Please stop simping or worse leading Magine it’s fucking cringe and it’s a sign that Zenkaiger fans are retarded. Go simp Megumin, Rem or Emilia or some other girl. I also hate Zenkaiger it’s all about 6 dumbasses just running around like a retard on purpose. Watch real shows like Gokaiger or Gaim
By the way Haruka(OniSister) is actually a better waifu than Magine. She’s human who can make facial expressions and she’s so moe. So why don’t you simp her and touch grass instead of simping a fucking Kikainoid that can’t even make facial expressions
Honestly, when it first started coming out. I was just starting as a Tokutatsu viewer and only watched Ultraman and Kamen Rider so far . When I saw a screenshot I honestly thought it was a Super Hero Taisen and Mach made an appearance XD
The fact that thomas gave majin her own sigmet and talked about her and his love story is pretty wholesome so thomasjujube you go bro magine is all your you earned it
This video has gotten my attention and I am happy to see there is a new pink ranger that is really pretty, hopefully I get to watching this show. Magine looks so cute and girly 🥰😍
I like how all three humans have an element of family as their core motivation of their character. Kaito was childish to keep his grandmother a little happy. Zox had to become an adult to protect his family and tradition Stacey lost his mom and has an abusive dad.
I totally understand how you connect to Magine, it’s very similar to how I feel about Juuru from Kiramaiger. When Kiramaiger was airing I was struggling with my sexuality in a high school environment and while that is not something Juuru had to go through, his and my share of the love of art, creativity, and overall growing up we went through simultaneously made me love him with all my heart. Is is one of the least perfect Leaders, but grows and learns from his friends, and builds up the courage to step out of his comfort zone and be the sparkling colorful person he wants to be, stepping away from the anxieties he had of his teenager life, and moving forward as an adult. He’s my Favorite Sentai Character Ever. And that’s what I love about toku. We can find these characters that while many may see and childish or dumb at first glance can mean so much to us. Someone we can point at the screen to and say, “hey that’s just like me”.
Admittedly I love that in toku in general, you can find characters like that, also you connecting with Juuru, it's kinda nice, admittedly the first few seasons of Sentai, I never had a character like that, I started watching super Sentai just when nininger was finishing and I started with zyuohger, I didnt have a character I really connected with, then I watched gokaiger, it was ahim for me, now granted I'm transfeminine but I could see myself in ahim, if that makes sense, also that fight where she takes out the monster who destroyed her home, my God, I cried. Admittedly in other shows, while rare i can find characters i connect to, but i find it so cool that we can find it in tokusatsu
@@jamiemarshall6832agreed! I'm a much more recent tokusatsu fan, but seeing rita and jeramie in kingohger be such confidently androgynous characters has been really affirming for me as someone in the middle of a nonbinary transition
@aarcade6676 I do really love Rita, so seeing that people are connecting with them is nice. Personally I do love heroes well who it doesn't matter their gender or from first glance you can't tell their gender. Now I for a while, did come off as non binary, so it was nice seeing characters who were like me, in a way. In king ohger, I do connect a little with gira, definitely Rita and jeramie as well. I just think it's so nice we can have these people we can connect with, it's nice.
Man, I have never seen a toku fan such connected to a character before and that really touched me as a tokusatsu fan. The great and positive things you said about Magine and Zenkaiger as a whole is the most sweetest thing you've ever said and the both of you surprisingly have a connection. I really hope the producers and the creators of the show would see your review because I totally agree that Zenkaiger is the best super sentai anniversary and I do hope Zenkaiger will remain nostalgic for other tokusatsu viewers.
Zenkaiger was the series that brought me back to the franchise after dropping off around Gekiranger, but it was such a perfect meta tribute to the series. It was so beautiful, it made me laugh more than any previous series and I’d never loved every single character the way I’d loved them in Zenkaiger. I am sad that it’s over, but the fact that DonBrothers is giving me more of Zenkaiger gives me so much hope.
