Fantastic reaction! You are the first person who has watched this documentary, who noticed that Brian left because he was mad and, and that the band was probably going to fight behind the scenes, not in from of the cameras. It is only people who are Queens fans who know this because it has been discussed and noticed over the years. Brain and Freddie often clashed, they were often at the opposite ends of opinions. Although it was actually Brian and Roger who were fighting the most out of them all, but also got along at the same time. Generally, it was Freddie and Roger who got along the best. Freddie also worked well with John.
I can’t. How do you know they were going out to fight? I mean, it’s common knowledge that they argued at times, but with all due respect, how do you jump to this conclusion?
@@maelcaha5111 Yes, they fighted a lot. Brian could get very head strong when someone tried to interfere with his guitar parts, there was about of fights about this in the 80's. And as Hap3 mentioned, they all just basically suddenly stormed off, without saying much. There were definitely big fights at the time. Maybe it is jumping to a conclusion, but this is how the topic has been discussed in the general fandom for ages.
It's open to interpretation that's all. But you will have to re-watch it. I'm certain Brian was not overly happy with how Freddie was talking to him in that moment. You can just feel it. In some of their music I have felt a battle between them. But that could be the instruments just talking. Also appreciate the comment Zenobia. 💜

The song was already in Freddie's mind when it wasn't even done. He kindly persuaded the others to play the way he wanted. They took word for him because they knew it could only be good what he had dreamed of. I love them!
All four were not only songwriters but to some extent multi instrumentalists. Oh and Brian used/uses an old sixpenny piece. The producer btw was Reinhold Mack, John and Freddie were godfathers to one of his sons Frederick John.
Hi Christine, yes I think in another reaction I did. Somebody already had mentioned the connection and who the producer was. Yes, these 4 are/were great musicians that sought out perfection in music.
Queen wore a complicated musical marriage later on in there years together by the 1980s, etc.. they had Studio a b c d, etc.. not all of them would work together all of the time. Usually the way they did their recordings, the band member said that they would either have the bass drums & vocals/piano OR they would have lead guitar drums and vocals. That's why John Deacon was sitting out there with Mack. It wasn't that they forgot him it's just that when they recorded songs that's the way they did it. I love the making of this song and the documentary.
They sometimes started in the afternoon or evening and would work until morning. Breaking up a bit with a little fun along with being tired and hungry. Freddie was going down a Chinese menu and they decided to keep the fried chicken, because, well, why not?
HAP : Jim Hutton, Freddie's common law husband for the last 6yrs of Freddie's life, actually suggested they keep "fried chicken" at the end as he wrote in his book "Mercury & Me", a fabulous read all about their years together... they were so happy with each other. If someone is playing an electric keyboard, you can be sure it is NOT Freddie. He hated the electronic Wurliizer they had in their studio and would always play on the Grand piano (it accompanied them on tour). “I refused to play that damn thing,” Mercury said of the electric piano. “It’s tiny and horrible and I don’t like them. Why play those when you have a lovely superb piano?"
I knew you would enjoy that. You have been dead on on several of your observations, for sure. You would also really enjoy any of the videos with Roger and Brian commenting and narrating the performances. I will include a couple links but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Thank you! Well I have to get around watching these but I have not done the song Keep Yourself Alive reaction yet. So perhaps in due course. Cheers for your commentary and specific comment relating to the nuances noticed during the reaction. 🙏
John didn't join in their bickering. Brian said that once they looked up and there was a note where John usually stood saying he'd be back in two weeks, he needed a holiday.
Great seeing the creative masters at work. Instruments or vocals leaking onto other tracks I've heard being referred to as bleeding but don't know if that's the official term. After Freddie us talking about videos & wanting the audience to make up their own images when it goes back to the studio, Freddie's partner Jim Hutton is on the left.
You should check out QUEEN live at Wembley One Vision 1986!!!!! ❤❤❤❤ if you think the video is awesome and this documentary is awesome you haven't seen anything until you see the song live.!! Freddie Mercury put on one hell of a show, and each member does their thing to perfection. I watch it all the time and never Tire of it because that concert was epic!!! Also Brian May first learn how to play the piano before he ever learned how to play guitar. Rodger Taylor doesn't just play the drums but he also plays guitar. Freddie Mercury plays guitar and piano and then John learn how to play the electric piano. Brian also plays the electric piano at the very beginning of the song.. it may have been synthesizers. It's just that Brian was playing that part before anyone started singing.
Brian is ALWAYS giving him side eye!! Roger just let Freddie be Freddie, but makes sly comments, but in jest. They clash! But .. he almost drove off a bridge when Freddie died. It def affected John Deacon (Deaky) the most though. He was GONE
I ALWAYS learn something from your explanations/details you point out! I just suggested the documentary cuz I thought you would enjoy it, yourself. Because you seem to really enjoy/are knowledgeable about the "technical side" (I don't think that's quite the term I'm looking for?) of music-making. (It's 3 a.m. when I'm typing this, maybe that's why I'm vocab deficient!) .....Thank you for making me LAUGH, BTW!💕
Deaky was meant to be in with Mac. They would often record each instrument in different ways. Sometimes ambient sound, sometimes amplified, sometimes straight to tape. Often times multiple ways for different layers of sound.
Yes. I have been in a studio before. I don't think he actually recorded there though. He would have eventually gone out into the recording room/booth. Even though he was there with Mack, I liked their energy. Bass is sometimes added after the song i.e before completion. Depends. In this instance the way the documentary is edited is funny. Thus my comments are just thoughts. Nothing scripted. I liked the way the camera moved around with them both. Otherwise this "reaction" to the One Vision Documentary would have just been me staring at a screen and you guys looking at my face without any commentary and quite frankly that is boring. I wanted to bring the humor from the One Vision song into this One Vision documentary and continue with that same energy.
oh yeah! that time in munich, germany (aka. "münchen, deutschland"). the taxes in britain got so high that the band moved to germany so that they can still live from their income! not long ago, maybe last year?!, the munich-flat of freddie mercury was sold! as munich is very expensive, the 130m²-flat was sold for over 2 million euros! a flat - not a house! when the taxes went down and where low again, the band returned to england - all, but freddie! shortly after that they build a studio in montreal, switzerland. been there - very nice place! and to poor john: he was always like "i have no idea, why i am in this band..." ... but still one of the best players ever!
Brian started with piano. If you dont know about Brians guitar, you should look it up .. the red one. He and his dad built it. Its SOOO unique. Freddie can be snippy and controlling in the studio 😂
I would suggest You review "Find me somebody to Love" - Must be Montreal 1981 - Live. It is incredible! (You are now listening and watching a live rehearsal session in the studio for the creation of "One Vision".) Thank you.
Freddie was good at making things work if things were getting stressed his personality and sense of humour defused things but was very professional and pushed them to the best
HAP3SPEAKZ I’m a new sub, so I’m probably down on the list of requests, But “Was it all Worth it” is a fabulous song.....it was done, like I want it all, during Freddie’s battle with HIV, lyrics, harmonies, production is fabulous, not well known, but most Queen fanatics know it well. By the way, John (Deaky) Deacon, could not sing, but he could write songs, Another One Bites the dust, Now I’m here, Under Pressure , Your my best Friend, (for his wife Veronica) and created the Vox Deaky Amp, which helped Brian’s red special scream
Freddie gave an interview in Australia when he was promoting his album and when the guy asked about Brian Freddie said "well, we haven't killed each other yet--but there's still time." They argued alot.
Check out One by One, Only the good dye young and Too much Love can Kill you. Both Brian May songs and break your heart. Brian uses an old six pence to play his guitar. They always argued in the studeo, it got their creative juices going.
Keep thinking. What would beggining. . I'm mean one vision documentary and ending says something by playing it backward. Chicken feet or fried chicken . Don't mind me , just a crazy thought
I get the impression brian wasn't the easiest to work with! He was so focused on him and not how it all works together Their roadie said Brian's leadoften got tangled in Freddie because he was lost in his own world Roger and Freddie needed to try and tell him here he needed to change what he was doing
@@HAP3SPEAKZ I agree he clearly had issues, but it would have been hard going, you need to see yourself as and work as part of a group not stubbornly on your own

