Gukesh's chess game is boring, methodical and lacking panache. Magnus is in a different league, in his games you wait for moves whose strategic sense is reassuring that chess will not die to a draw. Or games such as the one from 2021 with Nepo, 136 moves long, are watched with interest. Yesterday, while watching the broadcast and commentary, I was waiting impatiently for the screen to change to the Fabi Nepo match. The World Championship match makes no sense for Carlsen, let Gukesh reach 2900 fide and then you can admire him.