I really love how Zenkaiger managed to break its pre-existing mold, in which the main team consists of 4 mechas and a single human. The fact that this is Super Sentai's anniversary, along with it pushing its mecha aspect, made this series grew to be my 2nd favorite Super Sentai (the 1st being Gokaiger, of course). For the additional Rangers, Zox's character was also brought up as Gokaiger's cancelled script of a "bad boy" 6th member, which was supposed to be Gai's initial character. Then, there's Stacey, one of the best characters of Zenkaiger and one whose actor was brought into the show due to his own charm and charisma. About the mecha gimmicks, I was curious to see if each mecha members could gain their respective power-ups by combining with a component that could make their gattai look symmetrical unlike their default gattais (imagine a proper Super Zenkai Juran, Gaon, Magine, and Vroon). There was also a possibility of Black JuraGaon forming new arms for Battle Ceaser like Zenryoku Zenkaioh. But unfortunately, w didn't get them, at all. T_T I feel like they've wasted the chance of having Zenkai Red being intiated into Zenkaiger's official 6th member, and how he could be assigned to pilot ZenkaiOh VrooMagine whereas Kaito usually piloted the JuraGaon. There's also a big flaw on how Lackluster the villains are and that they never took their time on exploring them DESPITE having a length of 49 episodes to do so. What really bugs me the most however, is the fact that Aka Red didn't appear in its movie, series, nor special at all, especially since the number 45th Anniversary already fits the bill. Instead, he just appeared with his 4th Anniv logo as an image for the Twitter acc's post. It was also weird that we had never gotten any Zyuohger-based mecha/Ranger in the show despite it also being the 40th Anniversary season. Except if EnyaRideon counts as it. Even so, it's still a good show. ;)
AkaRed still has a shot in the Zenkaiger vs Kirameiger vs Senpaiger movie. Honestly that feels like a good place for him since that’s the only Zenkaiger thing that’s a crossover with real previous Sentai
@@rueblie2627 if it were up to me, I'd like to have a DonBros VS Zenkai VS Gokai movie with AkaRed in it since they all shared the Legacy Gimmick. It'd be more fitting IMO.
You mentioned episode 37 where Magine and Flint helping out a girl who was embarrassed about a doll she made, and Magine telling her about how everyone has something they're inspired in that they get embarrassed about. This is what I like about Super Sentai in general, moments like this. I think Zenkaiger could have done with more moments like this but I know they're not everyone's cup of tea, so I understand no Sentai can be like this all the way through. But I agree, episode 37 was the highlight of the season.
The review section of this video was spot on! The Tojitendo (with the 180-degree exception of Stacey) was bland, the anniversary and individual show elements are extremely well balanced, and I wholeheartedly underestimated Kaito when I saw him episode one as, "another loud mindless obnoxious leader". Then, when you talked about how much and what Magine meant to you, it unlocked something for me I never even thought about. We all have that something we are proud of but are afraid to share with others. That is until we find a community to talk about it with! For me, that is also toku and now I am more confident to share it because of social media (specifically Tik Tok). Thinking about it for a bit right now, that is why I like and follow so many toku characters. They are just good-hearted people who want to do right in their community and strive to do their best! So thank you for both creating this video expressing your love for toku and cultivating a community where we all feel free to share our love for it as well!
this is not just a Super Sentai themed season. it is a Tokusatsu Celebration, from the Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes and Sentai designs, we can also see Kaiju(Zenkaijuuoh) and Ultraman (Zenkaiser becoming Giant sometimes)
I rmb in the super hero senki" interview" the zenkaiger made a pun of magine and ohma zio, stating that ohma zio sound like her name And they gave magine a nickname "oh magine o" (also technically she the most broken character due to her ridiculous yet cute magic power )
I see Zyuran the same way you feel about magine, i just loved how great he was and even if he wasn't the highlight of the episode he was still in the background doing fun stuff idk zenkaiger was a really special Sentai series, it's my absolute favorite now
Man, Zenkaiger is just so good. i've haven't watched sentai since kyoryuger. i Love all the things about the series, like the design, character, and story. and yeah maybe there's some things that are bad but it never outshine the good that the show has.
The whole Magine bit of this video had me agree to basically all your reasons for simping her. Absolutely the best character in the show, and even beat Raptor from Kyuranger as my favorite Sentai character.
I really loved watching your review!! Zenkaiger is actually the first Tokusatsu series I ever watched and I really enjoyed everything about it! And your love for Magine was so wholesome 🥺 You talking about her made me like her even more! The reason why I started watching Zenkaiger is actually because I knew of Stacy's actor beforehand lol. So when he announced that he was going to be Stacy I thought "oh well I'm probably just going to watch a few eps of the show, I might not get into it" and boy was I wrong!😂 Stacy ended up being my favorite and I can't describe enough how much I loved seeing him grow as a character. Watching this show every week made me go through so many emotions but I loved how fun it was and I like to rewatch eps from time to time too. The bodyswap ep is definitely one of my favs😂 but I'm really glad that Zenkaiger was my introduction to Tokusatsu, I'll try to watch more series now😌
Thank you for sharing this! It’s really cool to hear that the show can be enjoyable even as someone’s first show in the genre! I hope you’ll enjoy whatever you watch next!
Bro you spend 10 minutes talking about Magine...Thank you so much, i also love Magine and you put in words all te things i like in her, SHE IS SO FREACKING CUTE
This is one more reason why I always feel a kid or in my youth again whenever I can watch any super sentai series. Because the franchise is able to cater to every fans from the beginning to the present day as well as covey some very mature messages to the audience. Unlike the US shows who can only separate into age group or analysis what the general audience like. Hollywood cannot seem to understand why us tokusatsu/anime manga fans will always prefer stuff from Japan over any shows that on US tv, cinema nowadays.
