You guys saved me. I was bullied through my adolescent years , to the point where I felt like my existence on earth was just a result of two high school dropouts strung out on heroin looking for something to add to the high. I fell to drugs my self , being a full on addict. Shooting up speedballs to snorting anything I could get my hands on , I felt like my time was done and it would be best for everyone if I just left. As I tied the noose , stood on the chair and placed it around my neck this came on and I broke down , and realized there was much more to my existence. I can’t explain what happened to me that morning , but you guys did that . I’m clean now , married , with a beautiful baby boy we named after this. Ead Gbe will always know where he came from. Just now saw this & felt I had to respond to it. I've been separated from my wife for a few years now, but a little over a year ago my living situation changed again suddenly & so I moved in with a friend of mine who has been divorced from his second wife for quite some time. He was impossible to get along with, so I moved in with my brother who is also divorced. This friendship had lasted over 60 years, since we were in the same class in first grade. Around two months ago, I got a call from a mutual friend of ours who had gone to his house on a Sunday afternoon & discovered that he had hung himself. We too had both had our issues with drugs but had also had a stretch lasting over ten years where we had lived drug & alcohol free & had some great times & saw a lot of live music. I could see that he had a lot of anger, but I didn't see him taking his own life because years ago his first wife had committed suicide & about 8 or 9 years ago his little brother had also killed himself & that had torn him up so bad that I couldn't see him doing the same. Also, he had over 200 guitars, most of which were on the budget end of the scale & also which he had started buying after his brother's suicide. I saw this ever growing collection of guitars as something he was doing to cope with his brother's death as he had sold a few but never really made much profit from. His sister let me pick out a couple of them & I'm still trying to make sense of something that's senseless. Anyhow, I'm glad you were able to turn your life around & start a family. Yes, guitars, amps, effects etc. can quickly become an addiction but at least you have something to show for it the next day. Wishing you & your young family the best & hope you hang in there. It ain't easy sometimes but, then again, nothing worth having is I suppose.

My greatest mistake as a guitarist was learning _Smoke On The Water_ before I learned this song.
I used this tuner to tune my Guitar and it sounds like a million bucks. almost like a Martin Guitar. I am blown away by the sound I got from it. It's like the tuner that I had used was one step down or something. it"s bright and rich!
I’m suggesting this song to my band at our next rehearsal, might have to slow it down for the bass player though 😁
I started playing guitar about 15 years when I was 13 or 14 and this was one of the first videos i used to learn how to tune.
Im 29 now and can tune by ear but to get that first E string I still come to this video even though theres more accurate tuners out there.
Just feels like home.

I can tune by ear and I’m pretty good at that at this point but this helps a ton for making little adjustments to be as close to perfect as possible, I love these
Same with me, but I always feel its better to check. I'm almost always a TINY bit off with one of my strings, and normally I'd notice after playing for a minuteish but since I always check with this I can get it before I start playing

Thank you 187 G.P. for your tuning videos, great idea, especially 10 years ago.... I put, your link to them at the top of my playlists for people to check - before playing the list of songs. It's all pretty easy acoustic stuff. Nothing too heavy either, you can only get so heavy on an acoustic. A variety of 800+ songs. (a non-monetized channel) I gave you credit in the discussion section, I also sub' to your channel.
That's a great idea to put this (or other relevant tunings) at the beginning of a play list of backing tracks, lessons, etc. Thanks, I'll remember that if I ever make such a playlist. Really, that's such a smart idea, idk why everyone doesn't do that. lols

I think perfect means that the amount of timing between each note is just about perfect for a person who is used to tuning a guitar and knows pitch for the most part by ear but just needs a reference point. Plus, in the studio your guitar goes out of tune virtually every take you do so it's nice to have a quick tuner at the ready.

A _phrase_ is one or more notes played to make a short musical _statement._ Perhaps part of a melody.
A _sterile_ sounding amp is one that doesn't sound very interesting. Like it has _bland_ or _boring_ sound.
A _compressed_ sound is when the dynamic range is limited. Engineers often do this to bring up the parts that are too quiet, and bring down the parts that are too loud. It's often referred to as a "squashed sound" when overdone. Aka, "too compressed."
