    There are so many other hidden points. Of course, as you pointed, Haruna is the real name of Mt. Akina (located in Gunma). And the Aki in Akina means Autumn (that's why Takumi is called Autumn Lord. It's so clever I want to cry. (By the way the Haru in Haruna means spring lol)

    Fun fact: Another RedSuns inspired theme was also in TXR3 and Street Supremacy under the name Rotary Revolution (CMIIW).

      I know, I discovered that and the No Loser were inspired by the Team Emperor because they drove Lan-Evo's on Highway.

      @@rickyRofficial I always thought No Loser was inspired by No Good Racing. No loser drives EVO's only and No good racing only drives Civics. Also they both are in Osaka and their names both have No in it. The reason they never used Hondas was because they don't like to be associated with street racing.

    It's also worth noting Lightning Shift doubles as a reference to the mainline Shutoko Battle games, where he is the leader of Diamond Image between TXR1 and TXR3. In TXR3, it's stated his 86 was totaled, hence why he drives a Starlet in that game. Similarly, the Downhill Guys in the Kaido Battle games are members of the Rolling Guys throughout the Shutoko Battle games. And of course this doesn't even bring up the more obvious case of the 13 Devils appearing as bosses.
    As for another possible reference, the rival Pretty Boy in Akagi seems like a reference to Kenta Nakamura, as he drives an S14 and is mentioned to be an apprentice to Akagi Blue Sign (the RedSuns stand-in).

    a funny coincidence is that takuya is on hakone, which is the final track project d races on. funny cause this game came out a solid 5+ years before the end of the initial d manga
    edit: you also couldve brought up the gutter mechanic and the leaf piles in nikko (which i presume affect your traction, similar to takumi and kai's first battle)

    • @alexsaffamerica

    This is cool, I recently managed to buy a brand new copy of the Japanese version. I had a pirated version of the JP version when it came out, but also bought the European release. Only problem is that the Euro version had a messed up translation in places, also you couldn't use the bosses paintjobs on your own cars anymore.
    I completely forgot the game literally had the Initial D AE86 with the graphics in it. Now I just have to get PS2 emulation working because I don't have a TV that works with my old PS2

      Also, they eliminated two rim brands (Racing Sparco and Speedline Corse), which they replaced their rims to Yokohama Advan AVS rims for rivals that use the said rims.

    • @IdiotRace
      @IdiotRace 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jskylinegtr34 Must be a licensing thing if they removed those in the Euro version. Although pretty sure Sparco had like it's own Japanese sub brand with stuff purely made in Japan. Thats a shame though seeing as there are quite a few Euro cars in KB3.
      I did get it working on an emulator but honestly I couldn't get the controls to where I would like em, for some reason it was way too twitchy. So I ended up playing SB01 instead.

    • @ArbitraryOutcome
      @ArbitraryOutcome 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jskylinegtr34 Generally speaking, the localized versions of these games tended to release a couple years after the original Japanese release, and by then some of the licenses would have expired. It's why Gemballas were absent in the export releases of KB3, as well as several European cars/makes were also absent in KB1 and 2's export release.