I think what I really like about Zenkaiger are the Kikainoid members of the team. They somewhat remind me of Ryotaro's Imajin in Kamen Rider Den-O. The Kikainoids have so much personality and quirks that are so fun to watch (Magine really is adorable) Props to the voice actors and suit actors that bring them to life.
Zenkaiger is the goofiest Sentai I've seen since Carranger, and even as someone who's not a huge Sentai guy it's absolutely glorious, definitely top 5. Personally I can relate to your feelings about Magine, as I personally have a similar story about Kotoha from Shinkenger. I'm really timid, and often joke about my confidence and anxiety to the point where about %80 of my humor is self deprecation, and I generally didn't really to show this in school or anything to not worry anybody, I remember watching Shinkenger... I believe episode 6 or 7, hearing Kotoha talk about how when she had to substitute for her sister as a Shinkenger and how she felt like had to be brave no matter how clumsy or insecure she is about herself, and in her words "keep smiling" as to not worry or let down her sister. As cheesy as it sounds, I've never wanted to literally reach through my screen and hug a character before or after seeing that. Kotoha is also really cute, has a great ranger design, and an amazing and really cheery theme song (IMO). Sadly however I can't play the flute like her:(
While Zenkaiger will never be in my top 5, I can say with confidence that It marked me. It wasn't perfect, I even dropped it for a few weeks, but in the end, I'm happy it was the first sentai I watched weekly, because It was one of the few things which kept me excited during these dark times. Goodbye, Zenkaiger. I hope to see you again.
"NOOO OUR RIDER IS STRONGEST AND HE CAN BECOME OTEHR RIDERS!" "Secret power! Zenkaiser!" Zenkaiger is so funny yet serious,it decision to not involve any previous character makes it have more freedom on story writing(yeah you Zio, glorified ooc),and even at final episodes, it's more heart-warming and enjoyable Oma zio's debut feels like a kid enraged, meanwhile Kaito and his dudes final roll call actually feels like hero assembling to fight a threat even without their powers Zenkaiger is already in my heart's hall of fame along with Mebius at anniversary show
Zenkaiger definitely wasn’t my favorite cuz of personal preferences, but it’s definitely not the worst to me. I’ve been watching sentai since toqger, and from then till now, I’ll say that Kiramager is still my favorite sentai.
I really hope that one day you will be able to meet/collaborate with Ms. Sachika Nitta, Ayumi Shimazono and Yume Miyamoto. That whole section for Magine is wholesome.
Big thanks for this vid. I spent the last year reading comments and asking "are these people and I watching the same show?!" It appears you and I were, in fact, watching the same show, haha. Zenkaiger forever!
While I normally hold the Blue in high regard... I'm gonna have to stamp a big old Pink Sentai stamp on this season! Magine stole the show for me, I felt like I related to her character in a strange introverted sort of way. When that Yellow puss talked shit about her hobby... What she did was just amazing! Chewing him out in a "WTF did you just say to me you little B***h!!?" That made me giggle!
I really liked this review! I initially got back into tokusatsu/Sentai in 2016 when Zyuohger was airing because I'm a major Precure fan and wanted to try it's brother shows out and then I kinda just... fell out because I was still in high school and really busy. Only until this year, I decided to really get into toku fullforce again and Zenkaiger & Revice were my real first introductions. Zenkaiger was at ep45 when I started, and I ended up watching everything to that point in like 2 weeks. I really was interested in the premise & ofc Stacey, Magine & Flint were the biggest reasons for me to get into it but I came out loving this season in its entirety despite its flaws and issues. It really has a special place in my heart now as my first Sentai/finished Sentai and now I'm watching Zyuohger, Kiramager, Ryusoulger, ToQger, Kyuranger & ofc Donbrothers. I feel like if Toku fans meet me tho they might think I'm cringe for loving Zenkaiger as much as I do 😅😅 but it's my first, and the most special to me for that alone so I'll love it the rest of my life. Not Sentai, but Sakura from Revice is the tokusatsu character I currently connect really hard with in like every aspect so seeing that others like yourself with Magine have this special connection with a character from toku is really heartwarming and feels very sweet. I'm really glad Zenkaiger was my real introduction to Sentai & toku in general because now I have something to escape reality with and get lost in fun worlds. Zenryoku Zenkai Nununuforever ⚙🌈💕
Zenkaiger brought me back into loving tokusatsu. I don't need everything be dark and gritty. Zenkaiger is the first tokusatsu where I was laughing so much. The magnet world episode has to be the funniest episode in tokusatsu. I feel the same as you when people say a negative about the show that doesn't make sense, like the plot point you pointed out. I just go "are we watching the same show?" The character development in this series was so good. Kaito is the first main character I enjoyed in years. He wasn't annoying or overly super human. Kaito was great and his development was so dope. Zox was great and Stacey's acting was great like when he cried at the end to Yachan I felt it. The characters make the show and it's what made me tune in each week.
