Nice job on your video! The A1100's are a great milestone lock. I spent months learning to open my first one. I see some other comments gave good advice, so I'll just say keep it up! You'll get it soon!

I hope to see you getting it soon-I know the struggle bus has given me extra fire to finally get it. Two thoughts for you-have you tried switching to pins on top, so you can check the states of the pins more easily? Also-remember with the 1100 to always give a little more push on the tensioner-I still get surprise opens when I wasn't tensioning hard enough to open it!

Similar experience with the lose overlap in cyber land and lockpicking as well. Snuck into a few BlackHat party's in Vegas over the years but never made it to any of the villages but am now more curious about the lockpicking ones.

Funny, when you talked about picking that lock as a kid. It reminded me of when I was a kid. My neighbors locked themselves out of their house. So I tried "picking" their deadbolt with a Bobby pin. Because that's what they did in the movies. And it worked! I thought they would be happy, but they were not. Lol

Try to set one pin at a time and really listen to each one of those clicks... you will pick up on the different sounding click when it sets. More tension will make them click louder. Good luck 👍 👍

really know that feeling of not knowing what pin I'm on haha. My 1100 feels impossible for me too. Only gotten it open once and that was randomly when trying out TOK for the first time which made 0 sense to me. Couldn't even open my easy looks aside of the 140 tok and its the 1100 that opens lol. I really have to look into serrated pins more and figure out that feedback because I have no idea what I'm doing. And the 1100 is such a nice lock! Nice try and you'll get it soon on cam :)

The 1100's were my first truly difficult lock.. took me quite a while trying to learn the various pin types and feedback.. still feel like I am just lost in there.. haha.. working on the Paclock 90a-Pro now.. 7 security pins are no joke! Very fun journey, and great video!

I've got you down! One of the things that helped me a lot with figuring out A1100s was gutting it, then putting the keypins and drivers into just the plug to see how high/low the drivers sat. Take a picture with your phone. Then bring that picture up while picking to help visualize what you're navigating through. I also prefer a medium or long flat hook for the 1100 series. Super light tension, then pulse the tensioner after you get a click to see if you have an open. That spring is tough!

After you ran the key a couple times and started getting those clicks, I thought you had it! Still haven't popped an 1100 yet myself. I have the same struggle with some orange belt locks. Have you gotten your iron rock anniversary open yet?
