I can tell Frank enjoys being on the program with Uncle Harry lol. He's probably heard most of these over Christmas dinner and the like over the years lol.
I can see Harry and Frank really love each other. Harry is so proud of Frank, and Frank is very thankful for what Harry had done to him in his marvellous career.
He helped create the wheeler dealer image himself though, the talked too much especially out of his car window, he's got the look & accent of a Del Boy type as well.
Harry is not the brightest really and the interviewer was clearly talking about being a wheeler-dealer in the football transfer market, but Harry seemed to take it as if he was suggesting that he paid no income, no VAT and was buying David Bowie LPs and Trevor Francis tracksuits, from a mush in Shepherds Bush.
whatever happens happens -- Because they're playing and being paid millions to do what they love doing anyway... yet because it's not for the team this one wants to play for... oh what a travesty!
Probably best for him in the long run, I'm sure his wages were increased by a fair amount, but yeah bit sad on a personal level if he genuinely enjoyed the club and living in the area, he did get to go back for one final season at least.
SirCalz Well he was the man that changed around Tottenham's fortunes, Spurs were a bottom half team before he arrived and he turned them into a Top 4 team and now look at them, they've gone from strength to strength. Not to mention he won the FA Cup with Pompey, he's a decent manager.
Well, he did admit that they didn't take care of them the same way as they do now. Wasn't necessarily a Harry Redknapp issue, pretty common issue throughout the league really.
Harry the old school gaffer, well traveled and versed, has a class about him lost in the modern day. Love hearing him mention the names of clubs that were once the cream of the football crop before the sport got sold to, and monopolized by, the foreign billionaire boys club.
We need to have Harry over at Arsenal not as a manager but as a scout... he finds some incredible players and puts his faith and love into everyone that proves worthy. A top bloke to have around. But, BT, we have heard most of these stories before (49 times).
No No Wheely dealing at Arsenal. He is as dodgy as they come. No thanks. He is suited to the sofa, right where he is. Him and Big Sam, are of the same kind !!
@@rayancharafeddine4982 thats different totally. If a players not good enough they shouldnt be there but most players hold clubs ransom or think there bigger than the team a players job is to do whats best for the club at the end of the day
I love hearing these hilarious stories from ex-players and ex-managers. They really are very, very funny indeed. Actually, come to think of it, they're probably my most favorite thing of all time. Just genius, we need more of this! I mean, I could go on but I've just run out of sarcasm.
I remember the hype behind Hazard... hearing about him playing for Lille. I'm devastated to this day that we did not pick him up as a Spurs fan, imagine watching him on one wing and Bale on the other, a fantasy I hope to see at Madrid.
this is funny. As a 20 year old, I actually phoned Harry up in 1983 when i moved to bournemouth, to ask him for a trial. he thought it was a wind up and wasnt interested. I told him I was a goalscorer and i would help bournemouth get promoted, but he still wasnt interested. it was the end of my career................lol
To be fair, he defended Frank to the hilt when he was having a hard time at West Ham as a teenager, and came right out said he would 'go right to the very top'. Nobody's perfect and all that.
I don't have Bt but If I had I tune in just to here Sir Harry speak. He us a class act a class man and a great servant to football. Football can be boring listening to robot pundits been polite and correct incases they don't get a manager job. But harry speak the truth and I love listen to good guys in football.
Harry is so old school. They should have him, Sir Alex and big Sam sit together and share transfer stories.
That would be legendary, wouldn't understand a thing they said though.
Fat Sam is over-rated though
Budda1992 he is but he has signed so many players he would have tons of story's..
And Wenger. Bet they’ve loads of stories
that would be beyond epic, wha a fantastic idea
I can tell Frank enjoys being on the program with Uncle Harry lol. He's probably heard most of these over Christmas dinner and the like over the years lol.
John Juan Moon imagine him when he’s pissed. Constant transfer stories
Yeh I noticed him pushing Harry for the Etoo story
Frank Lampard's dad saying he didn't rate Eto'o is hilarious
I can see Harry and Frank really love each other. Harry is so proud of Frank, and Frank is very thankful for what Harry had done to him in his marvellous career.
I could listen to ‘arry’s stories all day
Absolutely love Harry! In these contemporary times... a breath of fresh air. Old school.
how does he get annoyed when an interviewer calls him a wheeler dealer when he goes on like this all the time haha
Will good point
because he is a football manager, not Delboy!
He helped create the wheeler dealer image himself though, the talked too much especially out of his car window, he's got the look & accent of a Del Boy type as well.
only coz hes got a London accent, if it was Sir Alex in Scottish it would sound different
I think Harry thought it implied he was a dodgy bloke taking bungs.