@@krdecade47 That has to be the funniest episode ever. I was genuinely belly laughing. A tokusatsu show has never made me laugh as hard as Zenkaiger has. I appreciate that show so much because of that.
I was here trying to watch a review video but instead got a tribute for Magine... NGL, I do understand why people simp her. I mean I simp her too myself! So thumbs up to you for having to finish this video tribute of our best girl 4ever, Magine!
I don’t regret stoping to watch zenkaiger over go busters. Second time watch throughs are sometimes good and bad and this time it is more positive than my original thoughts
I think the biggest reason as to why Zenkaiger felt like it was all filler is because, on a weekly basis, the story felt like it was moving at such a snails pace because we were wondering where the hell is the story going. Was Kaito gonna find his mom or were we eventually just gonna deal with another random world that has nothing to do with the story. Sentai series like Shinkenger felt more like stories that were progressing because each episode, while episodic for the most part, still had good amounts of character focus while revealing bits of a characters past, likes, quirks and more, while Zenkaiger didn’t really delve more into any of the Kikainoids past. We never learned where Zyurans love for animals came from through him talking about his past, little character moments like that were SERIOUSLY missing from the show. I really enjoyed Zenkaiger, it was random as hell in all the best ways, but the reason most disregard Zenkaigers is the fact that this story feels like it’s going nowhere, the examples you gave highlight the story never forgets the points it brings up. But remember, we never got to see that moment happened until way later into the series heard the 2/3rd mark.
Thanks, I cried midway the video. It just reminded me of how much I loved this series, how every week I was shaking in excitement waiting the Revice episode to end. This season made me love sentai, it’s all I wanted to see in a show, complex characters balanced with comedy and wholesomeness, good acting, a charisma overflow even from background characters like Mr Su. The same love you have for Magine it’s what I have for Stacy. I really don’t get the criticism that he did nothing. I completely understand his fear of joining Kaito, of disappointing someone you love, that the Zenkaigers won’t be enough to destroy the empire, the possibility of ending up abandoned by both sides. Barashitara not only killed his mother but also hundreds of siblings as stated in their last battle. All I wanted was to see him have an ice cream without feeling like a war criminal. As for god, I loved the unexpected! It didn’t end like your regular sentai where the villain dies and it’s all happy forever. It wasn’t the best thing in the world but it made it stand out and be ICONIC Really controversial take but I’m at the start of Gokaiger and it feels like just a bunch of cameos overshadowing the rest of it. Zenkaiger gave us a beautiful consistent and independent story with sprinkles of nostalgia on top. But that’s not what some people want. (Edit: maybe the fans just ruined gokaiger for me)
I feel like zenkaiger is the perfect example of lack of character arc doesn't equal bad characters. Like, none of the characters besides Gaon and Stacey really grew throughout the show or even have an arc, and they all stayed the same happy go lucky Kaito, team dad Juran, shy but hotblooded Magine, but that's okay. They were fun, they helped the other characters who do have arcs grow, and they shine when the spotlight is on them. Sure, character development isn't bad, but they don't need it. They're fine just the way they are
This was a great video and the way you described how much Magine means to you was really similar to how I feel about Daishinji/Kamen Rider Slash from KR Saber He’s also this quiet, reserved character who most of the time doesn’t even look people in the eye when talking to them, but then you see how passionate he is about swordsmithing and how energetic he gets during battles. But the best thing about this is that all the other characters don’t think any less of him and they still accept him the way he is unequivocally, whereas in most other media these character traits would be seen as a flaw that needs fixing or is used as the source of ridicule (“cough” the big bang theory “cough”) I really see a lot of myself in Daishinji as this shy, awkward autistic guy who spends too much of his free time watching japanese children’s shows, so to see him be as accepted and respected as he is by his peers despite his quirks means so much to me.
OK, I am starting to warm up to Magine a lot more. Just because of this season review. Some people just can’t really resist acting like pigs when it comes to snacks.
The origins of a simp. This shall be amusing. But seriously, all jokes aside, an amazing video you’ve made Sir Thomas, even if I did end up spoiling a lot about Zenkaiger for myself (eh, whatever. It won’t affect me too much). To be able to turn something as simple as an admiration or attraction of a show into something that sounds deeper in one’s own context is content I never really get tired of seeing. As a toku weeaboo myself, it feels all the more triumphant.
This is why I love tokusatsu and will it to very end will not stop intil find toku fan In real life I'm gonna go zenkoko zenkai to the max follow my dream thank you Thomas for being awesome
When you do your Sentai Potential vid, use my and TH-camr G_O_B_L_I_N’s ideas of waiting until all the other seasons are adapted, having all the action figures also the the mechas, and establish all the Pre-Zyuranger sentai as older versions of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
My dream team of super sentai would be captain marvelous, and Zenkai Magine, and any other ranger or sentai character that is obsessed with snacks. Like Ryusoul pink for example.
