Always makes me laugh how people get hung up on guitar body styles when it's really all about the electronics and you could use a 2 x 4 assuming you know what your doing. As looks to, this is pure craftsmanship and two thumbs up. Saw Justin Johnson, with a 3 string garden spade type shovel guitar and made my own, $400.00 for the idea he got from someone who never even got credit is criminal,. Made my own for about $150.00 including drill bits, shovel, tuners, strings and hardware.
I love the woodwork and concept. The volume and tone controls need to be somewhere else, easier for the player to use, also the selector switch. Maybe an acrylic insert on the bottom to put all the v/t/selector switch onto? Route the edge on the top of the bottom part, cut the acrylic piece to fit on top, then put the v/t in the typical place, and the selector switch at the front near the hook. Just an idea. Really cool look and work, though!
You are correct ,it looks like a piece of art but in the sound clip it sounded like shit. If there is to be any improvements it should be in the sound department
With the BEAUTIFUL Multi-lam NECK, you might try a THRU-NECK next time, making it REALLY FUTURISTIC-looking! NICE TOOLS, SHOP, CNC, PLANER, etc. TOO! What was the final WEIGHT of this thing in the end? Nice craftsmanship....reminded me of the 80's YAMAHA SBG's and ARIA Neck-thrus of that era. But the way you did the CONTROLS was really INNOVATIVE!!! If the body and neck had a slightly different SHAPE (more like an SG say) this could be easily MADE into a LEFTY OR RIGHTY, depending on the player! Cool design trick, that.
Truss rod installation not shown, is there one? Raising/lowering pickups possible? Unable to see neck finish, finish out of frets missing. What does this guitar weigh? Les Pauls are heavy, preventing many from buying them. If this weighs more than a “regular’ one, that will be a consideration. The tone & volume controls look unconventional, but I bet they are just fine. One comment about lack of sustain is legitimate, but the video doesn’t really answer that one way or the other. Cosmetically, this is a beautiful piece of work. Congratulations!
It's a beautiful guitar, absolutely love the wood choices...was wondering if there was a reason you didn't use any shielding tape...it really is spectacular...
Dude... what a fantastic job!!! And if this is your first... pheew... I can't even imagine the fifth or tenth! 🤯 Just a little detail with the title that sounds a little odd to me... because I don't think wood looks very futuristic... I would say it's more like modern... I... think... But hey, I'm not a guitar builder so obviously my opinion doesn't even count for anything.😅 Again, awesome build bro! Can't wait to see more of your works! Regards!!
Well made but I don’t trust that CA glue for the sides knowing that if it falls over that glue up might fail but non taken from ur guitar it’s perfectly made and that outer coat might even save my opinion on the glue up
One of the most strange projects in engineering aspects, time to time unlogical, such as bolt-on joint already glued-in neck. Or tone-control and wiring, etc. But, at the same time its interesting project 🤝
Thats great....a good plan would be to make the middle layer out of epoxy mixed with glow in the dark powder....so that guitars middle part ll glow in the absolute darkness like a led light...
Better choices, glued in neck, put wire routing holes in as you build the body up, put the four pots on the bottom and the selector switch in the gap on top where the les paul switch position is on nearly all their high end guitars. Ultimately though, I can just buy an RKS, oh hang on, I did.
Cosmeticly it looks great...functionality wise idk...the knows are in awkward places and the swit h to me would at least make more sense going left to right than front to back I think using an actual guitar next would have been a good call...don't get me wrong it looks great but the frets need shaved and the neck really needs to be able to be adjusted...also try some shims between the neck n body...just a piece of paper boutvthe size of a match width n put it on the pickup side of the body/ neck on the pickup side of the screws...kinda helps move the neck a Lil if the strings need lowered...other than that...taking it in to fine tune would be a great next step...they can dial it in...but it's freaking sharp man...great job it's beautiful
@Cubemoon the craftsman ship is beautiful ...seriously...ik it seems like I was being kind of harsh...believe me...love the look of it...if those issues were worked out...I'd buy that guitar in a heartbeat...but those are things that people that really play would notice n I imagine your not just doing it for fun...my comment was truly to help you grow...fr...I'm a fan of your work for sure...
Guitar is nice, but your forstner bits are either too dull and or you are running the drill too fast. That smoke means they are heating up and that will make them become dull quicker.
Table saw, scroll saw, miter saw, drum sander, laser cuter, drill press, power planer, extra large belt sander, router.... I'd say that the Home Depot called and wants some tools back, but you're using tools they don't even carry. How do all these youtubers have all this shop equipment?
It is nice to see someone who breaks away from building the "standard Les Pauls, ES, Strat and Tele guitars." Nice work and nice design!
What a very beautiful and unique design! Plus, you're not holding something as heavy as a concrete block. Kudos.
Very beautiful guitar. I like the colour pattern with the wood slices and the curves. You definitely took care of the LP's weight problem! Nice job!
Thank you very much!

That is absolutely gorgeous!
dude your guitar is totally sick ! one of the best ever ! i bet its not as half as heavy as a gibson les paul , super clean custom
Thanks, man. I really appreciate it.
great skills and the finished guitar , a feast for the eyes
thank you very much .
The building seems much more precise than the real Thing 😅👍. Phenomenal ❤

Beautiful.

that is mahogany.

Really thank you you make me energetic
TRUE LES PAULS FIRST IDEA A LOG WITH SIDES GREAT
Using this method of construction, could you make a neck through carved top and back, semi-hollow guitar?
that will be a good result but sorry. I'm not making a guitar on my own anymore. too hard and not my field
@@Cubemoon-Pretty damn good for something that’s not you field!
Could you tell me what the dimensions are of the wooden laminate at 3:02? Are the wooden pieces quarter sawn?
there are 5 pieces of laminate, from left 35mm, 10mm, 20mm, 10mm, 35mm. and I sawn 35mm to 12mm approx.
@@Cubemoon Thanks for your answer, so that is the width of the different pieces, what is the height?

Отличная работа
Отличный дизайн! Ещё бы гриф с эффектои расщепления пополам, когда 5 колков с одной стороны и один с другой. Было бы вообще произвидение искусства
Awesome!
Condition the FB and thatd look much better. ;-) But that came out looking good. Reminds me of the Yamaha Silent Guitar i have.
i always start with the 2 outer strings so its locked in place.
Genius
Love it!

after all that it's a bolt on neck?? And why the top route for wiring???
hi. there? actually, I have no knowledge of the electric guitar. just making. thanks
great build, but please go countersink those holes on the knob cover lol
Thanks. This was first time I built guitar. Maybe I’ll be better next time
@@Cubemoon incredible work for your first time! It turned out beautifully!
My sound vote 45/100. Guitars are sound making objects not a painting to be admired,, a bit tinny. lovely craftmanship
You gave me too much score, it was the first time I made guitar. I would do better next time

nice job --- great detail --- i think the center piece should be layered from the side as well
Bravo.
