Imams can have shortcomings. And .. this kind of teachings works detrimentally for the faith. I Agree with you guys on this point. But your anecdotal experience doesn't invalidate the facts that there is God and God has revealed scripture and the last Scripture is preserved just like God had promised. You guys talk lacks any type of depth and nuance
1. A pedophile and sex addict like Mohammad can never be a prophet. A man written book Quran (with plagerism of Judaism, Christianity, Paganism and folk fables) cannot be an eternal spoken speech of God. A religion that legitimised polygamy, child marriage, sex slavery; which promises carnal pleasures such as 72 virgins in heaven cannot be a true religion. 2. Islam operates with this logical fallacy:
Premise: Quran preserves monotheism.
Conclusion: Therefore all the claims of Quran are true.
However the conclusion doesn't follow from the premise.
