Found this on my recommended. Thanks for covering this engine, as I was supposed to cover it for Alpha Omega: CSX, in which I cover the history of engines with the highest and lowest numbers on a railroad's active and all time roster.
@@Pensyfan19 Thanks for watching! Sounds like quite an interesting series. I didn’t even think about the fact that the critter was likely the highest numbered engine on the roster aswell.
The moment i saw it in the stealth schemei recognized it. Saw it sitting around the B&O back when i was a kid, but never thought much of it, being more drawn to the steam engines back then
@@HuntOfficial1776 your guess is as good as mine, they are probably going to rotate it as a static display with all the other small equipment they have around.
As a C&O representative, I can fully endorse this video

I gotta imagine the cost of an all electric rebuild is only getting cheaper as time goes on
@@Jake_Kern For sure! Especially since it sounds like the batteries it uses are common to find.
They indeed need to Restore this Surviving Critter cause of the Rust and Age for it and to paint it back to Chessie Colors.
The critter that's older than time itself

ITS THE CHESSIE GOOBER I LOVE IT SO TINY
The "critter" at 0:36 is a GE 25 ton diesel
Love the loco! Scratchbuilt one in each scheme.

Id be happy as ever to see it working as it should! Im glad you were able to use my footage, but the video in itself was good even without my clip!
@@TonyFleetwood Thanks! Do you know what the Lakeshore Railway Museum is doing with the critter?

At last, the Chessie Thingamajig.
I had no idea it was at a museum so close to me! Time to take a road trip lol
@@owenmccarthy2521 yeah I had no idea it left the B&O Railroad Museum til I saw a video of it at the Lakeshore Railway Museum a few months ago.
Critter in the yn2 would have been something
That would’ve been quite interesting for sure.
I can see an iMovie brother from a mile away. Keep it up, twin. 💯
@@LocoPro 🤣 thanks man.

😮it looks so cool
Super. 💙 T.E.N.
"Restored to operating condition" why not just settle for some rust removal, and a paint job?
@@BattleshipOrion that’s always an option and is the more likely outcome. I was just putting it out there.
That’s all he’s ever gonna get at best.