Great video! Last time I watched a sentai show was either toqger or the koryuger. You make me want to watch this season just for showing how fun this look and how one of the rangers is based off magiranger which is my favorite season! Where would I watch this online ? Keep up the great work :)
I think the one thing i didnt like about zenkaiger aesthetics was the teams color scheme lacking black or green, making the whole team mostly warm colors.
I have this theory the reason 4 of the members are “robots” is because is difficult to schedule complete old teams for specials, while voice actors can have scattered schedules even if they cannot coincide for different reasons, so they have to only work around Kaito’s actor schedule. Plus, in 4 years is half a century of Sentai and, maybe, we’ll having 5 years of sequels of Zenkaiger in one way or another. Maybe. All I’m saying is, half a century of Sentai is a milestone and they might be preparing something.
Someone on one of Japhamine videos said it well on how I feel about Zenkaiger. I like it but at the "base level of liking a sentai show." It starts of Strong but it kinda feel flat for me in its second half
As awesome as the devs did with the callbacks in Zenkaiger, in some ways, though, I also can't help but feel like they kinda shot themselves in the foot with the abundance of reference to all kinds of Super Sentai media since Zenkaiger is the 45th anniversary of the franchise, and it just makes you wonder how on EARTH are they going to top this for the 50TH anniversary season of Sentai since the franchise will be around for a half-century at that point, and the crew are REALLY going to have to think harder than they ever have before in order to outdo Zenkaiger, and Gokaiger for the 50th anniversary season? Hopefully they've already started out ideas, blueprints, plans and such immediately after Zenkaiger's conclusion so they can prepare for Season 50, and TRY to beat the previous 2 amazing anniversary seasons! And hey, even if they don't, I'm sure it'll at least be a LOT better than Zyuohger.
My favorite line was the copycat rollcall 😃 My additional detail was they should make some new armor and weapons, plus staecaesar had a less storyline Next year jujube can you review avataro sentai
This is for the Magine fanboys who would rather simp her than simp an anime girl like most normal people would Magine time stamps: 2:36 (Hi Magine) 3:48 (Hi Magine: Again…..) 8:27 (Hi Magine: Once more) 14:34 (Hi Magine: Uwuuuuuuuu…. I’m not doing this) 20:02 (Hi oh thank god) That’s it I’m not doing anymore
Thoma's future girlfriend/wife: did you love a girl before me? Thomas: a robot called Magine that exists within a kid's show. Thoma's future girlfriend/wife: dress up as Magine for Halloween.
I understood every ranger in Zenkaiger except for the Magiranger one- I mean each member represents a major theme in Sentai: 1. Gao(Animal Sentai): Gaoranger, Jetman, Zyuohger, Dairanger, Sun Vulcan, etc 2. Zyuran(Dino Sentai): Zyuranger, Abaranger, Kyoryuger, Ryusoulger 3. Vroom(Vehicle Sentai): Turboranger, Carranger, Boukenger, Go-Onger, ToQger, Kirameiger Instead of Magic based Sentais, why not Ninja based? We had Kakuranger, Hurricanger, and Ninninger.
2:50, aw yes...I remember on Twitter. 4:26, ah yes, the premiere episode where it mirrors both Kakuranger and Ohranger's premiere as well as other select Sentai I can't think of where less than 5 Sentai members were introed. 5:00, I agree, man. Junko...has quite a problem when it comes to the pacing. See my review of her supposed writing style here: facebook.com/zzduhdark/posts/pfbid02tzRA6uq5AjTXAtpBQtmLGEHFfeexVWcHBx1cchXPUj4SULzLpyA5o2oiQHoRfTRTl 5:40, I think we both agree the first 14 eps shoulda been more focused on the core Zenkaigers. I mean Vroom only have like 2 ep to himself. X_X 6:03, yeah, my bro did talk about this and yup...such a big prob. 7:05, my problem is just that they're just there like Rita and Lord Zedd in the majority of Season 1 and the first half of Season 2 of MMPR. They just sit around. 7:27, I woulda liked if Cannon Top used some of the Tojigears and decided to fight on his own but gets worn out due to the powers of said gears. That woulda been more interesting imo. 9:53, speaking of which..he reminds me a lot of Armada Starscream tbh tho the twist is that I'm glad Stacey didn't bite the dust but Armada Screamer.... 11:01, reminds me a lot of the Dragontron from Power Rangers Time Force...you know the one and fitting considering the mech that offed it: th-cam.com/video/iJyktt8AgOE/w-d-xo.html 11:46, I second that tbh. 14:34, hello Megatron. 15:33, oh...uh, never thought about that. 16:12, the bodyswap episode possibly be the best since we get to see a little nugget of how awful Kikaitopia is since we only saw a few minutes of it in some episodes including the Retro episode to name one of the good things in the episode. 