Marvelous!!! 🎹 The grand piano certainly suits them way better. Perhaps the electronic sound was to engage a younger crowd in the 80's. Which was all the craze then.

Wow, we are getting a reaction, we're getting educated and humor!!!! Love it
You think so?? 😂😂

Yes it's a fact. NO B.S!!!

It was always champagne for Freddie darling 😉. ❤️Freddie❤️
Lovely bubbly 🍾 💜
I knew you would enjoy that. You have been dead on on several of your observations, for sure. You would also really enjoy any of the videos with Roger and Brian commenting and narrating the performances. I will include a couple links but you really can't go wrong with any of them. I just discovered these and have been binge watching them. lol

Another quality reaction!!
Thank you! Well I have to get around watching these but I have not done the song Keep Yourself Alive reaction yet. So perhaps in due course. Cheers for your commentary and specific comment relating to the nuances noticed during the reaction. 🙏
This was a joy to watch with your perspectives and humour. Thank you :)
Thank you for appreciating them. 💜🎶

Freddie drinking only champagne 🥂
John didn't join in their bickering. Brian said that once they looked up and there was a note where John usually stood saying he'd be back in two weeks, he needed a holiday.
Great seeing the creative masters at work. Instruments or vocals leaking onto other tracks I've heard being referred to as bleeding but don't know if that's the official term. After Freddie us talking about videos & wanting the audience to make up their own images when it goes back to the studio, Freddie's partner Jim Hutton is on the left.
So much more fun watching it with someone else. I've seen this a few times already but loved your reaction.
Amazing musicians!!! Thank you so much for your insightful comment too! I'll be sure to check out that version. 💜👑

