The fastest E400 ZF ive seen and to me the Euro 4 engined ones are the best. We have a re engined Plaxton President Trident with the same engine and that's unrestricted. Its has a Voith but still goes like stink and will happily cruise at 60mph since it has a high speed back axle.

These could do 65mph without a doubt, they made a real good job fully refurbishing them!!

Do any Euro 4 6 speed ZF's exist? I've not seen any and maybe ADL never offered it as it probably didn't fit.
Yes, Go Ahead London and First Essex both have SN58 examples that are 6 speed

Lucky him, that must have been in Travel London days! It was always limited to 56mph when I was on it, until it was limited to 40.

These ones have the 250bhp Cummins ISBE engines.