17:26, th-cam.com/video/la4kqBPFYFQ/w-d-xo.html 18:18, that one..I do enjoy how each episode after the first 5 see that the world of Neo Kikai Tokyo as I call it, Kikainoids and humans just get along fine while also welcoming the Zenkaigers as their heroes and thankful citizens I would say unlike most other media like Marvel and DC including Dreamland from the Kirby cartoon where the citizens would be quick to find fault at their heroes when they shoulda known someone else was behind it. 18:52, he's the best Sentai lead we have next to Juuru and maybe Yamato from Zyuohger and Kairi and Keiichiro from LvP. If there's anything Junko did pretty well, she manages to give the main hero dude a great balance being smart and thinking but also goofy and out-going. I enjoy his character more than Kengo Manaka from Trigger and Tomato from KR Saber. 19:13, not to mention he basically told Zoxx off when he first debuted not to steal from Kaito's world as well as that one time Zoxx had an idea to lure out Hakaizer with a captured World monster by torturing HIM and his crew would follow suit (something I never thought 6th rangers would never do again since Abarekiller and Time Fire shenanigans) which Kaito did NOT take lightly to after the Zenkainoids snitched to Kaito about the whole thing. 19:24, I love this dude. One of the best 6th rangers imo since he's basically everything what a 6th ranger is but more. He's the captain of his own Sentai team to put it right and would die on a hill protecting them while also upholding their own morals. 20:16, Gaon/Back Arrow put himself on the line during that beatdown...I was expecting a slap or a punch but a beatdown by the very ppl he adores and the same race he abhored but also being brainwashed as bulls tearing his ass down....that's overkill. 24:59, a dragon that is partnered with a T-rex? That would NEVER happen in 1994. Hehehe. 'MMPR Season 2 looms' 25:12, hey, love is still love. :) At the end of the day, I wished Zenkaiger had more story but the characters are just fun to be around. If it were a diff. writer, I wouldn't think we'll have the same guys we have but furthermore, seeing Zenkaiser as a change in ep. 1 by DonMomotaro makes me realize how much fun and laughter this show brought when I had the worst of days. Saraba, Zenkaiger. Till we meet again.
Armada Starscream died not as a Decepticon, but as a Transformer. And Optimus didn't fight Megatron as the leader of Autobots, but as a Transformer (the latter is Japanese only).
thomasjujube Oof. I can see why. You know, Magine has a lot in common with me too. I would like to meet the voice actor, and the two suit actors at PMC, as well as the rest of the Zenkaiger team. I didn’t really think much of Magine either at the start of the series. Also, I prefer the JuraGaon/JuraMagine combos.

You know, until you talked about the pre-history, I never realised the similarities between the designs of zenkaiser and kamen rider mach
i remember when a pic of zenkaiser was released, someone put a png of dragonranger’s dragon shield on a pic of kamen rider mach
Honestly, when it first started coming out. I was just starting as a Tokutatsu viewer and only watched Ultraman and Kamen Rider so far . When I saw a screenshot I honestly thought it was a Super Hero Taisen and Mach made an appearance XD
The fact that thomas gave majin her own sigmet and talked about her and his love story is pretty wholesome so thomasjujube you go bro magine is all your you earned it
It was honestly so wholesome
Magine is beautiful...
U can hear it in his voice
The Akibaranger cameo in the movie still honestly blows my mind. I always love when they have conversations during the mech combination scenes.
THEY OFFICIALIZED THE UNOFFICIAL SENTAI
This video has gotten my attention and I am happy to see there is a new pink ranger that is really pretty, hopefully I get to watching this show. Magine looks so cute and girly 🥰😍
I like how all three humans have an element of family as their core motivation of their character.
Kaito was childish to keep his grandmother a little happy.
Zox had to become an adult to protect his family and tradition
Stacey lost his mom and has an abusive dad.
@@BlobFishSucksAtThingsdid you watch the show even
I totally understand how you connect to Magine, it’s very similar to how I feel about Juuru from Kiramaiger.
I feel like they've wasted the chance of having Zenkai Red being intiated into Zenkaiger's official 6th member, and how he could be assigned to pilot ZenkaiOh VrooMagine whereas Kaito usually piloted the JuraGaon.
Even so, it's still a good show. ;)
That's because Gaon already represents all non-dino animal themed sentais by himself, and Zyuohger got an Alter mech in Donbrothers anyways
I can feel the huge feelings in that "She's my hero"
@Moustapha Mbodji 2 J'ai bcp aimé, un solide 15/20
Par contre, nan je ne pense pas que ce sera adapté
28:37 this part is the most sweet thing i ever heard😢😢
this is not just a Super Sentai themed season. it is a Tokusatsu Celebration, from the Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes and Sentai designs, we can also see Kaiju(Zenkaijuuoh) and Ultraman (Zenkaiser becoming Giant sometimes)
yeah!
