Thank you for another great reaction to Onewe! Please do more! I know they are not heavy rock, but they are still incredibly talented with beautifully written songs. ' Shoot it out' is another rock song of theirs you should check out. There is not a music video for it but there might be a live fancam or lyric video you could check out. Please, and thank you!
listening to Montage_ is like riding a rollercoaster. It started out mild and chill, until you come to the peak, once the drop happens, it's all crazy and wild and you end up breathless in the end :))
Aside from Montage, they have a few more rock sounding songs. You should check out Trauma (Aquarium) and Shoot it Out. I would also recommend Ring on My Ears, although it's not as hard as the other two.
I'm late to this, but I really need to point out how much I enjoy your reactions to Onewe! Thank you! PS: I agree with wishing for heavier drums and their leaning more to the rock side comment, although I love their music as it is.
Lol. If you want to see a band rock out while driving on the back of a truck watch the MV for Hyukoh's Wanli. The MV was filmed in Mongolia and it looked like it was cold af on the truck. Wanli is based on a variation of a Joy Division lick but Hyukoh's style is all over the place and I really think you'd like them. Onewe, Hyukoh and Se So Neon are the only k-rock bands I follow closely. I've seen Hyukoh and Se So Neon kill it at clubs in Philly and NY and really hope to get the chance to see Onewe one day. Totally agree with Septa's double kick comment. Songs like Montage scream out for an even heavier treatment with Harin driving the band like an 18 wheeler going down a mountain without brakes. 😱 I also dig the illuminated fret markers on Giuk's Bacchus 5 string bass. He often switches between the Bacchus and a Nash reproduction of a vintage P-bass that he calls Bumblebee cuz it's butterscotch blond with a black pickguard.
Ok, you both have me listening 🎶 to Baby Monster and now OneWe!!! Great reaction ❤❤ I'm not sure if you have had a chance to watch The Rose. Would love to see your reaction to them.
So happy to see this reaction to ONEWE! They really make fantastic music.
