@@gearzdesign he did change it, though. the Goethe one is about water, Manuel changes it to talk about killing gods; like the rest of the German parts
If y’all dropped an album that was full of songs like this, you’d crush with sales. Obviously you should stay true to yourself but y’all clearly have talent for metal and the perfect voice for it. These vocals are pure evil and fit perfectly in the mix.
There are still Elements of the Blues sound in the calm down parts and this mix between Genres is fucking Genius!

@@min-core I hear something even older than blues here. I hear spirituals and work songs in his clean vocals, which is where the blues come from and, by extension, metal. It's really not so long a walk from Southern black churches to every genre of metal.

The evil vocals are very reminiscent of some of Anaal Nathrakh's tracks. Check them out if you haven't already.
What a masterpiece of a track. The dynamics between the harsh vocals and the clean spoken parts is brilliant. And the rhythm section is super on point.

The last bit that needs translation is in Latin, and roughly translates to God, Excellent (in reference to a person being Excellent), Black, Holy One or Female Genitals (maybe womb?) or The worship a holy one is owed. I'm assuming its not the other possibility of a conjoining word since it comes at the end of the phrase. Which seems to be more or less a short prayer to a god who possesses these qualities in a deific manner. Is anyone going to be surprised that my guess is probably that its one of the Goetia and is most likely Lucifer or any of the other Lords of Hell?
Magnus means Great or Grand in latin, not excellent. Deus Magnus Niger Quoniam translated is The Black God is Great

It's more like: For (= because) the Great God is black
In the second segment he sings "...gib als Gaben nur was DIR nicht mehr bekommt" which translates to something like "only give as gifts what does not suit you anymore."
Other than that the translation is right as far as i can tell :)

Anyway. The Bandleader regularly posted on 4chan asking for different genres he could combine. One day someone said “n-word music” and another “black metal” and Zeal&Ardor was born.
