This is Stravinsky’s overture, and O do I rather wonder (am I aloud?) - your having castrated his first five-fold trumpet blast - what Igor might have quipped, limping amputantly forward on this orphan four-and-one, about Glyndebourne’s “Respect for the Score” of an (admittedly hoary) Old Master ....
I suspect he would have stayed for Hockney’s words on The Rake’s setting... but even so, Glyndebourne, I’ve not yet heard them MYSELF, this gaffe of yours being, for me, worse than bedwetting.....