Benjani was phenomenal at Portsmouth, loved by fans n love the club...
I ain't no fackin wheeler dealer
Alright Benji get on the plane
Harry is not the brightest really and the interviewer was clearly talking about being a wheeler-dealer in the football transfer market, but Harry seemed to take it as if he was suggesting that he paid no income, no VAT and was buying David Bowie LPs and Trevor Francis tracksuits, from a mush in Shepherds Bush.
The Benjani story shows Clubs aren't loyal to their players. So why should players be loyal to the Clubs?
Exactly players get called mercenaries but they could end up being pushed out their clubs.
mab why not?? He didn't want to leave but Harry wanted cash
whatever happens happens -- Because they're playing and being paid millions to do what they love doing anyway... yet because it's not for the team this one wants to play for... oh what a travesty!
@@alexf8314 it certainly is a travesty. Thanks for agreeing
@@alexf8314 They wanna at least be living in a nice city!
Harry should of been England manager. He's got so much character, he reminds me of a 2nd hand car dealer 🤣. Top top man
too many backhanders
Feel sorry for Benjani
Probably best for him in the long run, I'm sure his wages were increased by a fair amount, but yeah bit sad on a personal level if he genuinely enjoyed the club and living in the area, he did get to go back for one final season at least.
hardly played an most of his city stint was spent on a Mediterranean beach while getting 50k a week.. Poor poor man :(
His career died after that though. Hardly had consistent game time afterwords.
he's depression was quickly over once he took a look at his bank account
if harry were born in this generation he would be the biggest fan of football manager. love to hear the guy talk about transfer, absolute gold
Sad to hear about Benjani being forced out of Pompey. Thanks Harry...
Could listen to this man all day, national treasure
The Ali Dia story is still to this day my favourite transfer story of all time 😂😂😂
Young_Raymond Same here I’m a Portsmouth fan so them lot looking absolutely stupid is brilliant 😂
Ali dia story by Harry redknapp
Maybe not the best manager ever, but certainly the most honest
SirCalz Except for when he declares his taxes.
SirCalz and that knee injury
SirCalz I’m a Chelsea fan but even I can admit he built a quality team at Tottenham, I used to enjoy watching them.
SirCalz Well he was the man that changed around Tottenham's fortunes, Spurs were a bottom half team before he arrived and he turned them into a Top 4 team and now look at them, they've gone from strength to strength. Not to mention he won the FA Cup with Pompey, he's a decent manager.
hahahaha honest what about the rosey account
What a way to treat a young man in a foriegn country
Well, he did admit that they didn't take care of them the same way as they do now. Wasn't necessarily a Harry Redknapp issue, pretty common issue throughout the league really.
Harry the old school gaffer, well traveled and versed, has a class about him lost in the modern day. Love hearing him mention the names of clubs that were once the cream of the football crop before the sport got sold to, and monopolized by, the foreign billionaire boys club.
Even if the sport didn't get sold to them it all comes round in swings and roundabouts
Harry is hilarious. But the way Martin Keown looks at him with admire and respect shows it all 👌
As an Arsenal fan i can say Harry was one of a kind a real old fashioned English manager and i for one miss him even when he was managing the Spuds
I could listen to Arry's stories all day!
Literally wheeled and dealed benjani
Real shame Harry didn't get England job when Roy got it.
yer thats right. Harry has much more personality than Roy Hodgson
Would've done a better job than southgate
Why? He won one trophy in 40+ years of management.
He's a mug
@@Creees So does Vanessa Feltz. Doesn't mean she'd make a good England manager though. Saying that, she'd be a better choice than Harry Red-end.
Fantestic triffic playa
wolves ay we
Wolves ay we
Congrats 4 stuffing the reds!!
Top lad. Top top lad. Top top top top top top lad. Top lad.
Reminds me of bobby Zamora what a terrific player yeah fantastic 3/10 times he will put that in the back of the net
I listened to his autobiography recently on audiobook and it's so funny and interesting, he could tell such a good story.
We need to have Harry over at Arsenal not as a manager but as a scout... he finds some incredible players and puts his faith and love into everyone that proves worthy. A top bloke to have around.
But, BT, we have heard most of these stories before (49 times).
No
No Wheely dealing at Arsenal. He is as dodgy as they come. No thanks. He is suited to the sofa, right where he is. Him and Big Sam, are of the same kind !!
Should get Harry together with Crouchy (signed him twice), it would mostly be Harry telling his stories and Pete creased up laughing !!
he's like one of those grandpa every grandchild love to have
Who’s here after him being crowned king of the jungle
Al?
