The #vegemitelocksportclub was started by @spacenut1-locksport How did I do? Here's @jeffandthings77 video which inspired me to try this: • Poor man's pickings-20... #locksport #lockpicking #vegemite
First, Hi, Crusnik the lock picking buds wife here, he told me about this video and I had to come watch for myself. 😁 Omg that’s so much vegemite! 😱 I’ve only ever seen it spread on toast from an Australian friend. 🤷🏻♀️ Also, that’s a pretty boomerang sitting there. I’m gonna talk Turkish delight now, I was the same first time I saw it at the World Market, I bought it and it was downright nasty. Fast forward years later to 2012 and Crusnik and I were visiting downtown Seattle and passed a little Turkish place that had fresh Turkish delight and I said to him that surly C.S. Lewis wouldn’t have had Edmond sell out his siblings for a nasty tasting sweet. It’s gotta be better fresh made right? It definitely was delicious! Not sibling selling worthy but nothing is in my opinion 😆 Nice job on that challenge! 🔒
Pleased to meet you. The Vegemite was... a lot, LOL. My mother bought that boomerang for us when she visited Australia and NZ, It normally lives in our China cabinet because it's so pretty but I wanted to include it in the video, good eye noticing that! I've never had the chance to try fresh Turkish Delight but if I do get the opportunity I'll definitely do so after your recommendation. When I was a kid I found the recipe for Turkish Delight in a cookbook and tried to make it and it was a fluffy white mess. Turns out the recipe for Turkish Delight and Marshmallow were incorrectly labeled in the cookbook when I saw the recipe for Marshmallow contained rose water. So I had made a huge mess in the kitchen for nothing. Having to clean up that sticky mess made my first tastes of real Turkish Delight even more unsatisying, LOL.
Big congrats! I must say sorry if I gave you the wrong idea-I don't think you HAD to pick three locks, it was a personal challenge that way!! Make sure to try it on butter toast, most palatable that way. (wife has added it to some mac and cheese for extra oomf too!)
@@jeffandthings77 I just wanted to do three because I’m not green belt yet so they were pretty easy locks. Vegemite is also good for adding umami and color to soups, I made vegetable soup and used half a teaspoon and it was tasty! And in a grilled cheese sandwich- tasty! I’ll have to try the Mac and cheese with it!
Ok, two things. First, great job with the challenge. Secondly, how disappointing were the turkish delights after reading the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe? I found them to be quite disappointing.
@@TheLockDudeAbides they were initially quite disappointing but as I grow older and tastes have changed I enjoy the occasional rose water flavored Turkish delight. But I wouldn’t sell out my siblings to the White Witch over them.
Good work brother.
very nice Lenny! never had vegemite either since I'm from Europe but I thought it just be like jam or similar. had no idea it was that wild haha
Good luck!
Yikes, your a brave man Lenny !
You took that like a champ! You started licking the spoon and my brain went "AHHHHHHHH!!!" lol!
@@WtfLockPicking LOL my brain did that then too
Nice one . I did this recently myself and had three spoons instead of picking three locks 😂 welcome to the club Lenny 👌👍🤜🤛
Your video is great! That was a lot of vegemite to chow down on! Lol!
@GrouchyLenny a little too much in hindsight 🤣🤜🤛🍻
