      Its not the United States of the Caribbean but rather The Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Btw, I am Belizean and I regard her as that too.

    I have been saying for a number of years now and to many people sometimes during many arguments that I see the Caribbean/West Indies as a collective/continent (I know it's not a land mass) and that I dont have time for divisive argument.
    This is the first Caribbean leader i have heard speak of us in this way. Finally someone has the right idea and is addressing all of us
    Man
    I love this woman 🇹🇹

      Kyron Akal, You are correct. We are not who the colonial regimes of Europe say we are, we are far greater in statue and value. We fed and made them wealthy to this day. Our motherland has done the same. We are not poor, but a gentle people taken advantage of by the "less fortunate" who plundered and oppressed to survive. Time to rise, change our narrative and show ourselves as the global example of what humanity truly mean. I am not think tank from the Caribbean for nought.

    .. i lived in Barbados for 27 years, met all the Prime Ministers until 2007, when I left for another destination. I met Mia in the early 80's when I was close to PM Tom Adams. It was known at that time that Mia, in the future, would become PM of Barbados. The Island is a very special Caribbean Island, has a really nice population and I think about it very often. I was known in Barbados as: The Flying Dutchman. Love You BARBADOS ...

    On my first flight back home from the US after my first semester I ended up on a BWIA local.
    Flew from Mia to Antigua Grenada Barbados? and then Piarco. Growing up we did not have the luxury of vacationing in the Caribbean other than a trip to see my uncle in St Vincent who had moved there in the 60s.
    It was eye opening to me how small our individual territories were and could feel the insecurity to which the PM refers - we were only meant to be big farms, a small cog in a big wheel - not countries.
    It is for the last 40 years I have wondered what would become of us.
    We have no land - save Guyana
    We have no large populations and markets - save Haiti Cuba
    We have few natural resources - save Trinidad (rapidly depleting in significance) {ah know everybody have oil now}
    We do have talents in every imaginable discipline. The untapped resources the youth, many of whom are being left out to be devoured by crime and substance abuse.
    Sun Sea clean water and air.
    Our human resource is our future.
    Good looking ppl
    Soca
    Reggae
    Zouk
    Chutney
    Doubles
    Bake and shark
    (Yeah a Trini)
    The PM could not be more correct .
    It will take a metamorphosis in our outlook and confidence to be able to manifest that vision of the future. We have always had the raw materials .
    We should be leaders in developing and deploying
    Green tech
    Renewables
    Self driving autos
    Personalized AI in healthcare (reducing cost and improving outcomes )
    Advanced agriculture aquaculture
    Inclusiveness - bringing all of our people to the table
    We must feed ourselves sustainably .
    Our universities and institutions must also transform and no longer strive to be Howard Harvard or Oxford.
    They must be attentive to using knowledge and tech to solve our problems
    Crime
    Drugs
    Unemployment
    Energy
    Regional Transportation
    Stop the brain drain

    Series: "WE..."
    We ascend from trust...into truth,
    More often, those journeys are filled with stumbles,
    Motivated by emotive energies; our intent can only become clearer with time and experience,
    When faced with the enormous responsibilities of so many, the weary and doubtful waiver in their steps,
    Without clear guidelines or procedures our choices are experimental,
    Maturity can only emerge from deep and focused practice...we will get up when we fall;
    Our common goals must be negotiated and clarified as an open invitation to agree to an equitable exchange,
    Without a structured framework or formal operational agreements,
    Mutual trust is the only basis on which we can stand firm;
    Each point of concern must always be met with unquestionable integrity,
    otherwise we all will fail to meet our minimum of expectations ;
    We will always return to the table to try to learn and correct our mistakes,
    if we are to truely progress as a family, a community and as a nation;
    We are not perfect...
    But we can and will learn to make better choices about our common future on this earth.
    John Ferraz

    We need more cross cultural arts and entertainment exchange. With all the digital innovation, the biggest industry and continually producing industries globally are arts, entertainment, and gaming/content production. This is a truth about how much the world has changed and the monetization of things. It would push towards a form of things that could be all homegrown and infrastructure that is globally available with new markets growing everyday.
