It does, listen to any twin turbo car vs a single turbo varient and you will realise that this is the case. Turbochargers act as mufflers in the sense that the exhaust gasses must first pas through the exhaust turbine housing before exiting through the exhaust. Add 2 turbos to the mix and the exhaust noise is further muffled.
