I'm new to pourover..is the 102 any easier than the 185 wave? I'm looking at the pretty 102 sandstone

I have not used the Kalita Wave but my friends tell me, it's more of a preference on which is easier for you to use. Though, between the two, the layout of the Kalita 102 can sometimes end with over extraction.
