I was born in 2000, we had some pretty cool toys, video games, and Tv shows as well. I grew up with the Wii, DS, and the PSP to an extent. I played with a bunch of different toys, from Littlest pet shop, my little pony, Polly pockets, hot wheels, forest friends, play mobile, etc. And I grew up watching Nickelodeon, Disney channel/Disney XD, and good ole PBS kids.
I grew up in the ‘80s and ‘90s and I’m here to tell you…the hype around the big top 5 most popular toys each Christmas was REAL. From Castle Greyskull and Transformers to Teddy Ruxpin and Tickle Me Elmo…folks was getting murked in the toy aisles back in the day for real 😂
Literally! I would even go as far to argue that kids today won’t know the joy of building gundam figures and the satisfaction of having the finished product.
It was donkey Kong 64 for me. The fact you could play as the other characters was most impressive to me when compared to super Mario 64. I want to say it was the co-character based missions that helped pave the way to gtaV
Yesss!! I’m proud to be a 90s baby because of this
It was the golden age frr! ✨

2000s babies really did get the best of all worlds.

Kids will never understand the joy of unwrapping a new gundam toy for Xmas

The co-character missions were clutch! That’s a really good synopsis too, on how that format inspired other games like GTA. Good thinking!