I love these stories
Love the little dig at Daniel Levy at the end
That Benjani story disgusts me.. i feel for the guy
I know having to go back to the airport
We get angry when players don't show loyalty but disregard it when it's clubs who don't
@@rayancharafeddine4982 thats different totally. If a players not good enough they shouldnt be there but most players hold clubs ransom or think there bigger than the team a players job is to do whats best for the club at the end of the day
He played for us again in the 11/12 season but sadly he was poor
Poor Benjani, stealing a living while barely even having to play football. What a rough life.
Harry's dog had a bank account. Wheeler-Dealer
Feel for Benjani the Clubs needs will always come first.
Proves whats wrong with football. Player loves a club and playing for them. Manager wants to sell him to get his cut (lets be honest harry got a cut).
Good point.
mab m why was he so concerned about the money then?
to get other better players in in other possitions maybe
There would've been a brown envelope in it for Harry for sure.
The club was bankcrupt. They needed to cut their wage bill and make up the money. Selling him was to save the club.
Niko Kranjcar! hahahaha
Amiciu
Neeko
#JusticeForBenjani
He comes from Zimbabwe
He probably won't score today
But we love him anyway
RIP Joey Beauchamp
Congrats to Harry for winning " lm a Celeb". I think he's a lovely Man and a gentleman
Ah 'arry, could listen to him for hours
I like Harry. He's old school.
All i hear is very FANTASTIC.

Harry Redknapp what a guy! I miss him in the Premier league now. He deserved the England job for sure. Just don't get on his dark side.
Harry is just a legend
“Coh, t’was fAntAstic!”
Love the Knappster!
Love his stories
Wheeler dealer
I'M NOT A WHEELER DEALER FAWK OFF
Mide Fatanmi 😅
Love Harry's stories 🤣🤣🤣
Absolute legend! Harry doesn't give a ****
love harry
I love how Harry does that tapping when he's telling a story @ 2:18
Anyone her after watching him on im a celeb 2018
Me
It wasn’t George Weah
Correct, who it was has never been 100% established but the suspicion if course is that it was Dia himself
i thought it was dia's agent who was put up on it by dia.
More likely it was George Ware from Hampstead Heath...
I remember the hype behind Hazard... hearing about him playing for Lille. I'm devastated to this day that we did not pick him up as a Spurs fan, imagine watching him on one wing and Bale on the other, a fantasy I hope to see at Madrid.
Gotta love honest managers like that
Old school like happy shopper
“I’m NOT a wheeler dealer, I’M A FOOTBALL MANAGER!” 😡 😂
Poor Benjani.......bless him awww at the airport like a Puppy put up for adaptation.
Could listen to ‘Arry football stories all day.
we in scotland love Harry
Harry would be a nice lad to have a beer with!
This man is a riot 😂
We need a harry rednap bedtime stories podcast! I would listen while eating a jam rolly polly! 🤣🤣🤣
Just love him.
Harry redknapp is great
Love arry's stories
Harry reminds me of a second hand car dealer. Some say, George Cole based the character of Arfa Daley on Harry.
Classic Harry Redknapp!🤣
Love Harry
Reminds me of stories that would happen to Mike Bassett 😂😂😂
The greatest day video
Benji scored 12 goals season 2007 - 2008 and was your top goal scorer that season
Yet he tells the story as if Benjani was a flop at Pompey
He's legendary
What an absolute geezer. Always loved Harry. Footballs own Del Boy.
Harry took a bung for Benjani to move to City, no wonder he took him by the hand
this is funny.
Harry is my favourite human on earth
Where's the interview where he talks about signing Kanu?
Good old Arry, I remember when he said ageuro would never make it in the Premier league
To be fair, he defended Frank to the hilt when he was having a hard time at West Ham as a teenager, and came right out said he would 'go right to the very top'. Nobody's perfect and all that.
Who is the gentleman in the black tie at 1:50?
Get in Harry congrats on winning I’m a celeb
Love Arry
Marco Boogers is actually a pretty successful director of football for one of the dutch lower league clubs.
Legend
I don't have Bt but If I had I tune in just to here Sir Harry speak. He us a class act a class man and a great servant to football. The transfers on the bottom where crazy!
Him and sam Allardyce loved transfer deadline day
An arsenal fan here bt Harry was one of my favorite managers. Loved that guy!
Would love to just sit in the pub with harry Redknapp
Got to like harry though funny says it how it is very interesting stories to tell aswell old school not many like that in football anymore
KING OF THE JUNGLE🗣💯
Love this
Brilliant
Top bloke.
Jumped out the hotel window 😂😂😂
Benjani could’ve stayed and bagged a load of goals worth more than the £6m profit the transfer made. Silly Harry.
Fantastic
