During this learning session I did a substantial amount of understanding and memorization of the piece. That's how I was able to learn it so fast. I didn't look at the score much during the recording! 😃 Performance notes: • The stretto and rall at the end was quite deliberate. Oh yes! Thoughts: • Lose Gt => Ped coupler to prevent loss of G#3s etc. • 01:29: Pedal solo: Tenuto the top notes even more! • 01:52: I played most of this run with my left hand, as marked in the Peters edition score I used. However, I think I have a better way now! Better for articulation and smooth brain operation! • 02:28: Scuff re E5. Hand tension (due to mental exhaustion) I think!
Oh this would be fun to hear for real. Loved it John. Yeah firs time through, you tweak after. Not sure how much contrast is possible with this organ. On a French Classical organ you have varied strength in the reeds. I listened on my large planar headphones. A true hoot! Loud and proud. I know it would be louder at the console, but It was still fun! Mark
