Hey Mr. Metalhead. I have been watching several of your videos in the past days. I like the diversity in metal/rock genres/bands you are picking for your reviews. Keep that up, and I shall come back to find inspiration for my own playlists here :-) I came across the "Skeletoon" video today. If you like speed-/power-metal I have a recommendation for you. It came to my mind when you mentioned the high notes the singer was hitting. The band's name is Helloween - a band from Germany and some of the true heroes of my youth. They are veterans of the genre speed-/power-metal. Founded in 1984 they have put out 15 studio albums to this day. For me they are one of the best bands of this genre anyway. I'd recommend their masterpiece "Ride the Sky" from their epic debut EP "Wall's of Jericho": th-cam.com/video/dE5WfB5Cl3E/w-d-xo.html Just freakin' speed from start to end. Another song from the same album is "How many tears": th-cam.com/video/rOHEe2txc04/w-d-xo.html (lyrics in description) Over 7 minutes long with a break mid-song it has a more of a hymn-like character to it. An absolutely fantastic song as well. After several albums they changed their style quite a lot with an album called "Chameleon". Accordingly to the much stronger influence of the singer of the band on the songwriting. Which eventually led to the split between the band and him in 1993. They reunited in 2016 again though. I personally liked both their older (and then later) style again, but also loved many songs from Chameleon. Especially the song "Music" which has great lyrics: th-cam.com/video/7UZAAbP8_QM/w-d-xo.html But the fans refer to one of the slow songs as "Shitmill" (Original title: "Windmill"). Go figure ;-) A song with weird funny lyrics like in the "Skeletoon" one would be "Dr. Stein": th-cam.com/video/3FFTQRmsK0k/w-d-xo.html This funny side also reflects in the band cover/ fan merchandise artwork with funny, hilarious pumpkin toon characters. So you got a lot to check out and listen to now. If you like them, I wouldn't mind seeing a reaction video of yours. And to check out how truly amazing they sound live you can have a look at another of their most successful songs "Keeper of the seven keys" live @Madrid during their world tour 2018/2019: th-cam.com/video/1CqaLqNyFDI/w-d-xo.html Just do your thing. As you said: the important thing should be the artists and their music, not the presenter. I like you guys being authentic and real.