Actually every roll call is very unique, if you also count adding new members to the roll call as a unique one
This show didn’t need more unique roll calls they needed actual character development, plot development and more use of the Sentai gears.
@@byvtctcrchcucud2604 we did get character and plot development
@@tykamen5588 probably one of those people who complains filler every episode.
I rmb in the super hero senki" interview" the zenkaiger made a pun of magine and ohma zio, stating that ohma zio sound like her name
And they gave magine a nickname
"oh magine o"
(also technically she the most broken character due to her ridiculous yet cute magic power )
I am indeed the retainer of OhMagine
I love zenkaiger so much I laughed so hard on so many episodes it was such a good season I cant wait for what don brothers has to offer
I see Zyuran the same way you feel about magine, i just loved how great he was and even if he wasn't the highlight of the episode he was still in the background doing fun stuff
idk zenkaiger was a really special Sentai series, it's my absolute favorite now
Bro im literally just screenshot him on 90% Juran on his existance (in the series, Interview, Movie, Poster, BTS) he just really charming.
Man, Zenkaiger is just so good. i've haven't watched sentai since kyoryuger. i Love all the things about the series, like the design, character, and story. and yeah maybe there's some things that are bad but it never outshine the good that the show has.
Ever since Zenkaiger happened, Magine has been my new favourite ranger in sentai history, no one can deny me that
The whole Magine bit of this video had me agree to basically all your reasons for simping her. Absolutely the best character in the show, and even beat Raptor from Kyuranger as my favorite Sentai character.
Zenkaiger has also become one of my favorite sentai seasons. I honestly am gonna try to find a dvd of it that doesn't have problems with region.
One word : Magine
Who knew Magiking would make such a cute waifu
I wonder when would I find my waifu
"NOOO OUR RIDER IS STRONGEST AND HE CAN BECOME OTEHR RIDERS!"
"Secret power! Zenkaiser!"
Zenkaiger is so funny yet serious,it decision to not involve any previous character makes it have more freedom on story writing(yeah you Zio, glorified ooc),and even at final episodes, it's more heart-warming and enjoyable
Oma zio's debut feels like a kid enraged, meanwhile Kaito and his dudes final roll call actually feels like hero assembling to fight a threat even without their powers
Zenkaiger is already in my heart's hall of fame along with Mebius at anniversary show
Give this man a fan art he deserves it
Zenkaiger definitely wasn’t my favorite cuz of personal preferences, but it’s definitely not the worst to me.
This was the first Sentai season I saw all the way through.
What a place to start.
Hi, Magine.
Hi Magine Counter: 8
I just go "are we watching the same show?"
The character development in this series was so good. Kaito is the first main character I enjoyed in years. He wasn't annoying or overly super human. Kaito was great and his development was so dope. Zox was great and Stacey's acting was great like when he cried at the end to Yachan I felt it. The characters make the show and it's what made me tune in each week.
I literally just got done watching the magnet episode and I was in tears😂 great show
Can agree with. 100%
@@krdecade47 That has to be the funniest episode ever. I was genuinely belly laughing. A tokusatsu show has never made me laugh as hard as Zenkaiger has. I appreciate that show so much because of that.
This is a magine review and I’m 100% here for it she was funny from a the few eps I’ve watched
I'm going to give this series watch I haven't watched Super Sentai in awhile but this series caught my interest
I was here trying to watch a review video but instead got a tribute for Magine...
NGL, I do understand why people simp her. I mean I simp her too myself!
So thumbs up to you for having to finish this video tribute of our best girl 4ever, Magine!
When I saw this in my youtube feed and how long it was, I expected either, the Magine repeated for half an hour or the life story of Magine. =P
I don’t regret stoping to watch zenkaiger over go busters. Second time watch throughs are sometimes good and bad and this time it is more positive than my original thoughts
I’m now hoping magine even if just her mecha form shows up in donbrothers just because I know you would be happy to see it.
It wasn’t the best thing in the world but it made it stand out and be ICONIC
Really controversial take but I’m at the start of Gokaiger and it feels like just a bunch of cameos overshadowing the rest of it.
They're fine just the way they are
We can't forget uncle ruckus gaon
This was a great video and the way you described how much Magine means to you was really similar to how I feel about Daishinji/Kamen Rider Slash from KR Saber
He’s also this quiet, reserved character who most of the time doesn’t even look people in the eye when talking to them, but then you see how passionate he is about swordsmithing and how energetic he gets during battles. But the best thing about this is that all the other characters don’t think any less of him and they still accept him the way he is unequivocally, whereas in most other media these character traits would be seen as a flaw that needs fixing or is used as the source of ridicule (“cough” the big bang theory “cough”)
I really see a lot of myself in Daishinji as this shy, awkward autistic guy who spends too much of his free time watching japanese children’s shows, so to see him be as accepted and respected as he is by his peers despite his quirks means so much to me.
