- Today, I show you how I started and ran an eCommerce brand from scratch in 2023. I will show you how I research the product, how I built the Shopify store and branded the product, how I marketed the product using short form content and how many sales I made.

Quick questions:
1. Do you switch all the packages manually from the suplier ones to the new ones you've ordered? How do you plan if you restock? I believe you would like the Chinese suppliers do the packing stuff for you.
2. Would like to see from your comment reply or in a new video, how you're going to deal with the whole process, e.g. VA for customer service, the logistics (sent from your home in UK in the long run?), the marketing stragety etc.

1. Yes but will send custom packaging to supplier to package in large stock
2. Doing customer service manually ATM, all customers are UK based (because shipping on my site is quite expensive, I think I would have had more sales if it was lower) so sending packages out myself using a site called Parcel2go (will make a video on packaging and shipping orders). Marketing strategy will be to continue with organic content and then use the data to run ads

Hey there! I really liked your video! However, can you explain the legal side of matters? Obviously you would need a business credit card in order to justify money coming to your bank account. Then you would need to make a business license and figure out how to pay taxes (do you hire a tax lawyer for this?) and other stuff. Can you please explain that? Thank you!!😅😅

@@ElliottPrendy As for marketing, I have tried various methods. I have used social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram to promote my products. However, when it comes to using a VPN (free VPN), I'm confused because even after using it, the views on my posts have not exceeded 200 within a span of two months.
Hey! Good content. I am thinking about doing coffee grounds subscription. Did you transfer the tea leafs from the chinese packaging to your new packaging? Is this sustainable? It is kind of a waste of money paying for a chinese packaging and then trnsfering it yourself to a new one no?
Yeaa you could just buy the leaves in a bulk package BUT then you have to weigh them all yourself. If you buy them pre packaged the weighing is already done

For products such as tea and other foodstuffs, normally a marking or standard is needed for sale in different countries without problems, for example CE for Europe or FC for US, etc.
how to handle this? because the person who puts them on sale is responsible not the supplier like chions etc. Please guide us.
You can get public liability insurance for around £35 per month here in the UK (not sure about other countries) to protect yourself/ your business from being sued
@@ElliottPrendy Don't you need a permit or something to sell this in the UK? In Germany, for example, it is unfortunately not that easy to do.

Hey, can you make a video on payment gateway for untapped countries... Since my conversion rate is less than 0.1% when I'm using stripe.. (unless you know how to fix the issues with stripe, my store's traffic is from mexico)
I'm not sure if your low conversion rate would be down to the payment gateway?
@@ElliottPrendy I'm certain that it is, I had 9% of my customers through to checkout and 0.05% of my customers were able to pay. Can I get in contact with you if you know any solutions? This is a major issue for me because I missed out on 4000 checkouts because of this.. Thank you. :)
Stripe is super reliable usually. Do you not have Shopify payments & PayPal? PayPal is available in Mexico
@@ElliottPrendy Thank you, I will enable PayPal but I disabled Shopify Payments. Have you had good conversion rates in stores with traffic from Latin America? It could be an issue with my stripe account but I'm not sure.

Can you please recommend software I could build to help Ecommerce sellers ? (I’m a dev )
I would mostly recommend WordPress since it has a lot of different plug-ins that would make your life a lot easier. Plus, that software is a self-hosted platform so you have full control over your website and analytics. I would also suggest having someone edit your e-commerce website for you. It just takes a lot of work off your hands and ensures that your website is engaging and responsive.

Maybe run an ecom store on the side to find the pain points and start a software from there
But why 10/mo profit only? I mean how do we run these numbers maybe you have a spreadsheet to share or a course? I’d love to make much more than that in revenue and profit
Well it's a tea brand. Tea doesn't have a large mark up hence why you need to focus on growing monthly recurring revenue. Many products have much higher profit margins but people won't purchase them on subscription. Subscription products are all about life time value of the customer

Yes you can add as many products as you want to one store

To be clear, you didn't spend any money on advertising? You used free organic advertising by posting to TikTok and Reels? Would it have been worth paying to advertise on these platforms for improved conversion/growth?
That's right. It might have been but the margins are quite small on this product so used organic to build initial customers

Hey man, it really is a whole lot of work to start your e-commerce business, but you can find people who can edit your website for you, and manage the content you put out to advertise. As far as website development goes, and video creation, you can find them fairly cheap. Feel free to send me an email, and I might be able to help out.
