As someone who dreams of opening their own photography studio some day I find this video truly inspiring. I always thought your studio looks super stylish and super functional. I really like your speaking to cam setup with the studio in the background, it gives perfect context of who you are and what you do. I'm not a big fan of the documentary setup with the scifi vibes, I find it kinda claustrophobic and random. Everything else is awesome 👍
Agreed. The honest opinions without all the geek talk. The geek talk is good to know...but should not overpower the simplicity of the craft and what it takes to get it done.
I think installing sound panels in your roof will take your audio to a whole new level. Having that much space will inevitably give a lot of echo. Sound panels in the roof tone down the echo, while you do little adjustments in post. Great studio tour by the way, thanks for sharing.
This was a great video; you've helped a *lot* of people with this video. Always been watching your content; you touch on things [like the outdoor comparison of 200mm, 135mm, 105mm, & 85mm DOF, lens compression, & shooting distances] that we don't see elsewhere. Thank you
I’ve been following you since your original ambient light tutorials and now I’m trying to get a studio space myself in NYC. Definitely a dope inspiration and I’ll be using information from your space to level up my own 💪🏾💪🏾
Love the nail tech stool/chair the most…didn’t see that coming 😃 Seriously, seeing the Raven eye track you and the your collection of cameras did it for me! I too am in the market for a Sony cinema camera! I’m interested in seeing what you end up choosing; I’m an FX3 or 6 fan currently. Thanks for an amazing video and happy anniversary on having your studio space 👍🏽💯
The over head rail system and the elevating table have got to be game changers. I shoot just for fun so I can only dream about it but how cool. Street photography. I thought about it but I live on the South Side of Chicago and would get robbed on less than 5 seconds, so that's out. You got me thinking that the elevating table might be doable. Thanks.
I’m definitely feeling the studio setup, especially after you went into detail about it all. For your audio, I’d recommend the Shure SM7B. You need a processor and a cloud lifter but it’s definitely worth it once you get it tuned right. As a new photographer myself, I learned a lot from your tour! Many Blessings to you and your company!!!
Manny thank you for your content, if you had to pick the sony a1 or the canon r5 which would you chose? I have the a1 but I just love canon. I'm considering getting the r5 with the 70-200 with 2x converter and a 28-70. Im grateful for your input!
Thank you for sharing your space. Congrats on the stepping out on your creative. I will definitely utilize some of the tips. I especially like the single pole light stand to save space. My studio is about the half the size of yours. Again excellent work. - SS
Sick Studio tour bro. Thank you for giving us a peak into your world. Love the mannyquin skit there in the middle. Keep on rockin man. Your place looks like a content creators Disneyland. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Beautiful studio! But that being said, I love your street portrait work, that's where you truly shine and what I find more "entertaining" to watch. Congrats though on having an amazing studio to work in.
Really enjoyed this video.. its different than a lot of your other videos where you keep it short and little jump cut endings but i dont care how many views this get.. just know this video is much appreciated. you showed more of yourself and thats what the people want to see. keep up the good work. and put that PS5 away and get you a gaming PC.
As you asked for feedback to make your space better I can only speak on what I would add if I was buying your space as it is. Currently it is 100% fire; but for me I would add more artwork to the walls. 24 x 36 or bigger glossy metallic prints of my best work. Especially on the background wall that is in the frame of your blog. I have a space about 1/2 the size of yours; however with 15 of my best works up. I think people love seeing photo sets because they are sexy...but seeing images on the walls bigger than life, "kills the game!" In my humble opinion. Every time I'm on a zoom call, the caller mentions my artwork. Also it is another "avenue of revenue" because the images are profiles and close-ups of items that people want in their own homes instead of models faces they don't know. Last year I sold more metallic pictures than I took pictures (with no advertisements). So I like to think of my space as an art gallery as well...with every picture for sale. Then you can have evening art social events (fashion, etc) with cool colorful lights, studio music and auctions for photos of particular themes, with a percentage going to your favorite charity. That would be my 2 cents. I did the same thing for a client in Beverly Hills for breast cancer awareness...and I thought to myself...if only I had the space to host this at my own studio space. - S
Manny!! - Question, sir.... Have you / do you ever, use a flash trigger and wireless tether, at the same time? I cant find info on how to set up.... point me the way, please...sir.....thank you. BTW - Dig the space... I'm "borrowing" some of your ideas.
So other than a video camera, and taking care of some of the cable management and clutter, what's your are some of the things you are wanting to add or replace in your studio?
Cool studio! Hope one day I'll have something similar 🙂 with all the respect Manny...why the hell do you need 3 different camera systems and like 5-6-7 powerhouse flagshippy cameras? 😀 I understand product videos on YT, but why keep them? Especially a Canon, Nikon and Sony where you need to also buy high end glass for all of them (I bet Diana thinks the same lol 😀)
Beautiful Studio! Lol Sarah almost got in trouble! Bro, you gave me the idea to rent my first studio. Now I’m in escrow to get my dream luxury studio!!
Hey Manny! congratulations on the studio! I've had the Manfrotto rails for over 10 years. There's a way to level it so your rails and pantographs won't slide. Hit me up!
Congratulations on your new studio. What are the dimensions of is. I usually find it difficult to find places with enough of celling height to use big modifiers and booms. Great idea that you have the manfrotto ceiling rails. Makes the floor looks SO clean
Amazing Studio! I only give you a great piece of advice that you will later thank me for life: a glazed wall with natural light coming in! Your fashion photography will have a beautiful aesthetic evolution!
Amazing setup.. getting my studio up to bit and using the L. Adler spot light and using more of led. Like you said, it’s that much easier especially if you can control the ambient light. Which wattage/brand would you recommend for led?
I love my rail system too. I am selling the NYC apartment and looking now for a house in Miami with a good ceiling to mount it.. May have to resort to using it in a 2 car garage (after moving the garage door opener to the wall).
Well, sure, just like everybody else I was impressed by the gear, but I also apreciated how you used the space. What are the surface perimeter details? Like total sqf, lenght, width?
Oh man, fantastic stuff there. It is great to live in a part of the world where you can work hard and actually pay off all those investments, and on top of that profit more with foto/video/contents job. Unfortunatelly here where I live, it is very hard to pay off just a pro DSLR body, few good lenses and few lights.... So yeah, I'm also dreaming about having a job like that but probably will never happen. Fortunatelly, I have you and other youtubers to enjoy your content :) Keep going, I like it!
Let's be honest, I didn't subscribe for perfect audio.😂 All jokes aside, I love the studio and my favorite part is the lighting and backdrop setup. I could live there!

@Pat's Production Hacks Lol! Yes, ceiling is the more appropriate word. Thank you for pointing that out.
Manny is an amazing photographer! One of the best decisions I made subscribing to your TH-cam channel two years ago
No lie! I am happy to see how much his channel has grown.
What a story how you have grown my brother. I’m just getting into this photo world and having fun with my basic gear. Awesome video.
Congratulations. One of the best TH-camrs there is. Plus a fantastic photographer.
