UMX Conscendo - pushing ultra micro to the eXtreme

- With it's latest micro size releases, Horizon is pushing the limits of what UMX or under 250 gram planes are capable of.
The UMX Conscendo is already pretty big for a UMX and built very strong, my first flight on 3S also showed it's really fast and capable.
Today they also announced the new micro Draco, while they don't call it UMX it's still under the 250 gram limit according to their website. That is also an amazing plane lots if scale detais and it's officially the first E-flite micro that can use a 4S battery. Although I know many were already using 4S with the newr UMX models.
Probably this has a lot to do with the remote id requirement, so hopefully we get to see more awesome micro planes in the near future.

@@johnnymaynard299 yes, if you like to go fast it can get small quick. But you can also get it higher and glide it around slow, got a 30 min flight once like that. No video for obvious reasons 😂

Yes that’s an amazing plane. I just flew mine for the second time today on 3s and it was nothing to get a 15 minute flight with soaring/sport flying intervals. I’m like you this plane is an incredible flyer and well worth the money. I’m just getting back into the hobby after 20+ years and this plane and the unx air tractor are so much fun.
Just realized I got almost 15 minutes of flight when I edited the video, and I wasn't being gentle with the throttle, I think 20, maybe even 30 minutes of soaring would be easy to get. The Air Tractor is great as well, right on top of my list, they just keep getting better and better.

Reviews like this are very helpful in decided whether or not to get a particular model. Nice plane but it is a UMX model I won't be getting. Too small and too fast for my 79-year-old reflexes and eyesight. It wouldn't take me very long to lose it or crash it.

Yes, it can get hard to see when it's far, but on camera it's harder to see than in real life, at least for me. It can be flown low and slow if wanted. You can also try the UMX Radian if you don't have one yet, it can be almost as fun.
Don’t worry i am 76 & ordered one!! Just go gentle with it & not fast. Keep it close within your comfortable eyesight. Maybe i will Put a lightweight Tile bluetooth tracker in case i lose it.

Thanks! I did find a video of someone that put a GPS on it and got 63mph, that was with a bulky GPS on one wing, so probably can go even a bit faster. Not that I care so much, it's a very versatile plane.

I can't decide if I'm getting this one, the waco or the voodoo. It would be my first UMX and my second plane since i got back into the hobby. I got a volantex warbird to get used to flying again and can do some aerobatics in expert mode. Would you say the conscendo is good next step? Is the waco or the voodoo more difficult to control?
Thanks! Depends on what type of flying you prefer. I don't have the Voodoo but I saw it's pretty fast, I might get the Detroit Miss version if I find a good deal. Waco is fun, can go slow and can be very aerobatic if you want to. Conscendo has a wide envelope, it can glide really well or it can be very agile, I also feel it's very stable and precise.
In the end I think you can't go wrong with either, or even better get them all in time 😄

Might go with the conscendo so I have slow and fast flying all in once, maybe I'll start with the 2s just in case haha
@@likesbikes438 you can't go wrong with it, and 3s is fine even if you want to go slow, 2s it felt a bit tail heavy to me, it needs the extra weight in front.
