China's top 3 largest rivers(from north to south):
2nd: Yellow river flow through some big cities: Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Zhengzhou, Ji'nan and etc
1st: Yangtze river flow through Panzhihua, Yibin, Chongqing, YinChang, Wuhan, Jiujiang, Nanjing, Shanghai. Provinces of Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi have at one branch river that pass throughout its region.
3rd: Zhujiang river flow through Nanning, Guangzhou
The Grand Canal started from 2,000+ years ago to connect Yellow river and Yangtze river
Lingqu Canal was dug in 214 BC(2,200+years ago) to connect Yangtze river and Zhujiang river.
