    Paint the plug cover the same color as the walls and it will blend in ❤

    I'd most definitely anchor that mirror for the babies. Jackson ran full force into my standing bedroom mirror and it pushed in and fell over. 😮 Thankfully I was standing there, so it hit me and not him. I love your hutch the color it is. The bench will look so pretty on the porch. ❤

    Just a suggestion, Lauren about the outlet cover above the hutch… If you have any wall paint left over, paint the cover, just so it blends in a little bit
    Also, another suggestion would be to move Oliver‘s table set next to the dining table so that you all can sit together when you eat a meal, at least until you get a bigger table 😊

    Unpopular opinion but I like it simplicity of the white hutch on the wall just as it is! If you wanted texture maybe some bead board but to match the existing wall color? The photo wall doesn’t have to compete then. Love the hutch there though!! These decorating videos of yours are so fun 😊❤

    Board and batteen. And keep the hutch white. I'm really liking the layout for your room!

  • @pamelacoles4807

    I really love the new layout. Rather than B & B on the wall in the living room, maybe just painting the wall charcoal and leaving the hutch white. In the dining room not adding any additional furniture would allow for a oblong or rectangular dining table with more space for seating your growing family.

    I would leave the hutch the color it is and make that an accent wall in a charcoal color. If you want that plug or outlet to disappear, paint it the wall color.
    Also I would put in a rectangle table in the kitchen and leave that wall clear . Your changes look so much better and less cluttered. Love it !

  • @joanchavez5984

    Looking good. You may try your bench against the wall in the dining area for extra seating around your table. Just an idea..

    Hey Lauren! You look so beautiful! I would paint the hutch grey, leave the wall white, paint the outlet cover same as wall. Love the idea of a door with windows and a hanging light fixture. I think that would look beautiful.

    @JoyTPenno 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Okay a few things.. 1. Have you tried to move the LV room to the left? With the TV on the wall where you put the hutch and the couches turned to face it. 2. If you have paint I would suggest painting the outlet cover that is high on the wall the same color as the wall to detract from it. It is mostly noticeable because it's white. 3. For the dining area did you find a new table? With the new baby comes seating for 4... So maybe a larger table and chairs will fill in the space with some artwork for the wall.

    Love the direction you’re going with the living room/entry Lauren! I vote something behind the hutch with color. With that big picture wall you don’t need any more imo. I’m sure you’ll figure it out as you have with these changes. Live with it for a bit & see what you feel.

    If you have a outlet on the upper part of the wall it’s usually so that you can mount a tv on that wall and hide the cords. At least that’s how it is in the house we just built.

  • @barbarapratt5682
    @barbarapratt5682 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi Lauren! I love that you are trying things out and also getting it the way you want before baby girl arrives. Just a couple of things I was thinking. If you add the olive tree, take the blanket ladder away. I think it would clutter up that area and you know you are going to need all the room you can get when baby 2 has toys too. I would also concentrate on just finding a larger dining room table so you can eat as a family rather than worry about a coffee bar at this point. Love the gallery wall on that wall so much better! As far as hutch, if you feel like chalk paint Lauren isn’t in your home much anymore, go ahead and paint the hutch😊

    Love it!!! Believe it or not from day one of watching your channel. I have always wanted you to move the bench from where it was. Don’t paint the hutch because it pulls in the white from the end table and the white from the blanket ladder. Definitely think you should go with the board and batten behind the hutch, but make that your color and not the hutch.

    I would do board and batten (or beadboard) painted the same gray color that is on the wall where you moved your gallery wall and then leave the hutch alone. I would also consider painting the outlet cover the same color as your wall is to just help it blend into the background thereby making it less noticeable.

    Love the new layout! As far as painting hutch or wall…depends on what decor u will mostly use for styling in hutch. If u have mostly white or light tone pieces, then paint hutch dark color. If decor is mostly wood or dark tone items, then paint wall/beadboard darker color.

    It looks absolutely beautiful! Your home was already stunning but this is even more beautiful.🫶🏼 I, personally agree with you and most of the other comments about leaving the hutch white and doing the board and batten. The only thing I’d say is: I think that deep of a color (charcoal gray) in an already very gray, cool toned room would make it feel dark, cold, and small-looking. Especially with your other gray walls. I’d maybe play around with a wood-toned board and batten for the contrast. I think you’d be pleasantly surprised what the natural tones will do for a space! The warm tones would nicely compliment the cool tones you have as your vibe.🤍

    I think you should paint the hutch and frame with gold frames. Maybe change out the hutch hardware to gold or paint the ones you have now with a bronze/gold wax. It'll look a little edgier and trend slightly away from the chalk paint farmhouse look you mentioned you'd like to sway from. You could add a large plant to the top of your hutch to cover the electrical cover as well. Just some thoughts. Either way, it'll look great!

    I was so sad when you had been talking about moving the white bench from the entryway….but honestly I love the mirror! I think it was the bench that was making the space seem so awkward! I also love the hutch in the living room! You could have a large square table in the corner of your kitchen where it used to be! With a bench for the table along the wall the hutch was on and another along the windows! Or get a rectangle table and put the white bench along the wall with windows then some chairs for the other sides! Moving stuff around has given me so many ideas and I bet it has for you too! Can’t wait to see more! ❤

    Hi Lauren! Loving all the changes so far!!
    For the dining area.. I would do a corner nook bench that takes up that whole corner and extends under the windows, with a rectangle table and chairs on the outside part. That way you maximize the use of that entire corner and the table can be tucked in as much as possible without having to keep it too far from the walls to fit chairs, walking space, etc.

Oh, I do like the hutch wall in the living room and do board and batten or bead board (to match the entry wall if you decided to do that there) on that wall since the other wall will have pictures on it already🌼 I love the big pictures on that gray wall with the black frames🌼 I love how your main living space looks now! 🌼

    I like where you moved the hutch, it looks very nice there. Yes you fill it with collectibles and other items that you enjoy, I think the gray will add depth to the wall, you could add sconces on each side and art work. It all takes time when living in a home things change many times before you find your own style. You have to think the pictures you hung up will be changing now that you are adding a new baby, maybe go smaller and make it a gallery wall with family photos.
    You could put the bench in the kitchen when you get another table you maybe able to use it as another seating area.

    Hi Lauren love the hutch where you put it please don’t paint it. Get a big oval flat basket to cover outlet. Make a coffee bar that would be adorable!! You could also put sun tea on it in the summer. I would buy storm door for your front door so you can let some light in, like a security door that locks. Put the board and batten on bottom of wall but stain to match your entertainment center like barn yard wood. Love your channel!!!

    Looks great! Try cornering the blanket ladder since everything else on that large wall is flat up against it and uniform. 😊
    Small rectangular table for your little family sounds perfect!

    Definitely charcoal grey board and batten!! And yeah I agree with some others. Large family pics may be too much since you have that full other wall. Maybe a tall pant on one side. And one of those church style wooden windows (idk if that makes sense!) and hang a wreath in the middle of it.
    Love how everything is turning out so far!!

    Love your channel! As a realtor, I would advise investing in a nice front door with a window - the expense does pay off! I love the idea of board + batten to separate the entry space as well.
