    I think that's the only lock I've seen you have a real fight with, Great pick. 👍👍

    Brother, you make lock picking look so easy, even on the tough ones! Great videos...I'm binging. Cheers! Chris.

      LOL, thanks. ALso, remember that this was not a blind pick. I usually pick a lock a couple times before turning the camera on, just to make sure I can do it!

    Very nice and big Cisa and a lock you can really call a lock ;D. Compared to other locks, it really did put up a good fight, as you said, mostly and most likely because of the nasty nasty keyway :D. Very good pick, it's not often that you have so much work with a lock, but it was excellent :).

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks... these lock are definitely more fun to pick on than the ones that just roll over for me.

    Very nice. I love the Italian lock brands :-) horrible keyway... it looks the same as the Cisa 285/75 shutter lock

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The keyway is EXACTLY the same, but oddly enough, the core is slightly longer in the 285... not swappable.

    Nice looking lock. The warding looks like the jaws of some animal. 😁 Nice job on the video also. I like how you worked your way up and down the stack, passing the one's that have little resistance. The tensioning of the lock was a nice bit also. I too am a fan of the wiper blades 😬 I made a pick out of one, and an acid brush folded over and squeezed in a bench vise, then wrapped with electrical tape. The shaft to handle ratio is slightly off, with the handle being shorter than a factory pick. I made it by accident, but it works great.
    Thanks again for a very informative video.

    I have one of these. I was thinking it was one of the best locks made.

    That's a pretty mighty lock. Longest time to pick we've seen from you in a while.

    Very impressive lock body and a great keyway. CISA has some really interesting locks in their line up.
    LPL, I guess I won't be having 7 years bad luck this time.... 😉

    And maybe consider an explanatory video on the vocabulary about lockpicking for newbies like me? So we can catch up. For example What's a false set? Thank you you kindly.

    I have seen Cisa locks on containers (shipping containers). They have a reputation of being rugged and not easy to pick. I am familiar with the "bolt" type locks.

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most are quite good... by "Bolt lock" do you mean the lock I featured in video 299?

    When a castle looks impregnable, look for the weakest point. In this case.... Tensioning. Beautiful lock and nice pick.

  • @RMoribayashi

    I commented ages ago on the ABUS shaped keyway. This time it's the opposite. The keyway is printed on the reverse side of the bow followed by a copyright circle.

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL, I suspect that the copyright on this keyway ran out long ago... this is an old one.

    That's a big lock with an oversized shackle!🔒 Nice to see such a radical warding in it. I imagine the tolerences were pretty good too.🤔👍🙃

  • @tonyholt90
    @tonyholt90 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    nicely done,and if you're having trouble getting over the warding then I've got no hope LOL ...

    Impressive lock and picking! have you tried with the SSDEV hooks I think the thiner tip would be easier to maneuver around the sharp warding edges?

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't try them, though I bet it would work if it wasn't too thick..

    This looked a lot harder than the cisa shutter lock you did. What made this one harder. ?

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably just me having an "off" day... or an "on" day before.

  • @chefgav1
    @chefgav1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    With these keyways is it the long pins or the short pins that make these tricky?

  • @stig..locks..r956
    @stig..locks..r956 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    same here nice to see u have to put up a little fight whith a lock lol any way nice job on that key way nasty thanks stiglocks..r

    • @lockpickinglawyer

  • @neerithedragon298
    @neerithedragon298 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    fascinating! I dont quite understand the terminology and what a driver pin etc does and what causes this counter rotation, but it is all very interesting nonetheless!

    LPL: If you have any questions or comments about this lock, please put them below"
    EVERYBODY ELSE: "How did you do that ?" (I _censored_ all the swearing)

  • @lapislazuli2896

    What are those single serrations for?

    • @lockpickinglawyer
      @lockpickinglawyer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably an anti-rake feature... makes it harder for overset pins to drop down.

    • @lapislazuli2896
      @lapislazuli2896 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does it have any effect on single pin picking the lock?

    • @eridianassassin2421
      @eridianassassin2421 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say if you’re spp-ing it may come into play depending on how heavy your tension is and how heavy handed you are with your picking hand. It would just feel like an extra serration once you push the security pins above the shear line.

  • @kevinmartingreen
    @kevinmartingreen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It looked like the keyway was printed on the keys. Am I crazy?

    • @chefgav1
      @chefgav1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kevinmartingreen yes

    • @kevinmartingreen
      @kevinmartingreen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      chefgav1, check the video at 6:55. I'm pretty sure that's the profile of the keyway stamped onto the key.

    • @chefgav1
      @chefgav1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kevinmartingreen yep I have a few of these and you are right

    • @kevinmartingreen
      @kevinmartingreen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      chefgav1, that's kinda cool. I haven't seen that before. If I manufactured a lock with a nasty keyway I'd probably be proud of it too.

    • @chefgav1
      @chefgav1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kevinmartingreen the bidding on this must have been tough because LPL opened the shutter variant with same keyway quite quickly but in saying that LPL opens most locks in under 1 1/2 minutes including Multlocks