Is Hap ready for Cool Cat? Melancholy Blues? Dreamers ball? Not to mention Barcelona , or The Golden boy!!
We`ll have to leave to a vote I guess.
And Impromptu from Wembly 1986, often overlooked but pretty amazing
Brian is ALWAYS giving him side eye!! Roger just let Freddie be Freddie, but makes sly comments, but in jest. They clash! But .. he almost drove off a bridge when Freddie died. It def affected John Deacon (Deaky) the most though. He was GONE
I ALWAYS learn something from your explanations/details you point out!
I just suggested the documentary cuz I thought you would enjoy it, yourself. Because you seem to really enjoy/are knowledgeable about the "technical side" (I don't think that's quite the term I'm looking for?) of music-making. (It's 3 a.m. when I'm typing this, maybe that's why I'm vocab deficient!)
.....Thank you for making me LAUGH, BTW!💕
Thanks Marcella. It's great to know you smiled too. 🙂

He does say fried chicken 😂😂😂 it was a DARE 😂😂😂
Love it! ❤️❤️❤️
Haha 😄 amazing 👏
You heard it right, but you missed what he said after turd and beforeJohn Deacon 😂😂😂😂😂
1st time reaction.... the last thing I want to do is give a platform for such tomfoolery. 😉😂
I love your channel and your passion Thank you for sharing
Thank you 🤗
Deaky was meant to be in with Mac. They would often record each instrument in different ways. Sometimes ambient sound, sometimes amplified, sometimes straight to tape. Often times multiple ways for different layers of sound.
Thank you!
Great reaction!
Glad to have you here. 🥁
The piece where you wanted to know what Freddie was singing was:
"One dump"
"One turd"
"Two tits"
"John Deacon"
Thrown off completely 🙂
Ah, yes, the masters at work. This is how it's done, chicken feet and all. 🐔🦶😄
Fried Chicken please... 🙂
@@HAP3SPEAKZ I highly recommend the 1977 "News of the World" Queen tour documentary for great behind the scenes stuff. No reaction video necessary. 😊👍
Oh again, I won't be watching any documentaries just yet. 🙂 One Vision Documentary was just a One off. Excuse the pun.
John is determining his chords to Brian’s piano which would be done on guitar
Thanks for clarifying Jeannine. 👑

Your reaction was Awesome!
oh yeah! that time in munich, germany (aka.
Wow John.... you're the first person to have ever said this in the comments. How do you know all this?
(Copyrighted HAP3SPEAKZ) ©️
@@HAP3SPEAKZ do you mean something specific? i am from germany and have been a queen-fan since i was 6 - and that's over 30 years ago :)
Ohh so you know about the real estate well then. That's good. I don't understand why they had to live from their income.. when they were a world wide success.

All for of those individual guys were meant to be The Legends that they are❣️❣️ Queen❣️👑👑👑😇👑🎵
They are IMO
Brian & Freddie fought a lot, but loved each other like brothers
They made great music as a result.

@@Sandy-dt2mp they do INDEED
Freddie was good at making things work if things were getting stressed his personality and sense of humour defused things but was very professional and pushed them to the best
Yes, it’s 1985, before the Magic Tour which went all over Europe and finished in Britain in July 1986
Thank you making that clear Jeannine.

Sure everyone one is on the list. However, I am trying to keep it fair or try not to mention the same person twice. It's hard to do actually. Thank you for your suggestion. I'm doing best for what I co do right now. This channel is quite diverse and I do other genres that are requested. Thank you for your message. 💜

August , not July
They are just messing about with the turd remark. They are having fun.
Freddie gave an interview in Australia when he was promoting his album and when the guy asked about Brian Freddie said "well, we haven't killed each other yet--but there's still time." They argued alot.
They say it all the time, .. they are FOUR very different people!
Love hearing your insights..
Appreciate you Ridzuan! 🙏
@@HAP3SPEAKZ You deserve more subscribers mate. That's why I've also shared your reaction to the Queen official group on FB :)
🤯 that's unexpected. Thank you. 👍🏽🎶💯
Notice how Freddie and John change shirts during the end.
Check out One by One, Only the good dye young and Too much Love can Kill you. Both Brian May songs and break your heart. Brian uses an old six pence to play his guitar. They always argued in the studeo, it got their creative juices going.
Rare Brian and Freddie duet 'To Much Love Will Kill You '.

Im pretty sure he was roasting john deacon when he was messing around
It's all good fun. Just saw the humor with it from the Fried Chicken reference.
Freddie was a perfectionist
Loved it!
Keep thinking. What would beggining. . I'm mean one vision documentary and ending says something by playing it backward. Chicken feet or fried chicken . Don't mind me , just a crazy thought
Hmm I think the Fried chicken remark was just made up on the spot as they were hungry. 👑🎶

Its crazy to see how these classics were born. I love it. Freddie is so gay 😂
I like your babbling. You notice stuff that a lot of people just dont and you wanna share it. Im talking to you .. lol
Roger will crack ya up at times 😂
HE SAYS (CHICKEN FEED BABE)
I get the impression brian wasn't the easiest to work with!
He was so focused on him and not how it all works together
Their roadie said Brian's leadoften got tangled in Freddie because he was lost in his own world
Roger and Freddie needed to try and tell him here he needed to change what he was doing
He may have had a lot of personal issues going on. Which led to some great songs too.
@@HAP3SPEAKZ
I agree he clearly had issues, but it would have been hard going, you need to see yourself as and work as part of a group not stubbornly on your own
