For those of you who don't know, PS2 was originally supposed to be a Master System game. During the early development Sega moved it over to the then just released MegaDrive (Genesis), and they rebuilt the game from scratch, with a substantially different storyline. This is now my head canon music for the canceled original project.
I remember reading in a 1993 developer interview posted online where they talked about a couple scrapped story ideas, also the reason why Phantasy Star 2 dungeons were so difficult.
Thank you very much, it is an honor for me that you comment here on my channel. I started making remixes because I found out about your channel and it inspired me a lot to make them too. I spent more than four months working to make it as faithful to the original tracks as possible, so I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
@@sansenpai3556 With how synthy/techno PS2's soundtrack is, I suspect it will probably "work" better staying PSG, but I'd definitely love to hear how it turns out anyways!
@@DenGreatshot I'm having a hard time making it sound good, I've tried different approaches, I've even tried to make it sound similar to PS1, but nothing sounds good enough to me yet.
Truly sublime. Feels like an alternate-universe childhood.

Wow. I did know I needed to listen to a MS version of PS2. Amazing pieces of work Sir.

At first it didn't sound like that so I had to spend a lot of time especially on the noise channel.
