I also read Ima Koi and I really enjoyed the first volume. I liked how different was to the typical first volume of a shojo series and I'm excited to see what happens.

if you’re looking for another shojo rec just for fun and just to have some light reads i really love snow white with the red hair and my love mix-up! i also usually read shonen or seinen but both those series really got me 🥰
i also love hell’s paradise and thought the ending was great! alice in borderland is my favorite manga of all time and i’m a little disappointed by the print quality but i’m just so happy it’s getting an english print finally because it makes it more accessible

If u like historical seinens you should read Kingdoms its one of my favorite mangas of all time, now unfortunately there're no english released physicals of the series, but you should still check it out online, I think you would really enjoy it

Yoooooooooo you HAVE GOT to watch the Yu Yu Hakusho anime. I’m also primarily a manga reader and only watch anime once in a blue moon but the anime for YYH is one you simply cannot miss
I was missing Vagabond vol 12 VB edition and it just came back in stock. I'm crossing my fingers because the last time I tried to order it it got cancelled. Out of stock in minutes and the same thing happened with monster VB vol 1 and 5...
My Alice In Borderland volume also had the ink problem!! I picked up a couple and flipped through in Barnes & Noble and almost all of them had some issue with the faded ink across pages. Not sure what happened with this release but its very disappointing because I had a really fun time reading the first volume! - Jerry
I got loads of manga in March, I got the first Bleach box set, I got the Dragon Ball box set, the 5th Fairy Tail box set, I got around 15 volumes of JoJo’s, I’ve now completed the series up to the second volume of Golden Wind, I got volumes from 13 -27 of Claymore, vol 91-98 of One Piece, I got the 4th vol of Fist of the North Star, vol 2 & 10 of Chainsaw Man, first 4 volumes of Undead Unluck, the 6th perfect edition of Soul Eater, vol 4 of Jujutsu Kaisen, vol 7 of Spy X Family & then my favourite deluxe edition 10 of Berserk.
also very surprised that you picked up imakoi, and this is just my opinion, but i def don’t think it’s for you. i enjoy most vanilla shoujo manga, but i don’t think it’s something to start with for those who gravitate towards other demographics and genres. i plan to collect it since it’s by the creator of wolf girl and black prince (nostalgic), but when i read ahead online, i did not enjoy the turn it took in vol 2. aside from that, i thought it was enjoyable but far from groundbreaking. i would recommend something more like yona of the dawn!
I felt the same way with my Alice in Borderlands copy. It looks faded and the cover feels thin. I was expecting 20th century boys special edition quality and was disappointed when that was not the case.
I don't know if you have this series but since you like Seinen I highly recommend Goblin Slayer it is a really gritty Seinen with a lot of good side stories and a all around good series for me but that's my opinion so.
Is there any action in frieren or is it like 90% talking/slice of life? I don’t mind a lot of dialogue and back drop/lore dumps but if that’s all it is I’ll probably have to pass. Looking for a new fantasy manga Also mashle hypeeee I hope it gets an anime
Mashle vol 5 was so good, Dart is my boy. Beastars has gotten a little long for my liking but I did like the anime. Alice In Borderland on Netflix is so frickin good, highly recommend.
when i need something more chill, i love to read slice of life manga (or watch slice of life anime), nothing to crazy, just a really good chill anime or manga to slow down hahahaha. These days i watch a anime called "Super Cub" really really good

For me personally I tend to base it off of my personal enjoyment and in a way compare them with other series in my collection. I find series that I really love and in a way compare them with others that I enjoy to kinda gauge how much I like it! Also with time and with reading a lot of series I kinda start to get a sense of what I like :)

I agree - I don't think the series is for me. But, I've actually read Yona vol 1 and LOVE IT! I need to get more :)
