Echo what other’s have said; the crumpets need cooking for much longer. Try to remember that they’re much, much thicker than most breads. I’d recommend toasting for 3-5 mins on a medium/high heat. You want them to be fairly dark brown (without burning), that way they have a crispy exterior and fluffy centre

Try cooking the crumpets a little more until they have a crunch to them.
Have you tried putting other toppings on, like Nutella or if you like marmite.
You could also add scrambled eggs xx

Definitely cook those crumpets for longer, they look like they’ve not even been through the toaster! That’s probably why you don’t like them cx

I put them through the toaster twice and the texture just doesn't seem to change 😂 It confuses me cause if I'm having toast, I put the bread through the toaster once and it's fine. 😂x

Crumpet is definitely undercooked… for me anyway, you want it too be golden brown… borderline nearly burnt or the texture is foul! Also cheese spread on them is a game changer! Loving this video though! I love it when you do these! ❤❤❤❤

I will take note of that as I know what you mean about the texture being vile. It was still all soggy after I put it through the toaster twice so I thought maybe that's just how the texture is supposed to be 😂

Just catching up on all your videos. You should definitely try melted cheese on crumpets. Unsure if it’ll change the texture much 😂 but it helps the taste.
Supermarkets have done so much better this year. As much as I love sweet stuff, I think I’d prefer a balance of both. Although the quiche and pasta is definitely an improvement on previous years. A few years ago, there would be only sweet things xx
