longer distance train (what I’ll be doing on 29 Nov) 3) with it closing in early January recommend checking out Guys and Dolls at Bridge Theatre
