This is my favorite PS2 Racing game, sadly they don't make this game anymore :( eventually some people may find the concept look boring, but once I played it, I become addicted to it, good memories.
I played the first one via an emulatpr on PC today, I'm definitely downloading this one too, although the physics in the first one were.. Interesting?

The physics are actually amazing for it's time.
wtf? the physics are really good, not so much for drift tho, but even in today standards, i wish ea shitheads had those physics on all the new nfs games, they would be playable at least.

@@notprosperBEATS just want to point out forza used very old models. most of the porsche cars are straight from their ps3 games with just some minor details added. they don't model 400 cars every time a new game comes out

I honestly used to hate this game back when I was a kid as the transition from highway racing to touge racing didn't appeal to me at all. But when I got to replay it last year, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's absolutely satisfying beating high horsepower cars with a Honda CR-X (my first car) that almost has a 1 to 1 power ratio on the mountains lol.
I also love the intro song of this game too. I just really wish there was a full version of it. Such a really nice intro.

I preferred highway racing but this is good too

I still have this game along with all other possible to own PS2 copies of the Tokyo Xtreme Series. Any other games of the series that is only dreamcast or dare I say Xbox360 ported, (coughing, Import Tuner Challenge, coughing) then I do not own yet.

Minor mistake on the developers about the 156 GTA. It’s 250hp not 192. 192 is the 2.5 V6, the 3.2 the GTA has is more powerful

Look in the description. And you might wanna change the resolution scaling depending on how powerful your rig is. He usually plays these at 5K, but you can usually get away with 4K or 2K
My actual playthrough dont let me find the first gen RX-7 nor the FR Starion. Ive beaten all K12 and 13D, have hokkaido open and the 3 latest short courses. Now im grinding in Gymkhana and visiting every map in different days and conditions to see what i missed. But would be perfect to find a list telling exactly what i have to do to unlock every normal car.

I wish to know the name of the keepers of these unlockables to find them on wiki and see the conditions
@@Drift4Drifters use the dolls since they only appear in certain weather conditions and check each store, event type and free practice in case you find one there.
@@jettlucashayes8508 already doing it. But like I said, would be better to know their names to check their conditions on wiki. So far, I didn't found that info in no walkthrough. But I'll find it, sooner or later.

Anyone know how to unlock the sp versions of the Subaru impreza and the evo 8..I finished the game and beat everyone and those are the only two cars missing from the car list....

@@rabbidcrazy787 There was no Ford in the Japanese version either. KB1 did have Fords, but not its American localization, and the Ford models in that were never sold in the US anyway.

@@adlibbed2138 Bruh they were in Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 which came out not that long before this game. There's like 0 American manufacturers present in this game. And I'm assuming it's a death wish to bring a 4th Gen Camaro, C5 Corvette Z06 or a Viper to the togue too?

Everything normal, just the habitual jdm touge/wangan/drifting/rally/meme legends, with some European hatchbacks/rally cars for flavor... and there is the Mercedes-Benz DTM homologation legends, coming from nowhere.