The major thing I like is just because it fun.
I can assume why it like that, because of the current pandemic.
Gokaiger is still my favorite anniversary season
i think Zenkaiger was mean to be fun season
This is why I love tokusatsu and will it to very end will not stop intil find toku fan In real life I'm gonna go zenkoko zenkai to the max follow my dream thank you Thomas for being awesome
Like I feel the exact same about Magine. She has been my phones wallpaper since the debut pretty much. She's just a little dork and it's adorable.
Magine gave me flashback from my childhood with Medabots.
You just made me put Zenkaiger on the list to watch
A fellow Magine fan. She really is best girl.
Can’t wait for the sentai potential episode for this show
The logo is brilliant: the kana for Zenkaiger/Zenkaijaa makes sure "ka" is dead centre.
The kana for ka is also the kanji for chikara - strength.
I think the one thing i didnt like about zenkaiger aesthetics was the teams color scheme lacking black or green, making the whole team mostly warm colors.
YOU ACTUALLY MADE THAT THE THUMBNAIL I SWEAR TO GOD
You know that thomas is being real when he gives a full segment for a single character
Dammit you’ve convinced me to watch zenkaiger now and then finish busters afterwards
Highly recommended
@@chendror872 i already finished zenkaiger currently watching Lupat
i love Zenkaiger and simp for magine too
ok, more than enough reason to sub to your channel
Juran isn’t the first red ranger not to take center stage of the team pose. That goes to Spade Ace in JAKQ.
my summary on zenkaiger is just literally super sentai speedrun
13:15 the actor who played human Zyuran is the same guy from Ultraman Trigger
And hey, even if they don't, I'm sure it'll at least be a LOT better than Zyuohger.
im happy i found your channel!
Welcome!!

Zenkaiger was an awesome season, and I totally get you simping for Magine.
My favorite line was the copycat rollcall 😃
My additional detail was they should make some new armor and weapons, plus staecaesar had a less storyline
Next year jujube can you review avataro sentai
So if I understand correctly, Thomas watched SSSS Gridman mostly cause Rikka was voiced by Yume Miyamoto?
I can respect that

I understood every ranger in Zenkaiger except for the Magiranger one-
I mean each member represents a major theme in Sentai:
1. Gao(Animal Sentai): Gaoranger, Jetman, Zyuohger, Dairanger, Sun Vulcan, etc
2. Zyuran(Dino Sentai): Zyuranger, Abaranger, Kyoryuger, Ryusoulger
3. Vroom(Vehicle Sentai): Turboranger, Carranger, Boukenger, Go-Onger, ToQger, Kirameiger
Instead of Magic based Sentais, why not Ninja based? We had Kakuranger, Hurricanger, and Ninninger.
Brooooooooo, Magine is always like a sister to me
I also love Zenkaiger
2:50, aw yes...I remember on Twitter.
4:26, ah yes, the premiere episode where it mirrors both Kakuranger and Ohranger's premiere as well as other select Sentai I can't think of where less than 5 Sentai members were introed.
5:00, I agree, man. Junko...has quite a problem when it comes to the pacing. See my review of her supposed writing style here: facebook.com/zzduhdark/posts/pfbid02tzRA6uq5AjTXAtpBQtmLGEHFfeexVWcHBx1cchXPUj4SULzLpyA5o2oiQHoRfTRTl
5:40, I think we both agree the first 14 eps shoulda been more focused on the core Zenkaigers. I mean Vroom only have like 2 ep to himself. X_X
6:03, yeah, my bro did talk about this and yup...such a big prob.
11:01, reminds me a lot of the Dragontron from Power Rangers Time Force...you know the one and fitting considering the mech that offed it: th-cam.com/video/iJyktt8AgOE/w-d-xo.html
11:46, I second that tbh.
17:26, th-cam.com/video/la4kqBPFYFQ/w-d-xo.html
18:18, that one..I do enjoy how each episode after the first 5 see that the world of Neo Kikai Tokyo as I call it, Kikainoids and humans just get along fine while also welcoming the Zenkaigers as their heroes and thankful citizens I would say unlike most other media like Marvel and DC including Dreamland from the Kirby cartoon where the citizens would be quick to find fault at their heroes when they shoulda known someone else was behind it.
Hehehe. 'MMPR Season 2 looms'
25:12, hey, love is still love. :)
At the end of the day, I wished Zenkaiger had more story but the characters are just fun to be around.
Man I thought I was the only one who simps for Magine
FYI Magine has Gravure photobook :3
Hahahhaa am laughing at the Kamen Rider mention that's what I noticed too at the first ep
One reason: Magine 💖💖💖
Ahh, so I'm not the only big Magine fan around here =w=
So, we are getting a memorial edition gearTlinger? Cool.
We are not. That was why it was not pictured and I said I was sad
thomasjujube Oof.
