Massive record label at the time, Production House brought out some of the best tunes, this was played to death and usually found its way into my mix tapes.
Absolutely love this tune. Really take’s me back to those sunrise’s when everything in the world just didn’t matter only you dancing with hundreds of other people 😀😛😵💫😎😴
Banger from back in the day, 50 & still rave around my flat, hardcore will never die, 88-92 were the best years ever for music, these ravers these days will never understand true raving from them days, pure love & harmony & unity, all night long, none of this violence now in raves & finishing by 2, when I look at these youngers now, I just laugh, remembering these quality times of my teens & still loving these tunes, they will never get boring, like most of the music from these days
Im 24 , been putting on raves since 17, many of them 6 till 10 the next day, the nutty ones are still about just got to go find them, commercial raves have no choice most finish at 2 or 4 due to licensing.
Liked it then, like it now, i was 16 in 86 stated with the acid and saw it through to around 95-96 when kids and boredom set in. These tunes remind me of a time when it wasn't about being commercial and mainstream it was more about having a fucking good time and if you could get away with it having it for free in a bloody big warehouse. Oi Oi to me old school breadbins and you young uns who know the score.
Yeah boy....this is what I'm talking about! I remember raving to this in '92. That was my first summer raving well underage....14 going on 15 (and still ain't stopped)! Got this on vinyl as well. It's an absolute nutty monster of a hardcore riddim! Most people love the chilled out break downs, but it's the nutty bollocks rave riffs that start at 1:29 and 3:46 with the sub underneath that always used to (and still do) get me going! Badbwoy tune!
First heard this on a Bridlington Rave tape. Alongside Acen's 'here comes the sun' version of Overdose. I played this to my sister's mate when I was 12 back in 92. I hyped it up so much she was crying when that 2:24 riff came in haha
what a tune used to be a podium dancer, for a few raves back in the day, used to love it,miss it big time, the atmoshere was amazing! this tune reminds me of the astoria london n chalky white would mc,wicked days :)
Same here but I am 31!! Was just a few years too young at the time and REALLY wish I could have been there. I have loved this stuff since I was 14 or so :D
fckin wicked tune!! got hairs on back of neck tingling hearing that again! remember this at Fantazia Summetime durring Easygroove's set. happy days! :-)
10 suckers who cannot emmcee... And I refuse to backdown on this comment..I won't start rocking......??? I wont stop rocking!!!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uhhhh ohhhhhh ;)
2:24 always did it for me. Does anyone know what's going on there? What's the vocal sample? The riffs there are crazy too.. were they sampled or just played? So fucking good.
Remember seeing production house showcase at the paradise.dms, house crew and baby d. And a pal disappeared for a while. When then found him and he said he'd been getting hold of baby. D. He told a good story. But did he. I guess we'll never know. 😅
Yep DMS the king of rock top tune i also remember this in Astoria and buzz bees ... And chalky white who chilled out with me a few times back in the day ... Be nice to take a trip back in time :)
Who knows where the sped up vocal sample comes from? 30 years later n now l wanna know. If l had the vinyl I’d wheel it round slow n have a chance of knowing, like. Prob from some Electro track me reckons
I've been trying to find an old skool track for decades - it uses all of the arpeggio you hear snippets of in this track (starts at 2.26 and repeats on the beat) it seems like this track sampled those few arp notes from the one I'm looking for. Can anyone help??
@@xCRIMINALMINDSx Yeah, I'm hoping to head to it, it looks heavy! I went to the last Moondance, but heard the same riddims that always get dropped there. Hopefully at Orange they'll have a proper dig in the crates! Rage is on at Heaven on Sunday....the last one was *wicked* ....I can't go this time though...heading Groove Armada.
Just put this on, and came across these old posts! Orange are going back 'home' to Camden Palace in June for a day rave. Going with a few pals, it should be live!
@thetubewithin yep, victim of being young here too, although i'm thinking of getting becoming a dj because i would love to play stuff like this now days
It's all about the breakdown at 2:23 (and when it comes back at 5:08). The rest of this track does nothing for me, then or now. That breakdown though is one the all time classics!
The lyrics are highly appropriate for us 50 y/olds now. Sorted.
Were You From, What's Yer Name, What You Had , Shorted m8

Love the break all the way through this one of my favourites - KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND - LET IT GO 👍
